  A year ago I bought the students and teachers of the Master Collection Adobe Creative Suite 6. I the have not yet installed on my computer, but my laptop doesn't have a hard drive. Does anyone know if there is anywhere on the Adobe site where I can download the program totally elecronically and enter my credentials if it fits against my serial number? Just really want to have to go out and buy a hard drive!

  If you have a problem dl'g, you don't follow all 7 steps.  the most common mistake is not meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

  This error message is a bit misleading. What happened is that CS5 that was issued before the "custodian" is not "signed" and installation is blocked because it is considered to be "unreliable".

  Solution: Temporarily set to "Everywhere" and then open the dmg file.

  Select the previous product (what you own) and you will be asked for the serial number of the previous product.

  OK go you can try to run the uninstall program located in/Applications/Utilities/Adobe install.  It may not work because of the method you used to remove the software.  If you still have problems then you can try running Cleanup CS5 Script - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
