  Try the first next.

  Start a video game.

  Right-click on the video (green screen), and then select settings.

  Remove the tick from the box "Enable hardware acceleration", and then click Close.

  Refresh the current page, and see if the video is now Ok.

  If the above does not correct the problem, try a new installation of the plugin flash/ActiveX as follows.

  First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Flash Player Uninstaller.

  Once the download is complete, close all the browser windows, open your downloads folder and run the program uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You can deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.

  I have the same problem as soon as I get into WMC.  The only way I found to get out of the mode full screen is to hit the help button on my MS keyboard for a window appears and then I can use my mouse to navigate until I get a new screen, then I have to use the help button again.

  during playback of videos on my HP Pavilion 23 running windows 8 all of a sudden the video screen goes green and the only way to get a video to play again is to restart the computer. It's a new computer and it has happened as we got it. all updates are set to automatic so that we do not understand what is happening! It makes us crazy! lol any help would be so appreciated!

  Mr PRESIDENT, windows media player crashes during playback of 720 p video file type, it becomes white and gray Tower then program stop. and when I open any window during playback of video file, the video hangs.   microsoft patch i run tool for wmp, it detects splitter media halli causes the crash of wmp and the internet. It disables halli splitter. but can not remove it. I installed not separately halli media splitter, or matroska splitter. It is present in the rundll32.exe file. Since it is a system file, how can I remove it? syystem to fail. I installed k - lite codec pack full 5 , how can I solve this problem?   Is - it blocks the Windows Media Player only when trying to play a file individual or other files too?

  This problem can occur if the video adapter driver is outdated, corrupted because Windows Media Player or hardware video acceleration settings.

  Method 1:
  I suggest you install the latest video card driver from the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

  Method 2:
  If the problem persists, I suggest you try to reduce (or turn off) the hardware video acceleration. Check if it helps.

  If the problem persists, I suggest to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player.

  atikmdag.sys is part of the ATI graphics card driver...

  I think that the problem is caused by the graphics card... probably the ATI driver is the reason why the BSOD appears...

  The laptop was not equipped with a dedicated GPU, but the graphics card part of the Kabini A4-5000 AMD processor AMD Radeon HD 8330 done graphics card

  Perhaps you could uninstall this driver and install a new update...

  I have a Lenovo older G470 of 1 week I've discovered recently guard spontaneously stopping during playback of the facebook/youtube videos. This occurs regardless if I'm on battery or connected to AC power.

  My G470 has an i5 - 2410M with 8 GB memory, ATI Radeon 6370 M and runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

  Someone has similar problems? If so is there a fix?

  Hey guys! So I get random Bsod during playback of Skyrim, something strange is no other games I had installed don't this. Battlefield 3 works great with many others. Skyrim crashes when loading screens and menus of the inventory for the 2-3 minutes then the blue screen appears.  At first I noticed loss of sound, so I thought it might be something to do with my sound card drivers.   Finally got my food, the store, I ordered home in trouble with their provider.
  They ended up giving me that the GX750w instead of the 650w so out something this nice.

  Good news at least I had a nice game of 4 hours with the 470gtx session in my computer and all is well. I'm surprised I've never caught how important a PSU can be, never once again at least.

  I have windows home Basic, and I use IE 8. Whenever I find a video, the sound fades in and out. A second, you can hear it and the another second, you do not hear it.   I've updated the latest security software as of December 10, 2015, using Yosemite OSX. Was to halfway to a movie yesterday and after security update (2015-005) now when I run iTunes and try to watch a movie all I get is a black screen without sound. TV programs will not play, but my iTunes music doesn't play. I tried to solve the problem by examining previous flows (seems black screens and iTunes have a long story) but was unsuccessful despite the various instructions.

  When I load the .mp4-STROKE with OMP files, I get a blank screen. Audio playback. The same files used to play fine on this same computer, same install OS. I have not installed any new codecs or video applications. I can read these files without problem in Irfanview or Avidemux. Any idea what might be going on here?

  In all cases, the problem disappeared. Now I can view my STROKE with WMP files again. Just another mystery I guess...
