problem of driver installation wireless network for computer notebook dv7-6c20us

I installed Windows 7 Professional but do not have a set of drivers for the computer.  I can't get the wireless NETWORK card driver to install.  I downloaded the drivers from the HP site and they will not properly install on the computer.  I do not know the manufacturer of the wireless hardware, so I can't go to the appropriate site.  I tried to use HP scan tool, but it will run on the computer.  Chrome, the button does not even operate.  In Internet Explorer, the scann button depresses but nothing happens.  Help!  Thank you!

Hello:

No wonder you had difficulties to find the wireless driver.

According to the list of parts for your laptop, it comes with the adapter PCIe half minicards (HMC) WiFi Realtek 8188GN.

The driver for this model of card is not on the page support and driver for your model.

Here is the link to the driver for this card.

  • USB wireless adapter for computer laptop problem

    Hello:

The HP laptop with XP get "Low" signal every time I'm in the other room that is not too much longer off the router, about 60 to 70 feet away from him.  Then, yesterday, I got USB Netgear adapter in the hope of trying to get more signal.  Because, says a guy in the store of the computer installation USB adapter is 'boost' to get decent and more signals.

When I installed the Netgear adapter for the laptop, there is no signal at all and to appear the following message appears in the middle of the screen.

NETGEAR 111v3 Smart Wizard, WEP Passphrase to create WG and the key manually

    My question is;

How to install the USB Netgear adapter for laptop?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hello

The general idea that a USB adapter is a bit a booster dose is false. I'm not sure that you will get the USB Ant thing you don't get the laptop.

According to the physical environment, 60 to 70 domestic feet with walls is probably beyond the capacity of the wireless router.

As for your specific question, it seems that USB is correctly installed but must adjust its password security to your current wireless network.

  • Problems with the installation of updates for Windows Vista security: error 80070490

Having problems to install updates of security for Windows Vista (5 pieces) for months. Error code is 80070490. I have a lot of disk space and tried to repeat the time where there are no installation. I use wireless which is a power connection (seems to be the specific network), but connect to the internet using the cable has not solved the problem either. Help, please. Thanks for your time.

    Hi AndraP,

Since these are updates important, even if you hide updates, you may need to install the update at some point.

You can try to perform a clean boot and try to install the stand-alone package containing the updates.

    Step 1:

You can perform a clean boot state.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: Make sure that you put the computer to a Normal startup once you are finished with the installation of the update.

    Step 2:

Once you have placed the clean boot the computer, try to install the stand-alone package of updates from the links provided depending on the version of Windows that you are using:

  • problem with printing on wireless network

    Hello. I have a HP psc 2410 all-in-one printer.

I recently bought a modem router that has a function called "print server" and I decided to use this feature and print via wifi. I put it to the top, but with a problem. When I print something, for example, test page, instead of printing a page, it will print 'test page' on 3 pages (something like partial pages and the last = third page is printed without understanding) and then it freezes (the printer display says 'printing' and I have to cancel the job, otherwise it crashes and I have to reconnect it). I have this problem, not only in the test page but at least IE, office, PDF files. This concerns mainly the Wifi, since if I connect the printer directly to the PC or laptop via usb, it works quite well. also I tried printing with different laptops with wifi but no go. Here is more information that I have forget:

    (1) router is WPA - PSK encryption type.

    (2) there is no mac filtering or hide SSID passes.

    (3) a laptop and an iPad is connected to the router via wifi and a PC which is connected by a LAN cable.

    (4) the IP address of the printer, this is the same as the IP for the router settings page. (192.168.0.1)

    (5) I can't open the printer's internal web page by entering the IP address of the printer in the browser, since it is the same as the IP address of the router.

    (6) firewall on my computer (windows 7 32-bit) laptop is turned off and I don't use any anti-virus.

    (7) I tried PHYSICIAN analysis AND HP Print, but he says that the printer is OK.

    Thank you

    Leland

EDIT: after studying for hours, I finally managed to get rid of the problem of gel. now, there is just one problem of this partial impression that happens by chance on wifi! I mean, it happens sometimes and sometimes not.

any suggestions? I would really appreciate it

The background is that this printer has no way to connect more than a straight USB connection.   In order to make wireless you have a device that will give him a network IP address.  The printer itself is unable to do this.

The only way to get this printer on a network is to buy a SEPARATE USB print server.   Or, buy a router separate, as I said, that has a USB connection on the back which will have supported printers.

You can not connect as you wish as it stands right now.

However, call your ISP and have them set up IF their gateway device has a USB connection and really can support a printer.  That's their problem.

  • Can someone help me with this problem of very strange wireless networking? (intermittent connectivity)

So I'm having a very strange problem with my wireless adapter. (surprise, right?) Let me explain just what is happening here: I will use my computer, online, do a lot of things like play games or surf the web. Randomly, for no apparent reason, my wireless adapter disconnects the current network disconnect myself from everything I do. When I check my available wireless networks, I can't see a single network. This has happened to me for a while. When he started it first, I tried many things including the uninstallation of a reinstall of my adapter without success. I have to restart my computer to fix. This happens from time to time and has not stopped since the first occurrence. Originally, if I would try to find a network or uninstall/reinstall, my computer would be soft locking and I would be able to use the windows closed functionality, it would just hang out there indefinitely until I hard loaded. Now its being less skittish and let me do a reset software to fix, but it becomes very annoying. I know this isn't my router because all my roommates can still connect to the network very well, and the router will not prevent me to see many (15-20) wireless networks in the region. If someone can help me even by some light on what is happening, I would be very grateful, because I'm getting very frustrated by that. I reinstalled the map, he pulled for dust, etc. etc. It is not usb and its actions with the system. The Device Manager it says as a 802.11n wireless adapter PCI Express LAN Card, manufactured by LITE-ON TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION. Connected to the 4 PCI bus, device 0, function 0.

    Thanks in advance:

  • Problems to connect a wireless router to computer

well, I have a windows vista desktop computer. I had remote access to my old House. I recently moved in with my sister and she has an acer laptop and a netgear wireless router. Ive been trying connect my computer to the wireless router, but it won't work. its plugged in the right place and everything and when I try to detect network hardware and settings, it keeps showing up as "windows doesn't detect any wireless network hardware" I do not understand why because its hip sister said she had a disc to install his wireless router but it no longer has the drive. do I need this disk to install the router or what? any help is appreciated, thank you.

    Hi keV ann,.

The hardware you need for wireless technology includes the following:
    1. wireless network adapter. One for each computer on your network (laptops almost always have these built in).
    2. wireless access point or router (recommended).

For more information, see setting up a wireless network
NOTE: Laptops have a wireless button; Press the button to turn it on.
We also recommend you to check the configuration of the wireless router. Please check the routers manual.

    Kind regards

  • PROBLEM! Cannot view wireless networks!

Hi, I am currently running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my office and cannot view wireless networks!

I tried to use two wireless adapters and both show active although they cannot show all networks.
LAN works perfectly well and when I try to add a wireless network, it is said "an unexpected error has occurred."
I have updated drivers for two adapters to the correct version wireless and little. No yellow icon in the Device Manager.
I also checked to see if power saving has been enabled for the device and power options that are disabled.
Two wireless adapters are using a USB port, not PCI. I abandoned everything simply! I need some advice on how to solve this problem! I can provide more information if necessary. But please help me with this problem :(
I also disabled anti virus software and my firewall!
The wireless adapter, I am using is the:
TRENDnet TEW-649UB Wireless USB adapter N speed

    UPDATE! :
We have some progress I uninstalled all the previous windows updates and can now see wireless networks (such as firewall/AV). The problem I have now is that when I try to connect it said "Windows could not connect. He also says in the settings of cards tab my wireless adapter is "authentication attempt.

    Hi Tatiana,

    ·         Have you tried to install the drivers from the manufacturer's Web site?

    ·         Have you checked if the network card works on another computer?

Download drivers card network from the manufacturer's website and check manually.

    http://www.TRENDnet.com/downloads/list_subcategory.asp?SUBTYPE_ID=1353

Alternatively, you can deal with this problem due to security software. I suggest that disable you the security like anti-virus and firewall software and check if the problem persists.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Call the helpline for the manufacturer of your network adapter. It is likely that neither Windows nor the router have problems, it's just a matter of getting the configuration on both put in place settings to work properly together. The manufacturer of the router will be the best resource to learn how to configure their device.

  • Unable to connect to a wireless network for machine under windows 7.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad U450p with Intel Centrino 2 chipset.

The wireless card is Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

Completely updated the driver (in order to solve the problem)

For some reason I can't connect to any wireless network. I don't think it's a problem of router, the router can connect to other devices (there is no MAC filtering). I also tried to connect to the hotspot from my phone.

I can see all available wireless networks, so I think that the scanning function does not work correctly. I just can't connect to one of the networks. I tried to change the password wireless, even tried to disable wireless security.

My deskjet 970Cse is hard, connected to our desktop running Windows XP Pro. I just bought a new laptop running Windows 7 64 bit. I was able to install the printer connecting the USB cable to the laptop without a hitch, however, I can not install it on the network. When I click on add printer, Windows is able to find the printer, but after having tried to connect, it says that it cannot find a driver on the network. When I click OK to locate one manually, it asks me to locate the INF I tried point to the Windows XP INF file that I downloaded on the HP site, but (obviously) it says that it cannot connect to the printer.

I guess if I am able to connect the printer locally this logging on a network must be able to work? No work around to make it work?

Or is my question anything HP pourrait/will be/t ' resolve when it releases so-called Windows 7 drivers?

Follow these steps: on the Windows 7 computer go to file devices and printers, add a local printer, printer, create a new port, port Local, next, \\xpcomputername\dj970 (where you put in the real share of the computer name and printer), OK, Windows Update (and wait for the list to repopulate), HP Deskjet 970, then, then.
