Problem installing Adobe Flash Player on my PC

I'm running Vista 32 bit with Internet Explorer 9. I keep trying to install Adobe Flash Player and I get a Windows error message "Adobe Flash player install/Uninstaller 10.1r85 stopped working. " A problem caused blocking the program working properly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is a vailable. " I tried to uninstall, installation running as ADMIN and all the other stuff, but nothing works. Any ideas?

I recommend posting your question in Adobe Flash Player forum .  They can help you better than we can in the Windows 7 forum.  There is a post that might have your answer: Adobe Flash Player install / uninstaller 10.1 R85 stopped working

    Hello

I tried to install Adobe Flash Player on my laptop Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.  I navigate to the download page and select the appropriate version (v23.0.0.162).  It starts to download the file and the installation begins.  He invites me to install.  I click 'Yes' and he continues.  Before the installation starts good, I close all my browsers and disable my antivirus (Norton v22.7.1.32).  The installation seems to work.  A browser opens and shows me other products that I can.  But, when I go to check if the installation was successful (Flash Player Help), then click the 'Check now', he says he was not installed and pointing me to the downloads page.  I tried to install, then reboot my laptop, but it does not always help.  I even tried to install an earlier version of Flash Player and it still does not work.  Any help to fix this problem is highly appreciated!

    Thank you

I had to completely uninstall the Flash and Shockwave objects.  Once I did, I reinstalled the Flash object and it started working.

  • Problem installing Adobe Flash Player on my computer

Last week I installed Webroot Antivirus and Spy Sweeper on my computer and since then I can not load my pictures on Facebook or send them to CVS or Walgreens to develop their. I tried several times to load Adobe Flash Player, followed all the instructions and nothing.  I'm totally frustrated. I waited more than an hour on the phone to a technician from Adobe, and all he could do was direct me to this forum. I have a Dell computer, 32 System. I usually use Windows Explorer as my browser. There, someone can help me please?

    Baetica:

I'm glad that you were able to solve the problems you have had and had Flash works correctly. I got far too much irrelevant information and could keep my more clear and concise instructions. It is easy for PC technicians lose from the point of view of the learning curve when it comes to people like yourself who just want to turn on the computer and make it work.

Adobe is a big company that puts great software (despite what says Steve Jobs). I have read through the final replies and hope that some of what I proposed. I know, it can be frustrating sometimes when applications do not work as they should, but the problem is not always obvious (i.e. the default Adobe). Sometimes it's an apparently independent Windows OS (XP, VISTA, 7) update (XP Service Pack updated automatically to one of my clients and not one member of 15-person staff, including doctors not being not able to access the records of patients, could get on the software of medical practice. The bottom line what everyone hates on Microsoft Windows (the seemingly random questions, buggy) is what everyone loves about MS Windows (with so many options for software and hardware, there is necessarily be conflicts and errors.)

Once again, glad to hear you solved your problem.

  • Problem installing Adobe Flash Player for Mac Air (Yosemite)

I got a message saying that my Adobe Flash Player is out of date. This seemed strange because I had been to access the videos of the previous hour without any problems. I went ahead and opened the Mac version download of the Adobe site setup. Installation began, and after the entry of a password to Admin, the download has reached 25% almost immediately. Unfortunately, it's been blocked 25% since then. I tried to do it again, removing the download and the re - download the update without success. I've also temporarily disabled my AdBlock and AdBlock Plus. I tried to uninstall AFP so I could start again, but the box that is supposed to tell me what version of uninstaller for download has error message says I need to update AFP.

    How can I fix?

Edit: I thought I was downloading an AFP for an earlier operating system (I'm under 10.10.2). I made sure to download the latest version of the AFP for Mac possible. The installation is now stuck at 30%. (Just to be clear, I downloaded the package without problem - the problem is with the installation of the program itself stopping at 30 %.))

Edit 2: I figured out that uninstall the package that I needed (using this page: Uninstall Flash Player |) Mac OS) but after reinstallation AFP, he is still stuck at 25% of download.

Edit 3: The message "failed to connect. Trying to reconnect"appeared, quickly followed by"the connection failed ". Guess I'll try again.

First of all, the Flash of the IE is totally different than the flash used in Firefox. You can update one without affecting the other.

Now, there is a problem right now with Flash 11.3 and 11.4 in Firefox. Downgraded to 10.3 is an acceptable solution for the moment. Adobe publishes the updates (slowly) that solve the problems, but it is not a matter of time before they are all fixed.

  • missing WinHTTP.dll appears installing adobe flash player.i

missing WinHTTP.dll appears installing adobe flash player.can't read on cause disk installation of scratch.can I download? If so where? / Thank you.

If missing winhttp.dll, some Services from Microsoft (and others) just will not start:

BITS service (Background Intelligent Transfer Service)
Automatic Update Service (it crashes you try to start)

You can see things like this in the Event Viewer log system:

    Service
Cannot start Service on Local computer Background Intelligent Transfer.
Error: 126: the specified module could not be found
    Event type: error
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7023
    Description:
The Background Intelligent Transfer Service is completed with the following error:
The specified module could not be found.

The automatic updates Service hang and displays "Start" in the Services applet:

    Event type: error
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Description:
Automatic Updates service hung on starting.

Some products Adobe also will not work, like the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5ServiceManager Service Manager (and perhaps other Adobe startup items) not start and displays error message like this:

CS5.5ServiceManager.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because WINHTTP.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Running sfc/scannow will not replace the winhttp.dll file missing.  I know because I tried.  It's just another wild goose chaseSupport Engineer.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called winhttp when the name of the file should really be called winhttp.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

Sfc/scannow will not replace the winhttp.dll file missing, but it will be a frustrating waste of time and a technician to support running wild goose chase.  Technical support engineers are hired by Microsoft if you hope that someone would know better.

It's a shame that the technical support engineer did not his own advice to "check how it works.

    Hey Papi Williams,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

From the description of the problem, it seems that you are unable to download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player on your computer. I understand the inconvenience.

    1. What version of Adobe flash player you have downloaded?
    2. What Web browser are you using to view the website?
    3. Which site did you download Adobe Flash Player?

Let us try the following steps and check if it helps to solve the problem.
