Problem of its satellite A110-153

Hello

When I connect to a box to the laptop and I have the cable plug, I hear a broom / sound. What can I do?

Hello

Here´s a link that describes exactly what is the problem:
http://www.elect-spec.com/faqgrdl.htm

You have to land your electric connection between the amplifier and the machine. That's all. Since it is a very broad topic I suggest you to go to www.google.com and type in the following words: "portable computer ground loop amp.

You should have many successes where the problem is described and solved. I would put some links on an other forums here, but I don't know how the admin´s here might react. ;)

Cheers and good luck

No error beeps, external display connected, no results at all.

    > Please help me, preferable with some Assembly manuals.
That is the main problem. As you know Maintenance manuals is not an announcement of a public document, it is not easy help with this. You know as well as Googling all about you can find many documents, discussions, descriptions or even short films how to proceed.

Google a bit autour and maybe get you lucky and find instructions how to disassemble your A110.
As a certified technician hardware PC, you know the disassembly procedure must / should be gift follows defined measures to avoid damage. Specific for laptops, it's that there are many smallholders plastic that can be broken if something goes wrong.

I hope that some owner of A110 will be there to give you good advice how to do this.
By the way: did you found new motherboard for your laptop?

  • Need your opinion on Satellite A110-153

    Hello

AI? m new here and here? m looking for a laptop. The A110-153 seems interesting to me.
Could someone give me more information as comments on what are the + and - of the product?
Also, I saw on a site that has this laptop has 2 hard drives. Is this true? I can't find it anywhere (toshiba.com). Also, I find that strange, I never heard that a laptop has 2 hard drives or disks.
CA? I think that s too bad that this laptop has an integrated video card.
What I want to do with the laptop is:
    -Internet
    -Ms office
-work with images (I have a digital camera and a digital video camera)
    -A small Photoshop

    What? s your advice?

    Hello

I found a few pictures of the Satellite A110-153 and in my opinion, the laptop is very nice
The laptop supports the processor Intel Core Duo (Yonah) T2050 1.6GHz and you can upgrade the memory up to 4 GB
I put t know where you found the information on 2 HDD, but as far as I know there's a single 100 GB HARD drive installed.

But I found a downside. The notebook support only an Intel 945GM 8-128 MB shared memory graphics card.
But not don t worry it s strong enough to work with photo and MS office applications.

  • Satellite A110-153: RAM upgrade Question

    Hello

I am the proud owner of a Toshiba Satellite A110-153 I've had for a few years.
I am interested in the upgrade of RAM but stumbled upon this controversy.

1 internal memory expansion module sizes are 256, 512, 1024 MB.
    2. maximum speed of the internal memory is 4 GB
    3. 2 memory slots.

Now, I would like to upgrade my laptop to the maximum 4 GB of RAM, but how can I do that when I'm not allowed to use 2 x 2 GB modules?

Is it humanly possible to upgrade my laptop to 4 GB?

    Thanks for the time.

    William.

    Hello

If you want to upgrade the RAM to 4 GB max you can use modules of 2 x 2 GB RAM!

The laptop must manage the DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) 200 - PIN SODIMM modules

But note; the 4 GB of RAM can be used by the 64 bit OS!
Win XP or Vista 32 bit would recognize as 3.2 GB!

  • On the problem of the Satellite A110-275 card reader

    Hey

Ive had a bit of trouble with my card on my A110-275 reader. Whenever I put an SD card, the light flashes to say he recognizes her, but no matter what I can't seem to load.

I know that's not the card because my father has a similar laptop and I have no problem whatsoever with his.

I was wondering if it could be the drivers? Anyone got any info on the place where to download?

    [Thanks:]

    Hello

Satellite A110 is old enough laptop model. Since when did you notice this problem with an SD card? Have you tested with different SD cards (different capacities)?

  • Problem of its satellite L750-1XK - work for 1-2 minutes then cuts

I have a Toshiba Satellite L750 1XK, my laptop is about 18 months old now

The problem I had is that the sound works for a minute or two and then cut! I saw a LOT of people in this forum have the same problem, but I'm yet to find a thread where the problem is actually solved.

As with most of the people with the same problem, I can plug in headphones and remove them and it works again briefly, but then turns off again. I tried everything I can think of. I don't know much about laptops, but I tried to reinstall the drivers, I checked the Device Manager to see if there were problems in there, but everything seems fine.

Then I thought that maybe my computer has too much stuff on it and, removed everything and defraged etc. and cleaned but still not working. So I decided to go a step away and actually restore laptop to factory settings, it all scratched and did install a clean windows and its still doing the same thing.

I have really no idea what to do now. Is this a hardware problem, if so it will be an expensive solution?

    > As with most of the people with the same problem, I can plug in headphones and remove them and it works again briefly, but then cuts off again

Had the same problem with my other laptop equipped with a card Realtek sound and I could solve this latest installation updated audio driver the Realtek driver page.

But it seems that your Satellite L750-1XK does not support Realtek audio chip but the Conexant audio chip.
Therefore, the solution could not be useful for you.

However, I suppose that there are two possible reasons for this:
    (1) failure driver sound
    (2) failure of the sound chip.

In case of malfunction of the audio driver, I recommend you to google for driver Conexant SmartAudio HD and test the latest version of the driver available. On the internet, I find the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver version 8.65.9.51 for Win 7 / 8 Win / Win 8.1

    To manually update your driver:

    1. go into the Device Manager (right click on my computer, choose manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel)
    2. right click on the device you want to update and choose Update driver software
    3. choose Select the location of the new driver manually and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the driver

In case of malfunction of the sound chip, you can try to use an external USB sound card.

  • Problems with its Satellite A300 controller

    Hi all!

I have a weird problem with my sound regulator in A300. When I use 'wheel' in front of the laptop, next to the headphones of entry etc., sound turns upward and downward very irregular - I try to turn up the volume and it jerks around a constant level of volume that ends at 10% of the desired level. I tried to reinstall the audio drivers but it did not work and overall, I don't know if there are other things I can do to solve this problem.

Can someone help me? Thank you.

    Using original pre-installed Vista?
On my Satellite A300, I use Win7 32 bit and it works well and properly.

  • Problem of its satellite A80 129

I bought the laptop Satellite A80-129 a few days ago. I decided to install Win XP Prof instead of Win XP Home, which came with the laptop. After installing all kinds of software, I noticed something weird. His knowledge was quite low.

I checked all kinds of possible parameters of volume everywhere and it is set to max everywhere possible. Also, I checked the volume on the laptop dial and it is also turned to MAX I installed WM Player 10, RealPlayer, Quicktime and Winamp 5.08.

After playing some of my music, I came across something interesting. While I was playing my music in Winamp, I also played a small video file in WM Player 10 and that's sound was really loud. Immediately I looked at which audio codec is used in this video and this is WMA 9 (64 kbit/s, 48 kHz stereo, (A / V) 1-pass CBR). When I stop the playback of this video, sound volume decreases again.

I also tried sound in other software such as RealPlayer and Quicktime, and only after I read this audio video gets really strong in all players. Any suggestions?

I would point out also that no matter if I play music (mp3, wav, audio CD..) or video (avi, mpeg, rm,...), audio is still low. Only after that I have play this specific video, the sound becomes strong to all players, playing music or video.

I also have problems with energy saver. If I install it, everything I write in the world is so slow, it appears letter-by-letter although I already wrote the entire sentence. If I uninstall, then everything is back to normal. Why is this happening?

I would really appreciate a response.

    Best regards, Kekec

    Hi Kekec

It's very strange because that all tools & utilities should work fine using Windows XP Home and Professional. Have you had all of these problems at the beginning with OS preinstalled by Toshiba? The original operating system provided by Toshiba included SP2. Have you installed it too?

  • Satellite A100-153 starts only occasional

    Hello

I have a big problem with my Satellite A100-153. It does not start regularly. When the laptop is turned off and I want to start again, I can press the button and the fan will also and it seems to start but the screen remains black. I can repeat this several times. When I have the chance to try it suddenly works and Notepad starts and I see "Toshiba" Logo
I see no reason for this odd behavior. It may be that it works really well and then I do a restart and then failure appears. All of a sudden. Without changing anything same not the position of the laptop. It is really strange.

My warranty went for years and so I don't know if I have to give it to a local repair service or if I should send it to Toshiba. Does anyone know how expensives who can get?

I don't know where is the problem. The display becomes competely white/white stripes sometimes appear. So I think it could be the graphics card but it works as long as I get it to start. And I also watched inside the laptop and everything seems to be fine.

Maybe someone can help me or give me advice on the service costs repair Toshiba in Germany.

  • Problem with Satellite A110

    Hello!

I've owned a Toshiba Satellite A110-275 since about 2 years ago, and this problem started happening about 1 year ago (I want to do it now).
Well, the problem is that when the computer is turned on, the screen freezes for about a second or two to the loading screen then the blue screen of death Windows appears. It is said that a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. It also says something like STOP: 0 x 842894749 0x923487yr9 etc I don't remember exactly what he read, but something like that.

It never connects, and I can't go on safe mode. I tried to reinstall windows that excited to logging on point (where you select a user, and then click its icon and wait that it connect to this account). When I clicked on a user, I waited a moment, although it didn't look like loading anything, maybe it was frozen, I turned my back for a minute or two then looked back to find the blue screen of death.

It is still under warranty, but I wanted to try and fix this myself as I need the laptop in a few days! Please, can someone help me with this?
    Thank you!

Have you upgraded your laptop Satellite a year ago? RAM or HARD drive?
