Hi Juanjo, when you create a VI of PDA that calls a DLL, you must include the .c or .lib file that corresponds to the DLL. Perform the following steps to include the .c or .lib file. Select tools» build for PDA. The generate the PDA Application dialog. In the VIs list box, add the VI, any subVIs and the .lib file. If so, be sure to select the version of the .lib file that corresponds to the processor of your PDA device. Enter a path in the Destination Directory field, or leave the field empty to create the PDA VI in the same directory as the first level VI. Click the OK button. LabVIEW generates the PDA VI, a .prc file or the .exe file in the destination directory. On Pocket PC, when you download a PDA VI, calling a DLL to the PDA device, you must also download the DLL file for the PDA device. Follow these steps to download the DLL file on the device. "Select use ' Download Application. In the file dialog box that appears, select the DLL file. Click the OK button. LabVIEW download the DLL into the PDA device. • Monitor changes in the value of a variable in a module of code labview TestStand?

    Hi all

A code in Labview module called from an action step has a particular variable that changes its value when running vi. Is it possible to monitor these changes through for example a local variable in TestStand and display different values on UI in real time via UIMessages?

    Thank you very much!

You must post a UIMessage during execution of your VI.  As the following picture below, you can ignore the SequenceErrorMessage string and use the value of your variable as the numericDataParam.   I guess the trick is to determine where to display the user interface of Message, in your case, the variable updated at certain times or it he constantly updated?  I'm not sure of the performance LAG if at all times you post a UIMessage say every 100ms.

On the other end, you will need in your interface user create a reminder of the Interface to manage the UIMessage.  See the following link for more details.

  • Error code LabVIEW-63040 sbRIO 9632

    Hello.

I am trying to run the VI roaming on my kit NI Robotics Platform 2.0 and it gives me the error-63040 which is a communication error. This is not the first time I try to run homelessness, as I've been able to do it before with success (on another computer), but now it gives me this error. I looked around different ways to solve this problem, verify that it is the IP, making sure that the PC and the robot are on the same network and even formatting sbRIO Council and reinstallling software, but nothing seems to work. I can't find another way online to fix it.

The code seems to compile right but then the robot does not move. In the picture attached, I have highlighted the process so that you guys can see what I'm talking about.

Any help on this would be appreciated!

  • Run the Code Labview program on VN8970 vector material

I would like to ask if anyone has ever tried to run the Labview Code on the material vector in Standaone Mode,

The VN8970 have a PC as material and I would use as my hardware target.

Labview programming would go toward, creating / establishing a controller which output is POSSIBLE only.

Necessary sensor data is on the BUS CAN even output going to the CAN-BUS network.

The vector hardware box 8970 should run with the Labview code inside and be just like a car engine controller, just a BOX knot...

Can anyone shade some light on this topic because it is very difficult to collect all the required bits.

Vector support won't help with that because that intends it to sell their own software, which does not fit this need.

Far as I can tell the VN8970 has an ATOM processor or a core-i7 on board and running something called vector CANoeRT.

    From the VN89xx Manual:

"The family of interface VN8900 offers a stand-alone mode that allows you to measure without any other PC user.

To this end that a request can be configured in the canoe, which is then written to the NVM of the VN8900. After a reboot, the configura-tion is loaded and the measure began independently. »

Canoe uses a programming language called CAPL. My understanding is that the code of the CAPL is downloaded on the series VN89xx materials and run directly on the device without the need to be connected to a PC.

In other words, I don't think there is a way to get a LabVIEW code to run on a VN8970.

The vxlapi.dll that is used here is intended to be used on a Windows operating system. You can use it to control the VN8970 similar to the other vector material, but not in standalone mode.   I don't know what OS runs on the material of VN89xx but I doubt you'd be able to install a LabVIEW run-time engine on it.

I think your only option to run a VN8970 in stand-alone mode is to buy a canoe license that allows you to do and learn how to write the CAPL.

  • Cable RTSI with PCI 6034 and 6602. Test validation of LabVIEW code.

    Hi all

Please could someone take a look at my code (LabVIEW 8.5) and tell me if it does what I hope it is? (!)

    My goal:

To connect to analog to a PCI-6034 and data of angular encoder to a PCI-6602 tensions. I want my tension and angle data to synchronize.

    My approach:

Both cards are connected with a RTSI cable and configured in MAX. One of the counters on the 6602 is set up like a clock. I think I use this clock to make sure that my angles and tensions are synchronized. I want to read in a load of data from two sources, treat it, and repeat.

The synchronization set is a little new to me - the code execution, but right now, I'm not sure if I get the sychronisation I need. Please what could someone comment if this sounds right or give me any advice for the improvement?

    Thank you!

    Ian

    Sorry Ian,

This code was a bit thrown together then you might need to forget it. The table of construction was incorrect, and I don't quite know how it got there.

The output of the counter in the middle of your task is not doing anything. You can remove this, and as long as you had a single start task depends on the other that you already do and share all the same settings of the clock, which should start the task at the same time and keep it synchronized to readings.

On top of that my tip for better start synchronization would be to use a hardware trigger to start tasks. the start is so dependent on a hardware clock and not software.

  • Under .dll call of Mobile 6 PDA

    Hello

I wish I could call a .dll in a SW developed on LabVIEW PDA and I have a problem with regard to the opening of This that me is provided by United Nations levels.

FYI, I know that it is possible to make such an action (what we already inside of this application) but I want to know it is the necessary details about building the DLL.

Indeed, should activate parameters specific to the level of the compiler (or other)?

Pour info: the dll that does not work is generated Microsoft Visual C++ 4.0 integrated on an ARMv4 target (the PDA is ARMv5 TE normally backwards compatible)

PS: question subsidiary-online is it possible under LabVIEW PDA call an EXE? (IE like what you can do in windows via the call to the command line).

    Thank you.

    Hello

Calling external code (.exe or .dll) since a VI LabVIEW PDA is not as simple as for a classic VI.

The two following privileges (and privileges which are mentioned) should be helpful to you:

  • PDA, USB (Solar Express Card CF) host

Not sure of the interest.  But I tried the new Solar Express Compact Flash USB host card (currently in an IPAQ 210 PDA running WinMobile 6).

It worked like a charm with LabView PDA DAQbase code example and NI USB-6009 case.

I really bought this for use in an accommodation not USB - PDA and will try in an Axim X50v.

For the record the IPAQ 210 has a built-in feature, USB Host but initially good cables were not available, these are now available and the USB-6009 case work with them.  Unfortunately, I could only to work if the route cables through a USB-mini first hub.  This is not necessary with the card see

In the CF and the native IPAQ USB accommodation, no additional power supply is required to run the 6009, although I still have to check the battery consumption.  The solar Express card comes with a cable USB Y-joint, which allows the additional power supply accessory on USB.  The card CF itself, I think, is limited to 200 my draw.

See below links for the solar Express product.

I think it works well for the price of $85.  And seems to work with many older PDA, which is good for the fans and those who, like me, with the 'old' unused who hang out.

If this is the case, can anyone introduce a single study of case or something similar to this?

I don't think it's possible for anyone outside of OR. LabVIEW Real-time supports this time only Windows as host and as a target only material of National Instruments with specifically targeted OSes or the Pharlap ETS system on x 86 systems with hardware specific enough. Using RTAI as target OS for LabVIEW Real-time applications requires first a few changes on the time plugin real LabVIEW to support this new platform.

None of the files in time real LabVIEW also created for either platforms OR running VxWorks or OS Pharlap, Pharlap ETS system woud be able to be deployed to a system RTAI, because they are not compatible. In the first place, you'd have to port the bunch of shared libraries that make up the time target real system running LabVIEW on one of these goals to your RTAI system which is in fact a whole new platform of LabVIEW you can create with a little effort from the LabVIEW source code. It's not really impossible for OR as most of the code LabVIEW is written platform completely independently, but it would be a combination of the parameters compilation for course LabVIEW Real-time, with the settings to produce time targets real LabVIEW VxWorks with some additional settings of Linux. Yet, it would be by far not trivial and some parts are actually hardware specific drivers that must be worn too and limit the possibilities of what RTAI material could serve even further. In short not something that would make any commercial sense NC because they invest a lot of resources with no opportunity to sell additional hardware.

And hell freezes over up front release of NI LabVIEW source code in any form which gives access not - OR used to it!

  • Arduino + LabVIEW

Hi, I become a fan for LabView... only for a few days, and began to do a project using Arduino.

I would like to take temperature sensor (LM35) data and show grafically on labview. (Of course the serial communications is used). I went by the examples given in the LabView8.5 but I'm not able to grasp the thing, I'm able to select name (com22) resources and everything, but if I click on reading, nothing is displayed. Before you run the simulation I'm uploading the sketch for transmiting temperature continuousely to analog pin 0 IE. for the series transmission, any body can help?

I did exactly the same thing as here education project at the University of Toronto. I designed a shield which uses an LM35. I added a few signals conditioning circuits and used 0 analog. I wrote a sketch to convert ASCII text reading and send it on the USB port.

I already posted my code LabVIEW to acquire and display data from the Arduino. Take a look at this thread:
