If the update number is KB3097877, then reinstall the update KB should solve the problem. However, as you can not reach your office, I would first run auto repair with installation media and see if it helps you repair system files or not. For the execution of the task, I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps.
Method 1
When you use the recovery environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot startup issues, first try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box. If this does not resolve the problem, or if you have additional problems manually, use the Bootrec.exe tool.
Because you cannot start the computer, you may need to create a bootable Windows installation media, and then do an auto repair, and if this does not help then you try to restore your computer to the previous date.
Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

- Press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
- Click repair your computer.

- Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update
Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).
Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.
Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."
Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

Monitor flashes after the last update of Windows
I use a newer computer that already had Windows 7 pre-installed. After the last update my monitor started flashing. It didn't happen in Mode safe and I could not diagnose any systemic changes that can occur. He also doesn't seem to be a problem with the refresh rate.

After the last update CC, I have a big problem. There is a problem of sound reproduction of the AE through the Media Encoder. When I export directly from AE everthing is fine but when I send the export files via dynamic links to the Media Encoder I get wrong its encoded at the last second of the clip. Curiosly there is a part of the track to another point on the same track in there. There is a sharp break and then in the last second you can hear just a random sound fragment (in this case a femal voice). It's hard to describe. Like many I noticed it any project, how often or which format settings... it's always the result. We are doing on the production of air... I need to solve this urgent problem.

WiFi connection issue after the last update of Windows
After that the last Window XP updated, I faced a problem connecting wifi internet.
I (and others I know) get the question when trying to connect to the wifi. One of my friends has windows 7 and had the same problem. Personally, I have two laptops (Thinkpad T43 and T60), the T43 has only been affected. I did a lot of tests (tests of ipconfig, ping, etc.) and found what could be the problem.
I found that I was not able to conect to my router. I changed my wifi to no (no wep or wpa key) security configuration. At that time, I was able to connect to the internet. I changed my wireless security to WEP key with special characters again and wasn't able to reach my router connection. However, when I changed my WEP key of only alphanumeric characters that has worked. With the WPA key, I am not able to connect to my wifi.
My laptop is an old but a friend to me as a new brand.
I have the feeling that there could be a conflict with some brands of wireless cards. I have an Intel Pro 2200BG in the T43 a different in the T60. In my tests, I used the same configurations as my other laptop which doesn't have any problem. I used the same radio channel and values. I would like to get the thoughts of an expert to properly solve the problem

With 2 other people with the same problem (one called me an hour ago!) after the last window xp SP3 update and glancing again Ipconfig. I found that the tcp/ip seem to have been corrupted by the update. Then, I applied the following command at the command prompt: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt , and then restart the computer.
This time, the command ipconfig showed information that makes sense! And three laptops with windows XP pro SP3 were able to successfully connect to any Protocol (wpa, wpa2, wep).
I conclude this post by saying that, probably one of the last update of security for windows XP corrupted the TCP/IP Protocol and we had to reset correctly to solve the problem.

If you are able to find the update,
Then, open programs and features in Control Panel
Uninstall the updates that have been installed on June 9, 2009.If this is not the case, make a System Restore.

My office has recently installed a few days ago most recent Windows automatic updates. I have never had any problem with them until once they have been installed. Legrand, I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy too. I tried everything and finally understood the November 25 or 26 update messed up my AVG anti-virus. I deleted via the control panel and did not have a freeze since! I hope you are using AVG, cause if you are, it's probably your answer too. I'll check back here soon to see if this helped you.
