  Welcome to the HP support community. I saw your post about the problems after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. You encounter some problems because there is no driver Windows 8.1 to your model, only Windows 7 and 8.   Last night I updated to windows 8.1 8 and have had problems since. I have a 64 bit HP ENVY #C2L94UA # ABL m6 after update, I tried to play Devil may Cry game that worked perfectly under 8.0 and then he comes to start charging the computer turned off. All the options of wiping my computer clean and refreshing failed. I said that it lacked a partion for one of them. Even system restore will not work. It shows my Ati video card in device manager.   OK I solved my problems that I did start the computer in safe mode and then I uninstalled my cards video from Device Manager. I then restarted the computer and installed the version of catalyst that was said to work with 8.1 and switchable graphics cards. I have restsrted and have more no video issues at all.

  Recently, I updated my windows 8 operating system windows 8.1 (64-bit)

  2202TX assists in integrated Intel HD graphics 4000 & AMD Radeon 7670 M card (1 Gb)

  Problem:

  I noticed that my amd graphic card does not provide operating system. coz

  • in the dxdiag box I could see intel HD 4000
  • When I right click anywhere on the desktop and try to run the graphic properties, I got error that:
    "Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. Currently, there are some parameters that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center. »

  So I checked assistant HP support for an updated driver, there is not. I had also installed all windows updates.

  So I contacted HP and I have been asked to manually download drivers that are for version 8.1 of windows 2202TX.

  Then, I installed it;

  There, after I was due to problems.

  1. in the graphic section, first of all I installed driver Intel graphics high definition (HD) (sp63753), in the process, that I got following error:

  "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
  which is very strange because 2202TX meets the requirement set out in req system mentioned in the driver page.

  2. then, I installed the graphics driver AMD high definition (HD) (sp59936), which has been installed successfully. but after restarting my laptop, after awhile I got following error:

  "Catalyst Control Center: the host application has stopped working."

  and I get the same error when I right click on the screen area and click graphics properties.

  3. then when I installed Qualcomm Atheros QCA9000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows (sp64255), I got following error:

  "802.11 a/b/g/n wireless adapter device not found:
  The device may not be present or could have been ejected/disconnected from the system.
  abandonment of the installation, please insert the card and try Setup again"

  So I run the Device Manager, and the driver for the network card "Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn Wi - Fi adapter ' proved to work correctly.  and also the rest of them in that tree.

  In addition,

  4. "HP support assistant has stopped working" error if I try to open the same.

  5. when it is run: dxdiag, I am following error:

  "DxDiag has detected that there could be problem accessing Direct3D the last time this program was used.             You want to bypass Direct3D this time? »

  At this point the steps above should have solved the problem. Before installing the following drivers, please make a backup of your system, files and images. That way if something happens to the computer you won't lose any of your items.

  Thank you very much for the information and images. My suggestion would be to first update your Chipset drivers.

  Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver
  After installation, restart your computer.

  Then the next step would be to update the graphics drivers. Make sure that you first install the Intel driver and restart your computer before you install the AMD driver.

• Dell Inspiron 3442 Maxx Audio problem after update of Windows 10

  I have seen a lot of posts on this same problem with Maxx Audio in Windows 10, however, I tried to fix it by trying different solutions, that users have given and I had no chance. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled the Dell expects W10 and Maxx Audio controls do not work. Someone said that they have installed the old drivers for W8.1 and it worked again, I tried it and the controls are there, but when I try to disable Audio Maxx, it does nothing and I close the window, open again and the bar is activated if, it turns off. No idea if I'm doing something wrong? It's a problem very annoying for me since I work with many audio and now it sounds just awful! :(

  Much to my anger and regret, Dell didn't send any form of notification NO update to the platform Windows 10 and I did, then reverse it after seeing what a nightmare Windows 10 has, however, not only is now my audio DOES NOT WORK, but my departure to the top and stop sequence is ruined as well as on my laptop Dell.  I tired many times to count to reinstall the drivers for the audio, but it doesn't seem to recognize the audio driver of Dell on Microsoft which is also... • Problems after updating to Windows 8

  I had some problems with my new laptop so I decided to try the «Refresh your PC» function Doing so brought on a slew of new problems which I had no chance to solve on my own. I hope someone knows what to do with this mess.

  After "refreshing" to my PC, my laptop wouldn't let me:
  Install anything (downloads are OK, though)
  Programs open (with the exception of Internet Explorer)
  Applications open
  Open C: /.
  Open the laptop settings
  Solve problems ("an error has occurred during troubleshooting.")

  It became obvious to me that the majority of these problems were because the updating of Windows me rid of my administrative privileges.

  I tried to solve this problem with every idea that I had and every suggestion I could find online. The problem is that my phone won't allow me to do anything to capture administrative privileges.

  Here are the solutions I tried:
  'Change the Type of account' in the user accounts: parameters show that I am already administrator.  The 'Standard' option is greyed out. Nothing to do here.

  Using a command prompt: everything I try, I get the "Network Error" result... "Windows cannot access to ' if I get" net user administrator / Active: Yes "I received the reply"the system 5 error has occurred. Access is denied. "I can only assume this error occurs because I'm not an administrator. If I try to do "sfc/scannow" it says "You must be an administrator." However it won't let me run cmd as administrator.

  Exchange User Account Control: the bar is set on "notify me only when...". ». I can drag down to "Never notify", but when I try to click on 'OK' will not just pass by. I could click OK all day and nothing will happen. No error message.
  Create a new user: hit this button head to PC settings, which does not, as previously stated.
  Clean boot: Msconfig will not open, I get the error message "network error". Windows cannot access.
  Switch to the Microsoft account: 'Users' directs 'PC settings", which is an application that does not open.
  CHKDSK: whatever it is, I have no idea, but it does not open.

  If I try to "Run as Administrator" on any program, it simply doesn't. No error message.

  I reached the end of my rope after trying several solutions more that hasn't worked and tried to do a system restore. System Restore does not open. I get the error message "System Restore could not start." I would try to solve the problems, but as I said troubleshooting will not, work almost everything also, runs to the PC settings application, which does not open.

  None of these problems existed before I did the update of Windows, so I can only assume what caused their - which is a little disconcerting.

  There is a subfolder "extensions".
  Find the folder for both the lightning and Enigmail under "extensions" and delete them.

  After that my computer is very slow. It takes forever to push the power button to be ready to use browser. Even Chrome does not work correctly. Before the update, my computer was big, fast and stable.

  I recently buy a Satellite Pro P200 running Windows Vista Business. Yesterday, I updated the BIOS to the version 1.50 supplied with the machine to 1.80 available on the Toshiba site. I double checked that I was using BIOS correct update for the Pro P200 Satellitel running Vista.

  After updating the BIOS, I have now two problems:

  Hi, I have recently updated my laptop to Windows 10. I can't access the search bar by moving the cursor to top right, I can't open the tiles, I can't spend in desktop mode, etc.  Front I upgraded to Windows 10 and downgraded to 8.1 all worked perfectly, because I've updated from 8.0 to 8.1 Windows almost 2 years.  I have a defective battery. in fact I can only use my laptop if it is plugged. My fan is constantly going, but I don't know if it's my loss of battery or what's wrong with my pc now.  I have described my problem in the Microsoft community forum but have had little response that was not helpful. I was told to go to the command prompt and put in DISM: scan now (which also contained letters more than that, but I do not remember all). I followed the instructions and for 2 days, my pc seems to do better. Then he returned to this problem again.   Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forum.  What you can do at this point that there are several updates released by microsoft and hardware vendors is running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.

  If this fails to solve the problem.  The only option will be to restore the operating system to the previous, until HP gets the drivers so that they can release them on the support page for your laptop for Windows 10.

  Restore point:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

  1. a System Restore to before the updates:

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

  If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.

  If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

  Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

  System restore steps according to the info above.

  As the title suggests, after the upgrade of the x 230 to windows 8.1 that my webcam is not working properly. Any program that tries to use he sees just a camera with an x on it. The webcam led is on, but I can't get a picture.

  I was able to solve the problem. Basically for anyone who has similar issues after upgrade to 8.1 Windows follow these steps:

  1.) press Fn + F6

  You open your settings for camera and microphone in the modern user interface. You should raise a pop asking you if you will allow an update of the parameters.

  2.) click on Yes, then when the file is finished downloading run it.

  3.) after that installation, you will need to restart.

  4.) after restart press Fn + F6 and click on the setting of the device. Uncheck private and your device will work once more.

  I must say that I really like the way lenovo has implemented these settings under Windows 8. Very smooth and well done.

  My only complaint is the Update Wizard could have easily scored it as a necessary upgrade and do it without having me to watch autour.
