Problem installing Windows HP Mini 210-1000

Hello

Long story short. I had to wipe the hard drive of my computer completely (with Killdisk) since normal recovery did not work. I found some instructions on the forums about it.

So I had to completely empty hard disk. I began with the recovery discs (factory reset chose) and everything worked well until towards the end, I get a message (I hear the windows sound a bit before you get the message 'error')

Install Windows

Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, run the Setup again.

He showed nomal 'Welcome' message before getting this message. And before that "the installation program sets up your computer for your first use.

Now, the computer restarts to it all the time and is never passed it.  The recovery disks did not work more (they do not start) so I used KillDisk again. Was the wrong choice for a hard drive factory reset completely wiped? What should I try next?

Best regards

SkyDe

UPDATE:

Seems that I managed to make it work after a few tries.

The first time the machine has started even if the installation did not (he says he wants to start the machine and I said 'yes').

I cleaned the drive after that try again with KillDisk. Then recovery disks.

The second time something was wrong (maybe there was something to do with the fact that I chose reduced image recovery) and it has not installed at all.

I did not use KillDisk this time and again since the recovery discs (reset).

Third time was the charm, and now I have everything working.

Summa summarum: do not interrupt the installation even if you are prompted to start the machine. Just wait.

  • HP Mini 210-1000: Please help! Battery does not charge even if it's plugged

Hello! I'm writing this fear and despair because my HP Mini 210-1000 is defective and I'm working on my undergraduate thesis.

    The problem:

The battery says it is plugged and charge but after giving a few hours to recharge, it is still stuck at 65%. Another thing is that I must keep the trendy netbook so he can stay in power. He started last night when I was finishing a paper, then the laptop stops suddenly. When I restarted, I thought it worked well. Then things started acting weird after.

    I already tried things:

    -cold reset

-30 dry to hold the power button

-HP battery Test and turned out the battery be "good."

    Data sheet:

-HP 210-1000 (I got it for not more than 5 years already.) I just changed the battery cable last month. This is the first time, it acted weird)

-10 Windows (32 bits) | originally from Wndows 7 Starter

    -Intel Atom

    -CPU N450 @ 1.66 GHz 1.67 GHz

    -BIOS Configuration: F.04 - 12/30/2009

    -Product number: WD344EA #ABV

    -Serial number: CNF005CBGQ

    Please help me.

After five years of reliable use the battery is more capable of providing the power as it did once.

So, Yes, it seems that the tests failed.

In the wizard in the HP Support, there is usually a calibration option which restores the full charge, which is 100%, which is currently available.

If the battery has no real ability to the left, then it will be in fact a bit of a moot point.

  • HP mini 210-1000

I just bought a laptop hp mini 210-1000 and I have attached an external monitor, but I can't seem to find a way to extend my desktop to the secondary monitor. Is it possible to do it on this computer?

    Thank you!

If you want to upgrade to window 7 Home Premium that I would recommend to add 2GB Memory stick... You can without any problems... Just look for the PC2-6400 memory...

In addition, choose the 32-bit version of the operating system that the hardware does not support 4 GB memory...

I hope this is the right forum for this question.  First of all, it relates to a HP Mini 210-1000 netbook PC, running Windows 7 Ultimate...  I want to buy a 32 GB flash drive, but cannot know whether or not the hardware/software will support it.  Can someone please advise - my need is very urgent.

    Thank you in advance.

Any size flash drive works and there is no problem. Please go ahead and buy without any fear.

  • Mini210-1000 HP: HP Mini 210-1000 AHCI Support?

Title says it all, to a degree...

Nothing anywhere in the BIOS that indicates this thing supports AHCI, I so wanted to just take your brain...

If I install an SSD to replace the disk HARD in it now, will it work? Will I have AHCI/TRIM support?

Any contribution is appreciated. Thank you!

What HP model year cell phone is yours?   What is the model number on the black serial number on the bottom?

The one I have is quite old. I just checked and it's a HP mini 1000.

    @ChorusOfOne

    Do not leave immediately.

I just watched a little more features. The manual may very well be wrong.

The most recent mini 210-1000 with product number WA543UA #ABA ad product name HP Mini 210-1010NR has a disk hard Serial ATA II (SATA).  If it is indeed this than yours, it means that a SATA SSD would fit well and work.

See the first part of the next video. Of course, it looks like a SATA hard drive for me. Check out the connector.

  • 6 cells identical to 3 cells performing on HP Mini 210-1000

    Hi all

I'm on my father to the hospital. Since there is no extra plug for me to put on my netbook adapter, I need extra time on the battery. 3 cells using, my netbook lasts about 2 hours and a half.

So, I bought a 6 cells, it would double the time of hope.  Unfortunately, the length of time is near, if not exactly the same as a 3 cell.

Here are the details when you use the battery 3 cells:

    That's when using 6-cell battery

Note that both had full duration of 2 hours and 22 minutes, despite different value capability level and battery wear.

That worries me. I need more than total 4 hours to do my work/productivity then in a hospital.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    I use a HP MINI 210-1000.

Thanks for getting back to me! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Do you have the chance to test the two batteries? or just one? It is unlikely that both batteries are bad. If both say 'unknown', try the suggestions in this thread DavidPK.

  • Problem installing Windows XP Mode in 7 Winjdows

I have a problem installing Windows XP Mode in Windows 7 Pro 64 running on a Dell Latitude E6510 laptop with an i5 processor and 8 GB of ram.  This machine supports hardware virtualization, and it is enabled in the BIOS.

Before downloading software in XP Mode, the MS download required Windows validation Web site.  Downloaded and reported validation validation and a successful installation.  Then I downloaded Windows XP Mode (WindowsXPMode_en - us.exe, 481 052 KB) installation package and the package of Windows Virtual PC (Windows6 1 - KB958559 - x 64 - RefreshPkg.msu, 16 692-Ko).  Then, I installed Windows XP Mode; the installation ran without any problems apparent and reported success.
According to the docs of download site, the next step is to: "... click on the Windows 7 start button , and then select all programs > Windows Virtual PC > Windows XP Mode to begin the installation."
My problem is Windows Virtual PC does not appear anywhere in the selection of all programs list - believe me, I looked.  There is, however, a new directory called
    c:\ProgramFiles\Windows XP Mode\
but it contains no exe file.  It contains a file of 1.2 GB called Windows XP Mode base.vhd - but it is not clear what to do with it.  There is also a tutorial subdirectory.
I tried to reinstall Windows XP Mode (without uninstalling first) but I just get a warning message that the program is already installed.  Windows XP Mode appears on the list "Uninstall or change a program" in the module programs and features in Control Panel.
I tried running (Windows6. 1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu(Windows6.1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu, goal that throws error 0x8007000d, "The data is invalid."
If at this point, my question is simple, "what to try next?
    Thanks in advance.

The right way to install Windows XP Mode, you must first install Windows Virtual PC, and then install Windows XP Mode.

    You must install both files:

    1 Windows6. 1 - KB958559 - x 64 or x 86 architecture that you run

Restart the system, and then install:

    2 WindowsXPMode_en-we

    ------------

    Uninstall Windows XP Mode:

Click Start, type: programs and features

    Press enter on your keyboard

    Scroll down

    Select Windows XP Mode

Click Change/uninstall in the command bar

    Uninstall Windows XP Mode

    -----------------

    Restart your computer

Proceed with the installation of Windows XP Mode in the right order.

    --------------

If it does not always show upward:

Click Start, type: enable or disable windows features

    Scroll down

Make sure that Windows Virtual PC is checked

    Click OK

    Reboot if prompted

  • HP Mini 210-1000 is very slow, even after disabling several programs.

I bought a HP Mini 210-1000 little more than one year. 1 GB of RAM. Win 7 Basic. Since only my son used and that occasionally, I never realized how incredibly slow, it was. Often, it takes 1 min for IE open a page. Even though I have broadband, I can't watch Netflix movies. I have disabled several programs in the menu of boot, run CCleaner, but it is still slow. When I check the Task Manager, it seems that 60-70 memory is used even when the CPU usage is 5%. I tried to tune up with HP Support Assistant, but when I click on update, it fails to update, fails to analyze or gather information. HP Support Assistant is only for products still under warranty? Can I maybe just uninstall and reinstall? Or am I left with no other choice than the upgrade of perhaps the memory? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

According to the specifications of the laptop it came with WIN7 64 BITS HOME PREMIUM so the best thing you can do is to install the original recovery image that you got with your laptop and everything should be ok.

    Can you do this?
