Problem of Pentecost audio m17x

Hi all.

I have buyed an Alienware m17x two years ago. In the last two weeks, often when my PC starts, the audio do not work. If I touch the symbol of the audio that has a Red Cross, the pc told me that are not connected headphones or speakers (which are inclused in my pc). After a reboot, the problem often goes away.

Someone knows something to solve this problem? More important, it is problably that in a few months, my audio will have more serious problem?

Thx for patience

PS I'm sorry for my English, I'm trying to do my best. Hope someone will understand me :)

Thanks for the reply.
Well, under the pc, there is only 'U17' but saw some pictures on the internet, I can say that my pc is probably a M17r4... The problem is the same as the previous link illustates... I'm not sure of my warranty period (how long, dell offers guaranteed inclused price?), but I remember that it was for two years, so I'm out of this period.
In two years of use, the problem never happens, so I'll wait to see how many times it happens and after that I tried to do something.
Is more important if the problem became final and I won't be able to listen to something forever (someone knows something about this situation?), because I'm a college student, so I spent all my savings on my M17 and I hope that it will stand up to years and years :)

Thanks for the patience and availability

  • Satellite U300-13U - iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration

Please can someone help me? I have a laptop U300-13U and that you have installed iTunes on it. However, when I open iTunes I get an error message saying 'iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration and may not play correctly' which is an understatement - it does not at all!

I uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime, but in vain. I have searched and exhausted the iTunes support boards but have nowhere either. The sound is fine as I can read CDs with no problems at all. The only suggestion I can get is that there may be a problem with the audio device magnet is not Apple and vice versa.

Does anyone have AN idea at all as to what might be going on here? I'm completely out of my depth, I'm just a simple girl who wants to play his music!

    Thank you so much.

    Hello

I don t use iTunes so I m not an expert player but first of all, you must give us some important information:
-What operating system do you use?
-Are you using the factory settings (Toshiba Recovery disk) or your own version of Windows
-Do you have the yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?

OK, iTunes says that there is an audio configuration problem so do you trying to update the audio driver? If this isn't the case, you should try it.
See the Web from Toshiba site for an update and see what happens. Then validate your result:

  • Problem with beats audio dv6-7010us

Hello. I have a problem with my audio beats. I have the HP Pavilion dv6 7010us laptop.

When I listen to music, suddenly its increases and decreases, it is not give his maximum. It is a very big problem for me. How can I solve this problem? I hope for your help. I think it is a bug with the software audio beats.

Reinstall the driver Audio IDT high definition (HD). This can be done from the Recovery Manager in Windows.

You can also install this driver for Windows 7 64-bit

An update may have caused the problem. Take a look in programs and features and updates select view installed to see if the audio driver has been updated.

    Hi MikeMcKayXE,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Quit other programs that may be using your sound device, and then try to play the file again.

Method 2: Install an updated driver.

Step 1: Firstly uninstall the audio from the device manager driver and Add / Remove Programs

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click Systemand click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

    c. to the title sound, video and games controller, check the sound card that is listed.

    d. right click on the sound card, and then click Uninstall driver.

Step 2: To see if an updated driver is available, use Windows Update or access the sound device manufacturer's Web site.

Follow these steps to do the same thing:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click Systemand click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

    c. the title sound, the video controller and games, make sure that the sound card is listed.

    d. right click on the sound card and then click Update driver to install the latest version of the driver.

    e. visit the sound card manufacturer's Web site to determine if a newer version of the driver is available for download.

Method 3: If you have multiple audio devices installed on your computer, try to use another. The selected audio device might not support Secure Audio Path (SAP).

When I start my laptop, within 5 minutes the sound stop working without giving me any message. When I disable Audio and activate again "Device Manager", he began to work, and then it works until the computer is turned off again. When I shut down my laptop and restart. the same problem occurs. I re - install Audio driver, but the problem persists. Please help me in this regard.

    Thank you

There was a recent update of Windows that causes havoc widespread with audio. I suggest you try the solutions for this first before trying other things. Here are the 2 solutions the members of the forum have reported so far.

    ===========================================================================

    1ST SOLUTION POSSIBLE
Countiss Forum member wrote that it is because of Microsoft...

"KB2962407 update, stipulating that she fixed"Shortcut autonomy when an inactive audio device is not turned off on a computer running Windows". ".
You don't have to do a restore of the system to get rid of updates; easier to go to Windows Update, view update history. On the top of this screen, click installed updates. "Then comes the with button the update you want to uninstall."

    =============================================================================

    2ND SOLUTION POSSIBLE
Natakuc4 forum Member says update to Windows 8.1 will fix it. He wrote:

"Ii you still on Windows 8.0." You should switch from 8.0 to 8.1 Windows Windows. See the instructions here:
    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Microsoft-Windows-and-Office/Download-Microsoft-Windows/upgrading-to-Windows-8-1-from-Windows-8-0-via-the-Microsoft-store/
Uninstall the audio and video drivers before the update. After the update, uninstall the network drivers and chipset and get drivers Windows 8.1 (WB64A).. »

You can get the drivers that he mentions, either from the support page for your model once you select 8.1 as the operating system in the area of selection, or you can get the Dell ftp server, where they are named 'WB64A' and 'WB32A', which means 8.1 64 bit and 32 bit.

    Hello

I realize has the inconvenience that you are having with your speakers that you get an error message while playing the songs. I will certainly help you to question.

  • Problem with the audio sampling during export

I'm having a problem with my audio sampling rate. For some reason, it is set at 8 khz by default when I export. It wasn't a problem until the last update (2 weeks ago). I'll try and give all the info I can to the front. I also tried customer support... which was a nightmare.

OK, the question that I address is that when exporting audio sampling rate is 8 kHz by default. Which to my knowledge has NO relevant use what so ever. Even when I set the file format to the h.264 format, he insists on the reset to 8 kHz. Even if I manually set all look rendering queue and click on output module again once it back the sampling frequency to 8 khz automatically of changes that I need to set it again. Why can it not only be fixed to 48000 like all other adobe products is and as it was two weeks ago. Does anyone have an answer?

This problem is resolved by update fixes after effects CC (12.2.1), which is now available:

I have no problem audio when you browse these websites with Internet Explorer though.

I assume that you have started the game and see the timer running?

You can click on the Volume icon in the Windows taskbar near the clock and click on the link to mix down to open the mixing console.

You can adjust the volume level for each application in this window, so make sure that Firefox is not set to mute or set at a low level.

Firefox uses the process of plugin-container to run plugins, check the volume control for the process of plugin-container.

You will see the program Firefox or the Plugin Container in the mixer if you are on a website that plays sound.

    Hi there @RandomProbllama,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, HP experts and other support staff.  I understand that the audio does not work on your computer after you reformat.  I'm happy to help you with this.

Looking at the page "Download drivers and software" HP ENVY 23 - d000el TouchSmart all-in-One desktop PC , I see that there are no specific drivers available for Windows 10.

Why did you reformat the system?

What method did you use to install Windows 10?

If you check in Device Manager, which appears in your sound devices?

Have you tried to remove any audio device and then searching for the hardware changes?

    Please let me know.
