Problem: EA 4500 do not connect one device

Hello

I just bought a Linksys EA 4500.

I configured the wifi properly, with laptops, tablets, smartphones and printer. The WiFi worked fine for a few days.

But now one of the laptop 'refuses' to see the Linksys wifi network. Other devices are always connected and running regularly.

The laptop which does not connect is an ACER 5740 DG with an Atheros network card and installed Windows 7. This laptop works well otherwise.

At first, it connected ok and never had any problems at all with the previous router Belkin_N + _7991AC, I changed just for speed.

Now the Linksys network is simply not visible for such portable in the 'list available connections' I get by clicking on the WiFi icon at the bottom right, while several other networks wifi (not mine) are clearly visible. Of course, I restarted the laptop properly. For once I had the visibility of the Linksys, I entered the password and then it was not possible to see the network more.

No Smart WiFi software error message.

Very unpleasant. Before returning the product to the dealer, I would like to know if there is no solution.

Thanks and rgds

Pietro

I think that since a single computer has stopped working. You can try to change the channel of your router wireless... You can use Channel 9 for network 2.4 Ghz... If that is unsuccessful, check the date of the driver of the laptop; s wireless card coz I think there need updated driver as well... and you can get the latest driver for NIC Ather @ http://www.atheros.cz/

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

There is lots of useful information to the Web site of your printer.  In addition, the most important thing you can do is to install the full features software for your printer.  The installation process should help you with the login process.

General instructions to install the printer software

    • Open drivers HP & downloads
    • Enter your printer model information
    • Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.

    OR

    • Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down
    • Click NEXT and scroll down
    • Find the category driver - software product installation
    • Select the base driver, e-print, or a full features software
    • Save the *.exe installation package (s) on your computer

The files will probably save in the "folder"downloads. "

If it is available, you can download print and scan doctor and / or other programs of the category-utilities

    TIP:

Install the utilities / tools first. bit installation packages are smaller in size

    • If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click" to install it, otherwise just right-click, select run as administrator and install.

    NOTES:

    •         Look at the bottom half of the main Web page for your printer for helpful videos help with the installation of the printer software!
    •         Scroll through the list of videos back until you find the video that best fits your situation.
    • Connection USB: download and install the driver software before connecting a USB cable.
    • Ethernet: connect the printer to the network and (optional) assign the printer IP address to the router. Once the printer is connected to the network, make sure that the printer is on, and then install the printer software.

  • 12.3.3.17 iTunes could not connect to devices AirPlay (Airport Express)

After the update to iTunes 12.3.3.17 I can connect is more to Apple Airport Express.

I updated iTunes to 12.3.3.17 on both computers:

    1. Windows 7 64-bit SP1 / iTunes 12.3.3.17 64-bit

    2 Windows 10 64 - bit / iTunes 12.3.3.17 64-bit

On the Windows 10 computer, iTunes can connect and play all three Airport Express.  An iPod Touch can also flow to each of them.

After the upgrade to 12.3.3.17 on the Windows 7 SP1 computer, iTunes can see all three Airport Express and they are not greyed out.  But when an any of them are selected in the dialog of speaker, iTunes tries to connect and after 30 seconds results in the error "an error occurred when connecting to the device AirPlay"xxx". The network connection timed out' and the selection is then grayed out.

The network card on this PC, the router, and all three Airport Express everything seems to work properly as I can deliver on all of them using software third 'wing' with other applications as the source.  I can also control iTunes on the PC wirelessly from iPod with the Remote app.

I just can no longer spread to one of the Express from the airport directly from iTunes after the 12.3.3.17 update.

    Any thoughts?

Well, problem solved (mostly) by a lot of trial and error and it turns out be a problem of WF on the UDP ports must be open for Hello.  It was a bit of a surprise, because the Airfoil program (third party utility AirPlay) uses also Hello (that works).

The Windows Firewall has a rule entry of inbound traffic for Hello to port 5353 UDP.  Changing the rule to allow all Ports (UDP) does the job.  So I studied what UDP ports were actually necessary for the Hello and Airplay and amended the rule again, this time replacing all Ports with these specific UDP port numbers: 554 (1900), 5289 5298, 5350, 5351, 5353, 49159, 49163

However, that did not yet work so I ended up coming back to the all Ports configuration.

If someone uses the firewall native Windows (preferably Windows 7, but probably the same for 8 and 10), I would be interested to know what UDP ports allows your Windows Hello firewall.

Control Panel > Windows Firewall > advanced settings > inbound rules > Hello

I had certainly not changed firewall settings before this update to iTunes (and AirPlay worked just hours before) and know not why the update seems to have changed the Windows Firewall settings, but that helps to explain why the Windows 10 computer worked fine after the update, because she was using the McAfee Security Suite firewall.

    Thank you!

  • 4620 does not connect with devices

My 4620 ceased to connect to one of my devices. We have 2 MacBook, iPad and iPhone 2 5 s that all used to work. All devices are connected to my wifi network as is the 4620, but I can not print on any of them. 4620 HP Network Configuration report shows the signal strength of 5, connected to channel 8, nearest neighbour SSID channel 11.

I had intermittent problems with printing but can usually operate by closing the wifi on printer and reconnect or sometimes after he tried to connect for an hour or more, suddenly it prints.

    Help!

    Hello smfinga,

I understand your HP OfficeJet 4620 is no longer able to connect all the devices, and you are not able to print wireless. How many devices are currently connected to your router? You can have many devices connected to a router, which can be the cause of error. Let me know which operating system you are using?

I would like you to a hard reset on your wireless network, follow the steps below:

    1. unplug the router, the printer and the Mac in that order, abandon for at least 5 minutes, make sure that all devices are disconnected from your network. (Please leave all of the other devices power off to it)

    2. now, let's go and turn on the router first wait until it is running, now, turn on the JO 4620 let him completely initialized. Let's turn on the Mac.

    3. now try to print, please take note of any errors that you may encounter.

    4. If the documents are not yet print Please run HP print and Scan Doctor- designed by HP to offer users the features and troubleshooting problem needed to solve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan the products related to Windows computers.

Let me know if this solves the problem, if you are now able to print. If you still have problems of response returns with the requested information.

  • Can not connect 2 devices with creative cloud

Hi, I have a creative cloud account and have problems to connect the two devices with the same account.

Normally, I should not have questions this.

On the first device works perfectly. But when I connect from the second device (I disconnect from the first), I get only trial versions of apps, some of them has expired and I can't verify license.

'No subscription found' message. But on the applications tab, all the applications are installed.

I don't see what the problem is.

The management of accounts, I see I have two devices

You should not have to log out or if it's just two devices.  A subscription allows having two devices signed in at the same time.

  • HP Envy 4500: Could not connect to connected HP - get 'Email or invalid password'

When I try to connect to connected HP, I get "Email and password invalid".  The email and password I use works fine to Snapfish.  I tried to change the password to Snapfish, hoping that would reset the password in HP connected, but I still get the same message there.  How can I get my HP account connected?

    Thank you

This problem is finally resolved.  Eventually be reassigned to Cloud Services L2 support team.  Apparently when I converted initially more than HP ePrintCenter attached, something went wrong, which left my HP account logged in a bad state or something.  The result was that, while I was able to connect to ePrintCenter and then click HP connected, when I tried to connect to HP connected directly, I got the problems identified above.

They managed to get things fixed to the top, and now I am able to connect to HP directly connected.

    See you soon,.

  • LAN problem: Vista PC does not connect to the XP PC through a router

My setup: laptop XP SP3, laptop Vista Home premium SP1, Fritz! Box 7270 as ADSL Modem, router and gateway.

Since the Installation of the SP3 on XP laptop PC Vista can no longer access the XP PC. Vista indicates the XP Machine occasionally, but cannot connect. Error 0 x 80070035. Ping from Vista to XP translates to time limit.

XP PC can connect to the Vista PC and use all the services available.

I am a user experienced with the good network of expertise. I checked the configuration settings and tested alternative parameters. I installed KB 922120V6-x86D DTBT Protocol on the XP PC. No change in the behavior of the network.

Internet connection through the gateway works fine on both machines.

Useful tips are very much appreciated

You have probably two firewalls running on XP is the first place to check. If you have a software firewall or antivirus/security of the third party with its own firewall component, the built-in Windows Firewall should not be running and it probably is. Or are looking for a firewall neglected in the VPN software if you use it. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
