    Hello world
First of all, I apologize if responded to my question before
    I just buy Toshiba NB305 Netbook 442BL
I created the flash recovery with the Toshiba recovery software but I don't want to keep my recovery only media on usb flash. As you know netbooks don't have a DVD burner and I want to have the recovery DVDs too. Then I used the external DVD burner to create recovery DVDs. But I couldn't do it. After a few minutes accumulate on an error.
    Unfortunately, he write unknown error.
Now I need help to solve this problem. If one of the solutions below works, my problem is solved:
    (1) can I image my usb flashes? and to restore it I have to blink
    (2) can I image the recovery without software Toshiba recovery partition?
And finally I can fix the problem of process writing
    Thank you

    Hi Bill,

What type of DVD you used to burn recovery disk? I m still using DVD-R from Verbatim and TDK media, it works.

But in my opinion the easiest way is that make a backup (image) of the USB. As far as I know that it works with a normal backup program like Acronis True Image. You can save the backup recovery USB stick on another drive, for example.

But normally if you don t use the USB it will work if you need it. ;)

  • How can I create a recovery via microsoft inbuild disk create recovery disk tool

    Thank you for helping

    Hi T10.

First of all, I want to let you know that only the beta version of Vista SP1 included a handy tool called recdisc.exe which allowed you to create a repair/restore cd.

It's sad to say with certainty why, in the final version, Microsoft has disabled this feature, we can find the icon but it can not be launched.

If you don't want to use this tool, please refer to the following information. However, the instructions may not work on all Windows Vista system as this feature is disabled by default.

  • Can I create a recovery bootable USB through disk utility?

My HARD drive is dying, I can't access my Macintosh HD partition anymore and I can't reinstall OS because I SMART errors. Before the format and reinstall the attempt to load slow my computer, random errors, etc. So I definitely think that the HARD drive is near death. My plan is to replace my HDD for a Virgin SSD, I perform this task several times on computers of the victory but for MAC, I wonder how I will load the new OS. Can I make a bootable USB with the recovery partition, but on a USB key tools? Unofrtunately I have more available Mac to create the USB bootable through itunes.

My computer is the MacBook Pro (13-inch mid 2010), I have also all original packaging somewhere, if there is a CD that I can use, I certainly can get too.

    Any advice?

    Thank you!

Apple have this to do a USB installation...

Create an installer for OS X - Apple support bootable

Another option is to use the diskmakerx.com application

You must have the OS installer downloaded to make these methods of work is probably not practice on your failed drive.

Both of these options are to run a 'normal' operating system too. The recovery partition is not 'normal '.

Another option is to use the Internet recovery mode if your Mac supports...

Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery - Apple Support

On macOS recovery - Apple Support

Use wired ethernet for best results, since it will download a bootable OS & then download the installer of the OS also.

I suspect you have the update of the firmware installed to add this feature if it has been updated over the last 3 years

You may be able to generate a score of alternative recovery to another disk (such as a USB key) If you want to just "compensation of base OS.

OS X: on Recovery Disk Wizard - Apple Support

A last solution would be to clone your drive failing on an external drive (or use the new SSD in a proper case). That can be done in the modes of recovery via disk utility. Basically, you use a feature to "restore" to clone one volume to another. (I don't see clear instructions for the moment so ask if you want to pursue this option).

  • Create a recovery without the extras disk

We all know that on an HP system, if a person tries to open the subfolders contained in the part of the Factory Image of the hard drive (D: on most systems), they'll just see a message saying: "contains this area of your hard disk (or partition) contains files used to perform a system restore.»  Do not remove or modify any of these files.  Any change to this partition could prevent a recovery of the system in the future. "Same thing with the recovery discs.

However, if you use something like a Windows Ultimate Boot CD (http://www.ubcd4win.com/), or probably a linux or FreeDos disk, they will be able to see the files.

On my system (Pavilion p6210f with Home Premium Windows 7 x 64), the files and folders listed are:

    $RECYCLE. BIN

    boot

    HP

    Preload

    Recovery

    System Volume Information

    Bootmgr

    BT_HLP. FLG

    CSP.dat

    hpdrcu.PRC

    Language.ini

    RPCONFIG. JOURNAL

The HP folder, for example, has the Lightscribe, HP MediaSmart and programs like that in program.

Is it possible for someone who knows what they are doing to create recovery disks customized those files that are only Windows, or close to it and have the extras of HP and other deleted stuff?  Or even 2 sets of disks of Windows on one and other and additional HP on the other and people programs can install only the programs that they use?

This is particularly useful for people who have their partitioned disks with windows and programs in the C: drive and other files of other readers and do not want to restore the C: drive.  One very annoying thing on the recovery partition or recovery discs, it's that it erases all partitions created by a user, whereas a typical drive of Windows will ask you which partition to install to.

I realize that the disk imaging programs can be used to create an image of Windows once it is installed, but who may be unreliable, especially if we can't start Windows at all.

Although there is no direct way to accomplish what you want to do, there is a solution that does the trick. Personally, I use the method that I'll share with you and I also provided this information to others on this forum and it worked for them as well.

First of all, create your HP recovery disks. You will need for these as a failsafe incase something goes wrong. Then, you will need to download an ISO (disk image) of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit a company named Digital River download Microsoft partner. Once this downloaded, you have to burn the image on a DVD to an installation of Windows 7 bootable disc.

Before deleting the current installation of HP OEM Windows 7, you must take a 'snapshot' of the HP OEM Windows 7 product key and activation OEM HP certificate. Information on how to do to provide in a PM (private message).

    Hello

Unless you created your set of recovery DVDs you will need to order a replacement set of recovery disks using the link below - the use of these will reinstall the operating system on your new hard drive, install all of the original software your laptop came with and will re-create the Partition D of recovery on the new drive...

If you have a problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

  • Problem creating drive recovery for Satellite L550-10N

    Hello.

I just bought a L550-10N and the first thing I tried to do is to create recovery discs using the Toshiba recovery disc creator.

Everything went well on the first creation of disc (4 must be created).
The problem starts with the second disk: about when it's half burned, decisions of the gauge, the DVD drive continues to function for hours and never stops.

I tried the process again, but it was exactly the same.

Anyone an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

According to my experience, the best thing you can do is to create a recovery media using DVD-R virgins.
I have created for several different models of laptops using TDK or Verbatim DVD-R media, and every time everything was fine.

  • Satellite U500-17F - problem of calibration by trying to create the recovery disk

I have exactly the same problem with the calibration by trying to create a recovery on Maxell DVD media disc + R I tried twice 2 DVD different each with the same error. Then I burned one of them on my desktop without any problem. When I tried an Emtec DVD + R support on the laptop it burned successfully.
The laptop is Satellite U500-17F with Mat * un DVD-RAM UJ862AS. There is an incompatibility of Mat * one disc with Maxell DVD and must be fixed with a firmware update but Mat * one did not like.

    Hello

I had a problem with a different disc from different manufacturers.
Finally, I tested the TDK and Verbatim and could create the recovery disk using DVD R media!

  • Problem creating a recovery on HP Ultrbook

    Hello

I tried to create a collection set on my HP Ultrabook for months.

The procedure works well until I need to insert media. This is the problem because the media is not able to reconginise even if the same media has been used to back up my file on the same lap all the time.

The media have a lot of empty space (about 150 GB)

I can assess the documents in the media

Now, this problem could be critical because I might need to engage in the recovery, due to several errors that occur at this time.

    See you soon

    EUB

    Hello

Looking at the free space you mention for this media, am I correct in assuming that this is an external HARD drive?

If that is correct, then this is what is causing the problem as the recovery media creation application does not support creating a recovery on an external HARD drive media, you will need to use a (usually 32 GB) usb flash drive.

    Kind regards

  • Lenovo to create factory recovery disks = FAIL

OK, so the first thing I do when I get a new PC...

    1. charge the battery

    2. start at the start, go through the wizards to get into Windows for the first time

    3 restart once

    4. connect to Windows

    5. CREATE RECOVERY DISCS

I want to say I don't know how long, but the trend has been to put sellers is a recovery partition or provide Imaging for HD software as it is the image and here your recovery discs... no problem...

So I start the creation process of recovery disks and naturally he fails the 3rd disk... but he is told to put in another disc and will...

Now, once I created a recovery disc I always put them to use and make sure they work... of course it's not... results in a Blue Screen of Death.  No problem because I already knew I could reinstall from the provided recovery Partition (I don't have a full recovery from the HD wiping out the recovery partition) I managed to recover well and tried to do a new set of discs of recovery... now, here are the best:

I get a message saying "you can have only one copy of the Microsoft Windows operating system."  The product Recovery Media Creator will leave now. "LOL

Wouldn't be too a problem if they would have provided Windows 7 recovery discs w / purchase instead of XP Pro only.  That I understand not at all.

If anyone know how do to reset the recovery media so that I can created a NEW set of recovery disks?

It is a problem of license; Why is it a failure?

Just delete Q:\FactoryRecovery\service_done.ini if you want to create another game...

  • Recovery of E135 Windows 8. Be sure to create the recovery key. Is it possible to restore Windows 8?

    Hi all!

I recently got an E135 came with Windows preloaded 8. Really, I did not like the new interface, so I installed Windows 7 above. Unfortunately I forgot to create a recovery key using this method. Now I would like to reset on Windows 8, but I have no way to force the computer to access the recovery partition.

    The method I've tried:

    • F11 at startup gives me the ability to recover Windows 7 from a USB key. Which is weird, because the original operating system was Windows 8
    • Rescue and recovery and OneKey times give me the ability to save, but not to restore it from the hidden partition.

    Info:

    Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E135 335972G

Managment of disk shows a HARD drive divided into: 2 x the recovery partition, 1 partition system parition and EFI x normal.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

I lost access to the partition recovery and the recovery of www.lenovorecovery.com disks ordererd.

    It is an option.

(I have however failed to use them yet.) Since the edge E135 has no driver disk, I did burn on usb and disk images. For my problem, see here.)

    Hi George,.

For clarity on the issue, answering the question.

Were you able to create a recovery media when you say (during the creation of recovery external drive)?

You can check the link below to create a system image to refresh your PC in Windows 8.

  • Satellite A300-15 has failed to create the recovery disk

I'm trying to create the recovery for the first time disk (portable purchased before 5 days) and stop just before the end, the creator:

    Cannot read the file.
    F:\06343XSP5. STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
    (Error code: 020150-20-00000000)

    What's not?

    I posted this already in another thread, but I can repeat it;

I noticed that not all DVDs are compatible and sometimes it of not possible to burn the recovery due to the problem of DVD DVDs.
I put t know what DVD discs you use, but I had a good experience with TDK DVD-R.

So my advice is simple; Try different DVD from different manufacturers

  • Cannot create a recovery for my Satellite A300-1BZ CD

I tried to use the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator repeatedly and with many different brands of discs to create the recovery disk.
However each time as the laptop is about to finish burning the disc, there is an error and the operation not can be completed.

I don't think there is a problem with the drive as I have used for many other things including watching movies without problem.
Could Toshiba please send me a recovery disk instead?
    Thank you

    > Could Toshiba please send me a recovery disk instead?
A mail recovery disk? Very interesting. Mailed 4 GB image is not so easy.

I don't know what you're doing, but if you want good tip then use Verbatim or TDK DVD-R blank media. For the DVD-R.
I have too many Satellite A300 and recovery DVD, I created successfully.
Do you use DVD-R virgins too?

  • Cannot create a recovery on my Satellite C660D-1CU media

    Hello

I have a big problem with my laptop, Satellite C660D-1CU.
When I initially and then all the programs and Toshiba, and Toshiba recovery media creator this message is on display:

It is impossible to create the recovery media.
Can't find file recovery HARD drive on the second disc of the first hard drive. This computer has no valid environmental restoration of the hard drive.

Can someone help me because I really need my pc back to factory settings because I have too many bugs.

    Concerning
    Nicolas

Message was edited: assignment has been translated

This problem occurs if the Toshiba Recovery creator tool cannot find the recovery image on the HARD drive. There are several reasons for this. Recovery image can be removed, deleted or structure of disk partitions HARD maybe changed. Just with the original settings and their State of origin HDD it will work.

Unfortunately now you will be able to create a recovery media or the installation of HARD drive recovery.
What you can do is a new and original for your model of laptop recovery DVDs and it is possible on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
