  • Problems during startup and disc.sys blue screen

I got hard to start that a 32-bit Vista computer does not move in front of the black screen, sometimes there is a blinking underscore, or the mobile mouse pointer. Usually I restart with ctrl-alt-del and it works, it takes sometimes a few tries.

It also seems to start normally when I go out in the inside installation disc, when he's not here it hangs in checking dmi pool Data given, when he asked me to "press any key" If there is a disc inside.

This happens only when the CD player is first in the boot order, so I change to hard first push which does not start again.

    If someone has encountered this?

If I get to the connection, everything works very well afterwards.

I was going to repair the installation disc, but it's moving before the Microsoft corporation at startup loading bar.

Then, I got a blue screen PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA with Codes and * disk.sys with address

I tried CHKDSK and last good known Configuration, but nothing helped.

In addition, it was after I reinstalled from the cd of installation about five days ago everything worked as well the first two days... the only problems I had were with the installation of updates, after I finally installed successfully, it's when, startup problems began.

    Any experience or advice appreciated!

  • Problem at startup with Vista - hang at crcdisk.sys - green bar still there

    Hello

I have a big problem and I'm not able to find a problem.

My laptop (Lifebook, Fujitsu A6200) always hang at startup when the green bar with the windows logo is moving (I restarted after 3 hours).

When I starts in Mode safe, it hangs on CRCDISK. SYS. I left it run for 2 hours and it restarted somewhere in this period.

I tried the Drivers and applications of restore disc that came with my laptop and it never found problems. I ran the startup of more than 8 hours repair and the balance sheet was not finished.

I plugged my hard drive on another PC so I can access my data correctly, it is not a hard drive problem.

I have not installed any application or any new hardware in the weeks before the problem appeared with the exception of the automatic updates of Windows. I don't think that the problem is a hardware problem.

If possible, I don't want to reinstall windows.

    Thanks for your help!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Step 2: Use system recovery tools to fix the problem, to access system recovery tools. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

How to access the System Recovery Options menu?

    See also the link below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-system-repairs-from-the-Windows-recovery-environment-from-Windows-Vista-inside-out

    (a) System Restore: put the computer to an earlier point in time when the computer was working fine.

    (b) order to access Windows Recovery: run the disk check to repair bad sectors on the hard disk.

At the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

Now, type chkdsk /r , and then press ENTER.

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

    (c) run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool

  • BIG problem - the startup information is missing

Hi, I tried to install windows vista on my computer and I don't have time. Currently, my C drive is fully formatted, I have no OS and cannot start all discs, I get bootmgr is missing error.

By pressing F2, F11 or F8 does not work because I still got the message "bootmgr is missing".

Is it possible to get at least the computer so I can try to fix it?

    ·       Do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not resolve the problem, try the following:

To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps: (you need an Installation of Vista disc to do that)

    1. put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    2. press a key when you are prompted.

    3. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then clickNext.

    4. click onrepair your computer.

    5. click on the operating system that you want to repair, and then clickNext.

    6. in theSystem Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.

    7 TypeBootrec.exe and press ENTER.

Note If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup problem, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. In doing so, you ensure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the command prompt Windows RE:

    ·       bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup

    ·       c:

    ·       Boot CD

    ·       BCD attrib s h - r

    ·       Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old

    Bootrec /RebuildBcd

If you do not have the disk, try EasyBCDhttp://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and see if that helps the problem.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • Problem at startup error: [.] ShellClassInfo] LocalizedResourceName=@%Systemroot%system32 shell32.dll - 21787

    Original title: problem when starting

Hello. Whenever I connect to my laptop, a notebook always appear in the office showing a message-

    [. ShellClassInfo]

    Shell32.dll LocalizedResourceName=@%Systemroot%system32-21787

What does that mean? I'll do my laptop freeze. I can not even access the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete.

I restart the laptop but the message still appears, and then it will freeze again. I can't use my laptop because it's only 3 - months old.

Someone can help me. Please, I beg you. Surely, I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query to the Microsoft forum. I will definitely help you with this.

This problem may occur if the following conditions are met:

    • A Desktop.ini file exists in one or more of the following folders, where drive is the drive on which Windows is installed:

      • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Menu\Programs\Startup
      • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu run\programs
      • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users Menu

Method 1: Delete the Desktop.ini file

    1. Start Windows Explorer.
    2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the view tab.
    3. In the area of Advanced settings , click on to disable the Hide extensions for known file types check box and the check box that Hide protected operating system files (if they are not already turned off), and then click OK.
    4. Delete all occurrences of the Desktop.ini file that contains the lines described earlier in the "Symptoms" section of this article. To do:
      • Locate each of the following folders, right-click the Desktop.ini file, (if the file exists in that folder), and then click Open:

        • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Menu\Programs\Startup
        • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu run\programs
        • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users Menu

where drive is the drive on which Windows is installed.

      • Verify that the file contains the following lines:
        [.ShellClassInfo]
        LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

If the file contains these lines, right-click the file, click Removeand then click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the deletion.

    5. Restart your computer and verify that the problem is resolved.

Method 2: Use the (Msconfig.exe) System Configuration utility to disable the startup item

    1. Press Windows + R keyboard a type of execution.
    2. In the Open box, type msconfig, and click OK.
    3. Click the Startup tab.
    4. Clear the check box next to any Office entered into the column of the startup item that are referred to as common startup in the location column and can be found in one of the following locations (as indicated in the command column):
      • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Menu\Programs\Startup
      • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu run\programs
      • drive: \Documents and Settings\All Users Menu
    5. Click OK to quit the System Configuration utility.
    6. Restart your computer and verify that the problem is resolved.

Method 3: run Microsoft safety scanner

I suggest you to run the Microsoft safety scanner.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

Run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

    Microsoft safety scanner

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.
