Problem Dell M5010 severe graphic?

Hi everyone, I have some difficulty to find the culprit of my problem and how to fix it.

Not for long I was installing a program in my M5010 in compatibility mode, a few minutes after the installation of the screen became what looked like an old CRT TV on without entry.  I flipped the switch and rebooted, everything seemed strange fine nothing, but when I stopped him normal again once he did it since then.

Since then, I tried several things. First I tried to re install the OS, nothing.  Then I tried booting without hard disk, always the same screen.  Also, I jumped the CMOS battery to see if that would reset the BIOS to the factory, but there is nothing, it seems to be stored in a non-volatile chip.  I also tried an external monitor, not always the same problem. After that, I searched and found that if a laptop overheating in some measure the graphics chip can become welded causing my symptoms, so I checked that, no, it was fine. My initial suspicion was a graphics driver in the motherboard doesn't work does not, and now, I am led to think something on this line is the problem because the problem is in the BIOS for, not only the operating system.

I don't know is it common for this problem, but if anyone has any ideas what the problem and any information on how to solve this I would appreciate it a lot.   I have an external USB HDD cable, so I could connect an external HHD to the M5010, or take the M5010 HARD drive and connect it to another computer to put pilots in.   Thanks in advance and let me know what can be ideas.

Oh yes, I met one of my computer science professors and we looked on it, and both knew how to fix, he agreed that it was in the motherboard (somewhere).

Since you have nothing to lose, you can try the heat treatment of the card mother - remove the Board from the system and remove all removable parts (including the CMOS battery).  Insert the motherboard on a non-conductive ceramic stove and finally in an oven at 350 F for about ten minutes.  The Council can cool completely and install it in the system - it can buy you some time before, he fails again.

This problem occurred because your graphics card does not support the required version of DirectX. This version of Windows requires a DirectX 9.0 compatible video card or newer.  can someone tell me what I should do next?

You left out which version of DirectX has been shown.

As far as I know, your Intel 945GM should support DirectX 9 and because you have XP sp3, you must have at least DirectX 9 installed.

I met the following, but it shouldn't apply to Powerpoint:

Some such as the Intel 945 GM Intel video cards have a design limitation which may cause problems when you try to run the Source Engine games. 3D graphics kernel does not support transformation of material, light and the vertex shader to similar technologies, which is an important part of the pipeline of 3D acceleration. Instead, this functionality is emulated in software that can reduce the compatibility and performance with 3D games.

I don't have a solution for you (assuming that DXDIAG, in fact, reports to have DirectX 9 or higher).  You can see if you install a new driver support, but if it were me, I would be first contact Acer technical support or ask your question in another forum as one of the following conditions:

    Intel graphics Forum: http://communities.intel.com/community/tech/graphics
Forum PowerPoint: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/powerpoint (select the corresponding forum for your version of Powerpoint).  Include the results of DxDiag, including the version of DirectX.  If there is something unusual about the image that causes the crash, include this info as well.

Normally, for notebook/laptop computer, it is better to get the drivers of the mfr of computer rather than the manufacturer of the device.

    Hello Lewie,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

    1. What is brand and model your computer?
    2. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?

I understand that you lose your screen when you play a game. This happens usually if the installed graphics driver has corrupted or unstable. Therefore, I suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

Method 1: Run the tool material and devices

Try running the next fixit and check whether the problem is resolved.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/hardware_device_problems/en-us

Method 2: Update your graphics card

1 open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and Security, and then, under System, click the Managerof peripheral . If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. in the list of hardware categories, find the display adapters and select the device driver you want to update, and then double-click the device name.

    3. Click tab driver , click Update driver, and then follow the instructions. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

For more information, visit the below mentioned link:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

If you are not able to update the device driver via windows update, you can visit your computer or graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA) Web site and download & install the latest driver. Or contact the manufacturer of your system to do.

For reference, you can also consult the following Web page. Click on continue to this site Web (not recommended) if you are prompted for any error of certification.

  • Problem with Standard VGA graphics card

    Hello everyone!

I have problem with Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.

State of the device: this device cannot start (code 10)

    My specs are:

    AMD Radeon HD 6470M

    Intel Core i3 - 3110 M CPU @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz

RAM: 4.00 GB (2.41 GB usable)

Type of system: operating system Windows 7 32-bit

Can someone help me with this problem! I can't start my games!

    Please, I beg you! Everyone!

    Hello:

When you see the label adapter VGA Standard, this means that the graphics driver is not installed or improperly installed.

Go to the page of the driver and support for your laptop and install the graphics driver from AMD W7 32 bit.

  • The upgrade of several graphics cards?

I'm interested the upgrade of my d5200t (and perhaps my SR5125CL) to several graphics cards in order to run BOINC projects that can use graphics cards (for example, GPUGRID) better.

So far, I have found that:

    1. my computer room can not consume much more energy and stay at a comfortable temperature.

2 GT240 and GTX275 boards have been recommended as the most profitable for the GPUGRID program I want to run.  Motherboards based on the ATI (probably HD58xx series or higher only) may eventually become usable, but not before some time after AMD/ATI releases the next updates of their OpenCL compiler.

    3. two GT240 boards instead of the 9800GT card I would be now about dual GPU computing without current power significantly more power.  How many of these cards motherboards will hold?

Where can I buy the appropriate cards online, with an installation service?

It's your motherboard.  It has only a 1 PCI - E x 16 slot for a video card.  Also watch the video chart area for restrictions.  Your PC specifications indicate that your PC has a 460 watt power supply which is good but not big enough for larger video cards.  The GTX 260 and above all probably need one more great power will provide.

Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

Your PC local repair shop and manage a video card and power supply installation. You can get a quote before you buy a video card.

www.Newegg.com has a lot of video cards.

  • Dell Studio 1558, graphics card ATI display driver stopped responding and has recovered. How to solve this problem?

I had this problem for about 8 months now (see the title). I have updated the driver through the Windows Device Manager and have checked for driver updates it and Windows responds saying that the driver is up-to-date. I have no guarantee more that it has expired and I have no funds for their technical support (Dells). Any advice would be much appreciated. This PC has not had this problem for about 2 months, up to the last round of Windows updates on all the 15/08/14. Also, for about 1 year, Chess Titans 'freaks out' and 'unresponsive', says at the top page.

    Hello James,.

  • Graphic problem Dell Inspiron

I have dell inspiron 17r 5721 i7-3517u 8 GB 1 TB Radeon hd8730m. Windows 7 Ultimate (first of all, I had 8 Win but I hate it like hell, so I send it there where it belongs - hell).

Can anyone tell me is there a way to tell when my games using Radeon HD 8730 M instead of the Intel HD Graphics 4000? Because each game I played, the value of the graphics settings WAY TOO LOW for Radeon cards. For example the Sims 3 (not to mention it crashes without reason, whenever I play, it is not out of place I think that in this case). For example: resolution 1024 x 768 instead of 1600 x 900? Oh come on.

Or how to PROPERLY use CCC and Intel graphic Panel so they would work together just as they should? I put but high performance for each game... I do not work. : /

Then remember that I can use only drivers from dell support. I could not install new to (because I see dell support drivers are not the newest) site Web of AMD and Intel without problems as constant flashing screen, or simply because during the installation error has occurred and it has stopped working.

HI, I had the same problem but I solved it...

REALLY EASY!  (after 6 months: P)

    1. update the video drivers from the Dell (all VIDEO PILOTS) website

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/UK/en/ukdhs1/ServiceTag/?s=BSD& ~ CK = mn

2, install this the site of AMD ATI driver. (AMD CATALYST CONTROL CENTER)

    http://sites.AMD.com/us/Microsoft/Windows-8/pages/Radeon-Windows-8.aspx

When you configure this new driver you get a new software with that tha name is:

AMD game evolved... .use this program because this program to find your games on your PC and if you will be launched this program, games games will use a video automaticly ATI card... If you couldt see some of the games in that you have installed, you could find and add manually...   (link to image 2.)

(you can together optimise settings "grapichs" with some games, and you can't some other games, but don't worry... ALL the GAMES you want started from this program work)

  • Equium A60 - problems of severe graphics

I own a ' Equium A60-156 532 P4 / XP HE/256 MB / 40 GB/15TFT/DVD SuperMulti ' which I've updated with 512 MB of ram, so now it has 640 MB of Ram for system with 128 MB for graphics.

My problem is, even if it meets the requirements of apparent minimum configuration for various games (such as "Fable: The Lost Chapters"), it does not correctly display in the game. The grass is white, yellow water, unreadable text, etc etc...

I don't like the graphs such as shading and ripples in the water, I just like it so my laptop actually displays the right colors during a game!

I tried the latest driver from the Web from Toshiba, the Windows Update site AND even sought the drivers on the ATI site with no luck.

My laptop is doomed to be the trash and not play games or is there soemthing I can do?

    Hey Joe,

Unfortunately drivers grpahics for your laptop has been deliberately out of engineering to prevent the graphics chip to produce too much heat.

As you probably know, the graphics chip is integrated on your motherboard in order to reduce the space and there is no separate cooling. Graphics drivers are tailored to remove those aspects of the functionality of the chip which would tend to produce too much heat.

It is generally true that the latest games tend to use features that were omitted in the drivers from your laptop.

Unfortunately, there are no eassy solution to this problem as pilots of the last chip manufacturer won't load properly on your laptop without changing.

I suggest that you try the latest drivers for your graphics chip of http://www.omegadrivers.net/, but beware your graphics chip to overheat as this can cause the pertubation requiring a new mainboard.

    Kind regards

    Best regards, John

With an older system like the 3000, you will only be able to use the old PCI interface for a video card.  These cards are more expensive and there is no reason to spend too much on an upgrade when dealing with older systems like that. Popular cards have been the 6200 Nvidia 8400 GS or the best 9400 GT.  Do not forget only the PCI interface.  No AGP or PCI Express.

I'm not sure what your goal is the upgrade, but don't expect too much.  I know that people have upgraded to these cards to play games like the Sims.  Your system is just old with old parties slow and he can't move much faster with a video card.  You have 3 PCI slots on the motherboard.  Put the card into the top slot of most and move all other cards down lower if installed.  You should probably disable your chart integrated through your device manager before installing a video card for it to work and make sure that the first video is correct in the bios.
