• InDesign CC: Text in editable text fields in the process of disappearance after export

  I'm having a problem of text of text editable in endangered fields after you export the document as an interactive pdf. I created the text that should be editable in acrobat with InDesign CC. Thus, for example, I want to have a field editable text that said "I am Marie." I want users to have the ability to change from "Married" to "Tom" or "Ben" in Acrobat. So the pdf should have a form of editable text, saying the phrase "I am Mary" when users open the PDF in Acrobat. However, aafter export, the remains of fields of text, but the text itself "I am Mary." disappeared. I do not understand why this is happening because the text is there when you preview in the Preview SWF window in InDesign.

  STEP 2: Click with the right button on the image and click on "Interactive > convert to text field»

  STEP 2: Select the block of text, open the window "buttons and forms" and change the type as "text field"

  
  

  STEP 3:  Export the document as an interactive pdf. The parameter is set by default.

  
  

  Result: When I open the PDF in Acrobat, the text field is there, but it is empty.

  As far as I know, to have a form pre-filled text [I am Marie] appear in the text field, you must set the default value of the text field in Acrobat. You can do this by selecting the field property > Options > Default Value

• help-problems with Mac book since the upgrade to Yosemite

  I have a 13 "Macbook, end of 2010. It is used to run perfectly until I installed Yosemite in late 2014 when he started to run slowly and Safari would crash. The problems have got worse with each update. Now when I boot, I get a white screen with a progress downstairs bar and it may take between 1-3 minutes before I get the logon screen. Programs also take a long time to load and I constantly get the rotation beach ball.  I don't have any external hardware attached and am does not have any software that needs to use a lot of RAM. I ran an EtreCheck - results below. Can someone help me understand?

  Given that I upgraded to 7.1.0 last night I can't access email on my phone accounts. Real emails are works well - I can send and receive but in the settings I cannot access the key of email accounts and so cannot change the settings. It was working fine before the upgrade.

  More worrisome, it is also a problem with my BB ID. I can connect on the phone, but trying to open an online session the user name or password is so-called bad - it is not! I have reset it via the phone to be sure, and it still does not work online. Once again, it was fine before the upgrade of the OS.

  Should I try a downgrade? And install the upgrade again? Worry about losing still more functionalty.

  Well... It seems very easy but difficult indeed however if your download speed is slow so it will take time to download the pack of the BONE, and we need Internet connection only for this part and for software download office for the rest of these steps you don't need any internet conncetion.

  However if you can download the pack of operating system that you have desired in the place where you have a desent download speed so you can try this method whenever you are free or have the time!

  Updated my computer to Windows 7 and use an Okidata ML 421 to print cheques.  The printer is properly configured for continious feed controls to 8.5 "in 7", but it's still feeding paper to 11 ".  Any ideas.  All settings are given in 7 ".

  If I use a product from competitors (ABBYY), I get a normal presentation.

  apologies, just found a great response since last October and it worked fine - in case someone has it, you go to system preferences, disable the iCloud account in Internet accounts, mail to launch that will work, and then recheck iCloud.

  I can't find or create the right java script or form calc to feed several text fields in a field.  My supervisor asked me to do it for the two sections of a form using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2, I created.

  (1) merge all 3 user entered text fields to a user editable, summary, text field the end of the form.

  (2) merge all 24 entered by the user in the text fields to a user editable summary text field at the end of the form.

  Since they are all individual text fields in response to various questions, I can't use the overall liaison function. I don't want the summary text field to replace the individual text fields.

  I suspect that you don't have the correct object references in the script.

  If 'PDStrengthWeaknessComments' is on another page, the script might look like:

  If you select global assessment and click in the script editor. Then highlight the PDStrengthWeaknessComments object. Click on the script editor once again to make sure it is active. Press and hold down the control key and move the mouse over the object PDStrengthWeaknessComments. The mouse turns into a 'V '. Right-click the function key which is held on the PDStrengthWeaknessComments object. LC designer inserts the correct reference in the script for you.

  Finally, I would not use a sign less '-' in object names. It will be only to confuse LC Designer.
