All my incoming fax used to be sent to my email address, now no more? Can U help please?

Stannie

Hi Stannie,

The following assumes that you have installed full feature software AND that the software is fully functional.

Excerpt from Page 50 of the User Guide:

Set up the scan to E-mail

You can use the printer to scan documents and send them to one or more email address
addresses as attachments, without additional scanning software. You don't need to
analyze the files on your computer and attach them to e-mail messages.

NOTE: If you use the HP Officejet Pro 8500 a (A910a-f), you can only use
Scan to network and Fax folder in network folder. To find your model number,
See the printer model number.

To use the e-mail scanning feature, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Define the profiles of outgoing e-mail

Configure the e-mail address that will appear in the FROM part of the e-mail
message sent by the printer. You can add up to 10 profiles of outgoing e-mail. You can
Use the HP software installed on your computer to create these profiles.

Step 2: Add e-mail addresses to the e-mail address book

Manage the list of people to whom you can send e-mail messages to the printer.
You can add up to 5 e-mail addresses or groups of messaging, as well as their correspondents
contact names. To add e-mail addresses, you must use built-in Web printer
Server (EWS).

Step 3: Configure other e-mail options

You can configure the SUBJECT and body text by default which is included in all e-mail messages
messages sent from the printer. To configure these options, you must use the printer
EWS.

Step 1: Configure outgoing e-mail profiles

To configure outgoing e-mail used by the printer profile, follow these steps
your operating system.

Windows
1. open the HP printing software. For more information, see software HP printer
(Windows).

2. double-click on shares of Scanner and then double-click Scan to e-mail Assistant...

3. click on new and then follow the instructions on the screen.

=======================================================================

EWS designates the embedded - Web server read about it in your user's Guide.

It is a Web page interface, that you can use to control and interact with the installation program and the features of your printer.

You can open the built-in Web server in your favorite browser:

  • Open the browser at a blank tab / print this page
  • Enter the IP address of the printer such as the address of the Web page.

for example

Enter 192.168.1.16

and the browser will open the Web page for your printer at http://192.168.1.16/

Don't forget, the address IP of YOUR printer will be different.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 more Coexistence of USB and WiFi connection

My printer was working with a direct link to my computer. Since I wanted to print from other devices using Wifi. I activated the WiFi and computer printing stopped.

    These two connections can coexit?

How can I fix this now?

Hi there dbspecial, I hope you are well

I saw your post about wanting to use a wireless and USB at the same time with your Officejet 8500 connection has more. Yes, you can have these two connections at the same time, you will just need to have both installed on your computer and select the correct driver when you print. However, you are not able to have an ethernet connection at the same time and wireless.

If you don't have the wireless configuration or the installed USB Installer, run the installation or the HP print and Scan Doctor if you happen to be running Windows.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g do not receive the correct IP address of the DHCP server

    Hello

We have reconfigured our network to use 172.16.11.xxxx

We have assigned our OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909g printers IP addresses by using DHCP reservations.

After joining the wireless network, all our printers have an address of 169.254.xxxx.xxx.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you

    Christophe

DHCP is still active on your router?  The printer must have active DHCP.

169.254.x.x means the printer sees the router, but does not have a valid IP address to him.

  • HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z how can I send faxes received

I have a HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z set up like the wireless. I want to have all incoming faxes saved directly to my PC and not be printed. I can't find all the information on how to do it. There may be information on the DVD that comes with it, but I can't.

I'm not bad with PC or printer/fax, so guidelines are expected to be fairly easy to follow.

  • Received fax from delivery by email to:

Hi, I am transmitting all my faxes received to my email address. I put windows fax and scan to automatically send delivery receipts and include the fax as an attachment. I use windows live mail as my e-mail program.

I can send the fax as an e-mail from the fax, but it does not automatically

Anyone can shed some light on this?
    Thank you, ken

The ability to automatically fax and scan is not available.  It must be done manually.

There are 3rd party software programs that provide this feature which I found the following. http://www.freevistafiles.com/fax-tools/ They have not all do and most are shareware (which means that they cost money), but if you check and you are ready to pay, you might find what you need.  You use 3rd party software at your own risk - I do not know how he will interact with Vista or Fax and scanning software already installed.  It can work correctly, or it can cause a lot of problems, or even delete some files to make certain functions work correctly (no doubt the fax and scan function and/or your e-mail address).  The decision is yours.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Want to b/w standard printing only - HP Officejet Pro 8500 Plus.

    Only - want b & w HP Officejet Pro 8500 more.

I wonder how to enable this machine to use the black and white ALWAYS mm cartridge.

I heard that the printer can use color cartridges even if I print in black only. I want to save color to photo print cartridges only.

How can I ensure this? I can't find all the settings in the printer display saying "use black and white printing.

And if there is a setting somewere therefor; which "desides" setting - if I have after setting b/w printing standard, chosen color in print for a photo windows? I need never color printing except if I print a photo.

I also wonder if there is a way around the situation when a color is empty, and print black and white ends...! ?

    Help appreciated!

    You ask the most difficult

It depends on what you are printing. I don't think that any printer uses much (if any) color with shades of gray.

However, if tell you him to use black and white only (generally an option after clicking on the checkbox in grayscale), it will not print anything but black. The bad thing about this is that sometimes you can lose part of what you print if there are photos or font color in what you want to print. Anything that is not considered by the application as a true black could not appear in print.

It could work well, if you're careful, but you may sometimes have something missing in the printout.

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500 PLUS - STRIPED VERTICAL PICTURE PRINTABLE

I have this great new brand HP PRO 8500 MORE machines - have figured out all that day - except these vertical color stripes in photo printing.

Windows 7 update. Standard print settings: 'Use Black only' in print to save color ink settings.

    I did:

    -----------------------

Printed a picture of windows - 10 x 15 cm on HP PHOTO PAPER GLOSSY - Q1991A product.

Result: Great picture but a few vertical colored stripes.

Printed another image of the USB - to use passport photo - has used the display option for this in the machine for this purpose.

Result: Image with colored stripes - as the first result.

I cleaned the heads with the HP Wizard twice and used the function of alignment of line several times. The result is almost worse.

The tool "Print quality" was conducted on paper, not brilliant.

That said, it is that the problem can not have something to do with windows, the driver settings since the result is the same when you print from USB. Neither paper printing since the problem shows on the staff.

I'm I right? It of an unanswerable question with this printer, or should I launch an application where I bought it?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 Premium will not send fax from computer with Windows 8

My printer was working fine on Win XP and I could fax directly from the printer or the computer.  I installed 8 32-bit Windows (I am under an older system that works very well for everything that I use it for - thank you very much) and downloaded the latest driver for HP large & software for Win 8 32-bit.  Everything works perfectly, except for the computer fax.

If I run the test of the printer fax, the fax test PASSES.  If I run the test fax from the computer, the fax test PASSES.

If I put documents into the feeder of the printer and use the features of fax printer, it Fax beautifully.

It's only when I fax from the computer, the screen appears with the status of the queue, then state turns to cancelled each time.

He has always worked on Win XP.

The FAX and FAX printer driver for the printer-FAX appeared in Control Panel automatically when I installed the HP drivers/software update.  All the properties of the FAX printer seem good.

I tried a usb connection and a connection of network ethernet, with the same results.

Printing and scanning all work fine.  I really like this printer and I love it even more if I could figure out how to get by fax a document from the computer.

When I say fax from the computer, I mean opening a document saying print, select Fax - HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910, filling the page of information by fax, selecting my cover page options and press send fax.  Everything like I used to do it before I upgraded to Win 8.  When I hit send fax, it is when I get the popup that fax is in queue, then it goes to cancelled.  No error codes are displayed, no clue as to why, no nothing.  If I print the document and put it in the printer tray I can using display printer fax without problem.

    Very weird.

Well, I spoke with some of the engineers, and they suggested next steps. First of all, here's a thread on a forum of MS on the removal of an alternate driver.

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730875.aspx

Another thing to note is that in Win8, you can easily access the command prompt by pressing the windows key and typing "command prompt".

In addition, I will PM you walk a few others on the removal of the remains of the software from the back-end of your PC. To be sure, you will need TO follow these instructions to the letter.

Do these two things and let me know what happens after the installation of the printer again since the direct download link I already provided above.

Let me know and have a great day!
