Problem installing KB2728973 ' Unathorized digital certificates could allow spoofing "which was released 10JULY2012

Has anyone had a problem installing KB2728973 ' Unathorized digital certificates could allow spoofing "which was released 10JULY2012?  I could not this patch to run after double-clicking on it.  This was true for XP SP3 and Server 2003 SP2.  Your comments are appreciated.  By-the-way, I met all three requirements that are suggested in the section "Known issues" section of Microsoft.

    3. how you try to install updates?

    4. you receive an error with the message code?

Microsoft and Digital Media Edition works only with the below mentioned platform:

    Windows NT / 98 / 2000 / Me / XP / 95, Mac, Linux, Unix

Windows Dancer was essentially a part of Microsoft more! Digital Media Edition, which has now been abandoned because a lot of these things is now included in Windows Vista.

  • Cannot get online after installing windows XP Edition family on my laptop which was origally XP PRO

I have a laptop HP Compaq 6830 s that had xp professional did not get a disc of bone with it when buying. The system crashed 0x0000007B error code. I installed OS XP Home version Pro Version and now I't does not recognize my modem or ethernet. Cannot get online. I'll tho the HP site and they don't have that driver for XP Pro Downloads Home Version. I go to the Device Manager and have question marks on the following - ethernet controller (PCI bus 134, device 0, function 0), network controller (bus PCI 3, device 0, function 0), PCI Device (device function 27 of the PCI bus 0 0), Universal serial bus (PCI bus 0, device 29, function 7) (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller (bus PCI 0) (, 26, function 7 device), unknown device (on PCI bus) properties, the properties of the unknown device (on system compatible ACPI Microsoft) and the properties of video controller (VGA Compatible) (bus PCI 1, device 0, function 0) all the points mark have (Code 28). Is there any wat I can fix this or should I install OS XP PRO?

    Go here--> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

Enter the model of your computer.  If you just enter 'Compaq 6830 s' you get 3 choices.

For example, I clicked on the link below and select the link for "XP Professional" coming to this page--> http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3688717&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688712&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1093

You're right; There are a large number of items on this page.  You may be able to refine things if you enter your full product number, but if not, here are some general indications:

"" For each of the downloads, click each tab on the download page and read the information on 'Description' improvements,' 'Instructions of Installation","System requirements"," Release Notes, "and"Revision history" before you install the downloaded driver.

    • Start by "Driver - Chipset" and use "9.1.0.1007 a (January 16, 2009).»
    • Then go to "driver - storage.»  Install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver.  Optional, but probably very desirable, install the new version of HP 3D DriveGuard.  You probably don't need (at least for now), the driver of chip card reader (unless you have an external drive of smart card).
    • Then go to "- Audio driver." Install the driver Microsoft UAA and the most recent drivers SoundMax ADI.
    • Then go to 'Pilot - graphics.' Install the new ATI video driver.
    • Then go to "driver - network."  It's a little more complicated.  Install the Marvel Yukon Gigabit Ethernet controller driver.  This will allow you to connect to your cable or DSL or your router by Ethernet cable.  You must determine if your particular laptop has an Intel or Broadcom wireless adapter.  Looking in the Device Manager in the "Network adapter" section, you should be able to make this identification.  Install the driver for the appropriate device.  If you believe that your laptop is Bluetooth compatible, install this driver as well.  The HP "wireless Wizard" is optional.  I would delay installing this at this stage.
    • Then go to "Driver - keyboard, mouse and input devices."  Install the Synaptics Touchpad driver and one for the HP Quick Launch buttons.

At this point, most of your hardware should work correctly.  If there is always warning icons in Device Manager, you should be able to understand... or ask again here.  Read the 'Description' for other downloads to see if this is something you want or need.  Be aware, however, that many "Software" downloads are only updates or patches and not the complete package (which probably would have been preinstalled on a new computer.

  • Mail application asking to install a digital certificate

I'm trying to set up an Exchange ActiveSync account and receiving the message «To use this account, you must install a digital certificate on this PC...» ».

I looked and saw several responses to this, almost all that refer to the Exchange Server after installing a self-signed certificate.  This isn't my case.  In this case the Exchange Server has installed a 3rd party certificate (published by GoDaddy, if it matters).  I can configure this account on my Windows Phone 8 phones, in Outlook on Windows 8, on my iPad on my iPhone, Android based everything without no extra steps, but not in the user surface Mail application.

So is it possible to configure the mail on Windows 8 RT application or should I just to tell me that their Surface is not supported users and tell them to return it and get an iPad or Android Tablet?

First of all, Atthisaddress, thanks for trying to help.

It works now.  I don't think it was the update of the Mail application which sets it he was still does not work after that I updated.

What finally solved it for me was overtype and reinstall the GoDaddy certificate on the server.  I did once my boss sent me a screenshot of the error he received on a Mac (who had previously worked) and it contains a certificate error message.  Once I circumscribed and re-installed the certificate that the Mail App works just as I expect.  He doesn't want me to install a digital certificate on the client (it was a clean install of Windows 8 on a virtual machine) and just worked.

My reproach to Microsoft maybe should have been addressed to me, because it seems that it was a certificate on my mail server error all the time.  Of course, the error message provided by the Mail App could have been a little more helpful to save some headaches.

The Surface RT is now able to use the Mail App to connect to work email, and that's what I was looking for.

To everyone having this problem with self-signed certificates, good luck.  I hope that Microsoft gets you to work together soon.

    Hello

I try to make a windows version of my application of dps.

I proceeded as described in the white paper https://helpx.Adobe.com/Digital-Publishing-Suite/help/Windows-Publishing-Guide.html and reached until the "Test of the application".

I was able to right click the file Add - AppDevPackage.ps1 and could choose "run with PowerShell.

"The developer license, I was following the instructions of go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=252740 '

But then I got an error (still in Power Shell):

    > > "Das Zertifikat nicht installed werden konnte. Status: unknown error. < <

Translates: certificate could not be installed. Unknown error status.

    Can anyone help?

(DPS support recommended to check with the help of windows, but from there I have no response...)

    Thank you

    Thank you

  • How no one inspects a digital certificate?

    Hi people,

I learned to inspect a program a digital certificate for some things (it was revoked, it has expired, which is the transmitter, etc.), but I don't know how to get a handle on the certificate to verify these things.

I've been googling and try different things for a few days now, but I don't get really anywhere. The best I came up with that is that I might need to use classes in java.security.cert, but I don't know how to use them. I looked at the docs on them, but they don't help me too. It seems a bit to me like java.security.cert classes are aimed at creating a digital certificate and not to download from a remote server so that I can inspect.

Someone had to do this? How should I do to download a digital certificate in order to inspect?

I have a little thought that if I did a GET cfhttp request, I could recover the certificate to check among the variables returned by cfhttp, but appear not to be the case.

Help, please! I'm really, really stuck and could use any help I can get.

I am running ColdFusion 8 Standard Edition if that makes a difference.

    Thank you
    Chris

You need to remove the "https://" your host name and use the root

    If the address, site: -.

    host name = "pks.experian.com";

From there, you should be dumpable information about the ssl certificate.

    Experimentation is the key!

  • Problem installing HP tm2-2105eg wireless driver

    Hey all,.

Recently, I formatted the drive of my HP laptop tm2-2105eg for a side-by-side windows/linux installation.

First: this is not a problem of linux, it's windows, which I'll talk. Everything works fine with linux.

My windows system (I installed a Windows 7 x 64 Enterprise system, which was provided by my University MSDNAA program) works very well, only my WLAN controller is not recognized.

I tried to install all the drivers, I found on the support page for my laptop. Two driver installation programs Atheros told me, that the couldn't recognize any supported product. I also looked upward, which driver my Ubuntu system use (a driver for broadcom bcm 4313 chip set - which apparently Atheros sometimes used in their products). I also tried a Broadcom driver for the tm2-2200 for usa. He acknowledged my WiFi chipset, but I wasn't able to connect to my WEP WLAN network using this secure driver.

    My system:

    HP tm2-2105eg

Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (and Ubuntu 11.04, but it should be more or less irrelevant)

Hopefully, there is a solution for this other than "read your backup, live only with windows or clean your hard drive and then resize it. Hopefully, I can work around this problem. However, wireless is vital for me, I need it in the halls of the University.

Thanks for all your efforts in advance.

    Kind regards

    Philipp Freyer

    Hi, Philipp:

See if this Broadcom driver works for your machine:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688868&swItem=ob-90955-1&mode=4&IDX=1

If not, please click the controller wireless problem in Device Manager. Then click on the Details tab. In the Properties window drop down on the list and select the second element (Hardware ID). After the first string you see here.

Those who identify the manufacturer of the device and the device type and model. With this info, I can try and see if there is another driver that is needed.

  • Digital certificates and runaway trustd

Just improved El Capitan (10.11), Sierra (10.12). Updated the o/s, kept my applications and data on both a beginning 2011 MacBook Pro and an iMac end of 2013.

First question mentioned was that Outlook for Mac 2016 hung on the iMac, if I tried to open a digitally signed message (DoD PKI-signed). Had to force quit.

Next issue noted was that Keychain Access hung when I tried to start it. No window of Keychain Access, never not published, if the icon showed in the dock. Open Activity Monitor to investigate and found that the process trustd seems to have run away. The memory of the process was beyond 1 GB. Forced quit Keychain Access, then sent a HUP signal to my trustd process via the terminal. Once he showed up, process trustd memory reached 11.9 MB.

Trying to reopen the Keychain Access, but it hung again. I let it go for a while, and Sierra informed me that he had become insensitive (thanks!). Killed, then looked at the allocation of memory of trustd. It was close to 2 GB.

I upgraded the Macbook Pro at the same time (won't do again). Soon after the connection, I noticed that the fan spun. When he didn't slow down after a bit, I open Activity Monitor and saw that trustd process memory beyond 8 GB. (The total physical memory on the Macbook is 8 GB).

On the iMac and Macbook, I created the new keyrings connection to get rid of all personal digital certificates.

It helped on the iMac. I work in the old Keychain, so I do not have access to the certificates. If I do, Keychain Access crashes and trustd fled. I can return to normal by sending a HUP and stop smoking-force Keychain Access. In addition, Outlook crashes and trustd fled if I touch a digitally signed message. Again, I can go back to normal in force - quit Outlook and sending a HUP to trustd.

The set of connection fees did not help on the laptop. trustd to save, eat memory in the process. I could reset by sending a HUP, after which she would free up the memory, but then he save again. From scratch (erase the hard drive, install Sierra) solves the problem of runaway trustd. I did not restore the Keyring containing digital certificates.

Is this a problem with trustd? I need personal digital certificates to work on at least one of the computers.

I also have problems with a runaway trustd, although slightly different triggers.  I'm trying to synchronize my mailboxes from several of my servers.  It downloads a few hundred saved messages, then trustd goes into overdrive, the fan is used, and the computer works nothing except trustd.

  • ISP says "update of digital certificates expired" now no outgoing doesn't email - HELP

That's what the ISP told me: "it seems that things worked until the moment when we updated our.
digital certificates expire this morning. You may need to accept the new
certificate (that I had to do on my iPhone/iPad). All e-mail applications
differ in the way they treat the SSL certificates. Please see your
Help files request for more information on how to import or accept a car
    signed digital certificate.

I looked in 'view certificates' and 'validation', but I don't see anything to change or do... So, how can I accept this "new" certificate

    Thanks in advance!

    Craig

If your ISP uses self-signed certificates ask them when they intend to become a professional store. Free self-signed certificates are basically something that exists to allow analysis of configurations without fees to pay for certificates. This leaves a loophole for tight companies, generally jobs of MOM and dad, or firms, who are simply stretched to use the correct string of voting trust and pay for their certificates.

Not properly issued SSL certificates requires no acceptance, that the issuer or someone higher in the chain of trust is pre approved by Mozilla. It is extremely poor security to allow users wont accept SSL certificates and they are not experts in these things and could easily appove a certificate that makes their raw text of communication to third parties.
You are done better with unsecured connections, you're free of those signed. At least you know your vulnerable.

However, if you go to the menu Tools > options > advanced > certificates and Tower of the verify option you could do better. They are not probably set up as they sign free. Other than the view certificates and remove all those that you already have for them.

    Hello

You are able to install other programs?

Method 1: See the following article:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c02073861&LC=en&cc=us&product=3795406

Method 2: view the following steps and see if that helps.

    (a) disconnect the printer

    (b) uninstall the software and drivers on the computer

    (c) plug the printer back

    (d) allow the Hardware Wizard search for drivers

    e) if it does not, it asks you to install the source for the drivers, the installation driver CD and install the drivers and see if that helps.
