Problem installing HP Photosmart C4780 ink cartridge
I just installed new ink cartridge in my HP Photosmart C4780. I ran the test cleaning and alignment and my
print is fine except that everything is obscured. What I forget? Thank you very much!
(1) what a filled cartridge or a new cartridge?
(2) who is the operating system installed on your computer?
(3) did you change on your computer recently?
This usually occurs because of three reasons-
(a) if cartridge is defective.
(b) the ink and toner levels are not suitable.
(c) If fuser on the printer is broken.
You can try to remove the cartridge and the seat of again.
You need to check the ink and toner levels cartridge.
To do this, you must refer to the article mentioned below.
Note: you can use the link mentioned above just for reference, if it does not apply to your operating system.
You should post your question in the forums of HP support and contact HP support for help.
To do this, you can check the below link-
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/ - HP support forums.
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html - Support HP
In addition, you can see the article mentioned below that addresses a similar issue-
Note: the printer described in the article mentioned above is of a different model. But it applies to your printer as well.
Hope this helps!
I have a Photosmart C4780 printer which I am putting in place. It is connected and 'impression', even if nothing appears. When I try to print the alignment page that nothing comes up except for 2 tiny small black lines the top of the page. Makes me think that the ink cartridges are not defective. When I tried to print the alignment page, looks like it's something printing, but nothing is there. I tried troubleshooting and turn the printer off and on again to redo the alignment exercise. Someone at - it advice?
Hi there, how old are the supplies you use? I'll assume that you have checked that the ink levels from the Panel before or through the printer software and its showing that there is little ink in the cartridges. If the printer has been lying idle for awhile with the inserted cartridges they can become crust around the nozzles. You mention that you have tried troubleshooting, you run the automated tool to clean the cartridges? I included here a link to the document to support troubleshooting for print quality problems. Scroll down to step 6 of Solution 6 (just below the images in the print quality report) and follow the steps there. If this does not work, proceed to step 7 which explains how to clean the surface of the nozzle of the cartridges.
I hope that this information helps to get the problem solved.
When I installed a new cartridge black HP, after the existing black cartridge HP showed no black ink on paper, the message on the screen says "Ink cartridge problem - the following ink cartridges appear to be missing or corrupt" and indicated that the black cartridge was at fault. I tried an another new cartridge HP black and had the same result.
I can't use the print head clean installation/tool while the message remains.
I have reset the printer (several times) by unplugging the power cord from the printer, while the power was on, wait at least 30 seconds and then reconnect the power cord to the printer. All to nothing does not.
Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.
After having tried many suggestions from the Forum, including cleaning the printhead twice, I abandoned all hope and withdrawn for all connections of my Photosmart C6380 and instead, began to investigate other (not HP) printers. A few days later (I'm slow nine material selection!), I thought I would connect my printer to my computer for one last try.
The printer has recognized all the cartridges HP 5 as he had already said that the (new) black cartridge is missing or empty. It then proceeds automatically to clean and align the cartridges, taking more than 10 minutes in the process, and finally it print a sheet showing that the printer was working again. I had to restart the computer before I could print normal leaves.
It seemed to me that the printer for a long period of isolation meant the printer lost recorded "information" and so had to start again.
I have a Photosmart 5510 which has no ink cartridge. My intention is to use it to scan only, and I would like to be able to set up wireless. When I turn on the printer, the control panel displays this: "problem of ink cartridges. One or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged. Install or replace the affected cartridges. »
The wireless button or the ePrint button cause anything to appear on the control panel and there is no other options, such as cancel or continue.
Is there a way to go beyond this message of ink cartridges without installing cartridges?
In general, I'm afraid the answer is no, as a multifunction device, it requires the ink required to operate the device but there are of the workarounds you can try.
That there is a problem with one or more of the ink cartridges should be sorted first, the control panel will not answer while the device is in an error state.
You try to use the computer temporarily plugging in a USB port on the printer.
If the printer is recognized by the PC in such a State, let it finish its configuration and open the software HP Photosmart 5510.
Open the utilities tab and click on Setup & software printer, then click on convert USB to wireless and follow the steps on your PC.
If this success then run a scan of your PC use.
If it is not detected, which is likely to be affected by the error status of the device, such you will solve the problem first.
You can follow these steps to solve a problem of cartridge if necessary:
I have reset my Photosmart B110A (by entering the hidden menu) but now when you want to install it and set it up, the process stops because I did not SETUP ink cartridges, but others. How can I fix that?
I came across this post which, if you want to try it at your own discretion to see if it helps. I'll send you a PM. In the forum next to your handle name, simply click on the envelope to see.
I just install new ink cartridges in my printer. Now everytime I turn on the printer, I get these annoying windows that says: I just installed new ink. How can I keep this window to come whenever I turn on my printer? I have a HP Envy 4520 10 Windows (64-bit) PC.
In fact, I found a program that HP had installed on my machine, called "One Click" which took place whenever I turned on my printer. I just deleted the app and all is well. Thank you!
I have a HP Photosmart Premium printer, the ink cartridge is stuck on the right side of the printer. Keep receiving an error message that says: "remove paper jam and then press ok. I did all the steps to clear any torn or ripped from the inside of the printer paper, there was never any paper in there for blocking up inside anyway. When I opened the top of the printer my container of cartridge will not move at all, he's stuck. It won't control the printer or by my own doing when the printer is turned off without being able to. The error and lack of time with my printer cartridge do not allow me to use the printer, I hope you can help me in anyway possible. Thank you.
It seems you have a carriage jam. Sometimes it can be a sensor that is bad and can not work properly. Here is a link that will help to transport jam
I would like to know if it works.
The transport does not automatically moves himself posted to the right of the machine when the lid is open. I'm unable to change empty ink cartridges. The machine was purchased new April 2013 and is out of warranty. I turned off and turned it back over 15 min later, no change.
I see that you have problems with the transport not to move to the middle in order to change the cartridges.
I would like to help.
I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
If the transport does not move freely when grasp the front, it's OK to gently push the carriage to the left or right to move along the rail.
Fragments of paper can get lodge between the cart and the gas station. It is important to look at the far right of the printer with a flashlight to make sure there is no debris.
I handed a document with some measures to try to resolve the transport stall.

The screen shows printer cartridge problem. I cleaned the cartridge and it does not work so I replaced the cartridge with a new cartridge HP 60 and it still gives the same error print cartridge problem. Help, please.
A question for HP support, or their forums, its their device & software
Bought the number 60 ink combo pack. Same I've always bought. They are wide to fit in the carrier. The dealer told me that since I opened the I can't return them. They were packed with a free package of printing paper. I'm afraid to buy additional Ink because it is so expensive. That's happened? HP pays my price?
Never had a problem with the ink of my HP printers befor.
Please check his label, he product code CC640W for black and CC643W for three colors? They must install a contact or HP in your country to have new cartridges.
Hi do anyone knows if it is possible to replace the clips that hold the ink on the Photosmart 8180 All in One Printer. If Yes, where can I buy a. Just the end is broken where it clamps down. We have tried several different ways to paste the clip, but nothing works. Shame to throw away the printer, simply because on a small part!
Printer is out of warranty, so can not yet find a way to contact the HP Support!

I have a HP Photosmart model # 309 has all-in-One and now my black ink stopped printing. I ran all the tests; That is to say, aligned printheads, printheads cleaned, print a Diagnostic page and print a test without result page. My color will be printed, but when I try to print something from the internet or other, print the colors and the background is so low in black, it's unreadable. Hope you have solved the problem. My black ink shows that it is half full. My printer is 14 months old. Help. This widget could not be displayed.
Is there a comparable cartridge for the HP photosmart 2610 printer all-in-one.
I have always used the 96 cartridge which is expensive
The HP SureSupply site indicates the cartridge HP 94 black is also compatible with the Photosmart 2610.
I have a Photosmart Plus, which uses 564 cartridges.
Since I have several cartridges, I want to replace this printer with another who uses the same cartridge.
There is a new model for use by the carts of 564?
Thanks for your reply.
I searched diligently and, as far as I know, unfortunately HP no longer sells a printer that uses 564 carts.
Not a huge surprise - Photosmart Plus is a few years old.
Have a new computer (HPdv7) with Windows Vista and a new machine to the printer (HP Photosmarrt B109 (a - m). I need to install this printer, but Windows Vista to reject this process. I did everything possible and has been followed correctly the CD-Manual. The problem is Windows Vista. What can I do?
