Problem of green arrow (download buttom)

Hello community:

I have a weird problem.
My Green right arrow button works perfectly: it indicates the remaining time of downloads, it shows me when the download is complete, and pressing Ctrl + J show me the Download Manager window.

But...

When I press the green arrow, he goes from green to gray but nothing more: it does not open the Download Manager window.

But there is more...

In fact, it opens the Download Manager window, but it's invisible! I had this problem for about 6 months, but I never noticed that until now that accidentally saw how the pointer changes to a hand under the green arrow each time that I press this button.

The problem is solved when I opened FF in safe mode.
I use FF 27.0.1 and windows 7 64 x

Any idea?
Thank you!

(More information: it seems that my problem is similar to this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/977247 )

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you will need to close and restart Firefox).

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

Update Firefox 29, the same user interface is used for all types of installations. Changes to the UI are for mobile devices, at the expense of desktop / laptop users. Stupid idea, but we're stuck with it until Firefox falls into the 'other' category graphics use or pie charts. Fundamentally unworthy to have its own category more.

    Hi Adam,.

I figured this out. I opened the default programs - Illustrator was missing a file type to associate with the program (why it showed the white icon with green bar). I assigned to the Illustrator file with the program Illustrator type. Turn it back on. Solved the problem... Yes!

It is a common problem with updates of .NET. Here are the steps I follow

    First try this...

Download and run the Microsoft .NET Framework repair tool , then visit Windows Update and let it try to reinstall updates. Once it's done, scan again with Windows Update to ensure that they properly installed.

If the above does not make it...

Open Add or remove programs, click on .NET 3.5 and choose repair. I got around to test if this fix actually .NET 2.0 and 3.0 of the .NET also, but it's worth it. I do not know if it can also cancel updates already installed .NET. If so, they will reinstall when you perform a Windows update that is the next step after the repair.

If the repair does not fix it, will add and remove programs and uninstall the .NET Framework 3.5, 2.0, then 3.0.
Visit Windows Update, select Custom scan and under software, optional install this...

It must be installed by itself. Windows Update will not let you do otherwise.

When he did install (I forgot if she asks for a restart or what not), scan again and all updates for .NET 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 of the .NET .NET must appear. Choose to install.
A new analysis to ensure that they properly installed.

If all goes well, that will solve the problems you face.

Make sure you come back and let us know which method worked for you or if you still have problems, I have to run a cleaning tool.

    Good luck!
