Problem of satellite a50 wireless LAN

No apparent reason my wire will disable its self. This happens every day and a re-boot will fix it.

Hello

It is possible that the power options are set to turn off the Wificard to the battery mode!

Please check this box, the issue only appears in battery mode and look at the properties of your Wificard, then proceed to configure and advanced. There is a box on the power management!

Please check this and after again!

  • Satellite L750 - Wireless LAN is disabled, no my home WLAN connection

Hello, I have some problem with my Satellite L750. It has a called Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless adapter which seems to be in place.

When I turned on my laptop I noticed it was not connected to any network, so I searched and found that it could not find. I checked on my phone (on which I am writing this) and there is my network and many others who are available to connect and mine works great on my phone. I tried to reset the router and nothing happened, I could always connect on my phone and tablet.

I tapped into the wireless software and found the so-called "ConfigFree". In this, I found "Connectivity Doctor". He said that there was a problem with the adapter, and then, after having discussed below, I found he said that 'Wireless LAN Off' next to a red picture of a switch.

Does anyone know how to reactivate it?

You can activate WLAN card by using the FN + F8 key combination?

  • How to check my on Satellite L40 Wireless Lan driver

    Hello

I just formatted my Toshiba Satellite L402, and I noticed that I don't have an installed wireless local area network.
My question is; How can I detect my wireless lan driver?

    Hello

At the bottom of the unit, you will find different labels.
There is also a WLan card part number.
Take it, google about this issue and you need to determine which wireless network card has been installed.

    Hello

First of all, you should check if the wireless network adapter has been properly recognized in Device Manager.

Otherwise->, reinstall the WLan card driver
If Yes,-> check the TCP\IP protocol properties if everything on automatic

    I put t know how you have configured the wifi but there were two possibilities;
You used the Windows's own configuration options or you used a tool 3rd as Intel ProSet or Atheros client utility.

Generally, you should check all simple options such as the SSID, WLan encryption, mac address filtering, etc to know what s wrong.

  • Problem connecting to the wireless LAN.

My roommate and I just got wireless internet. She can connect without a problem by using his laptop, but refuses to my office. I have a B of Linksys Wireless USB adapter. Let's get our wireless network, he'll tell me that the network is out of range when I try to join. When I go to do it manually, it says "the network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters. "I read somewhere that WEP data encryption may have to be modified in the WAP format, but this format is not an option on my computer.  It seemed that I needed to download. If it's my problem, I have another question, how do I download something from the internet when the problem is that my computer does not have the internet?

The message about "5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters" means the WEP encryption (which is essentially no encryption as much as anyone other that the more casual intruder is concerned).  Yes, you should use WPA or WPA2 encryption, but your old wireless adapter may not support one of the people.

You most likely problem is that the wireless router is configured to use wireless-G only.  You must be the one controlling the router enter the configuration utility and set it to allow two G and B.  If you identify the make and model of the router, I can tell you how to do it--assuming you have access to the router.

You can consider buying a new wireless adapter.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=wireless+usb+adapter (read the comments before you select only on the price)

  • Some problems with Satellite A50

    Hi all

I HAVE A SATELLITE 50 RUNNING XP AND I LOST THE RECOVERY DISK TO DO A RESTORE OF THE SYSTEM BECAUSE MY USB PORTS ALL FOUR WORK STEPS AND MY DVD PLAYER THINK THAT IT IS JUST A CD PLAYER WHEN I LOOK IN DEVICE COMPUTER MANAGER SAYS I HAVE TOSHIBA DVD ROM SDR2512 AND PC WORLD HAVE CHECKED THE MATERIAL AND SAY THAT IT IS FINE BUT WHEN I PUT A DVD IN THERE HE JUST DOES NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT AND WILL NOT READ.

INTERDVD SOFTWARE AND I HAVE TRIED TO DELETE THE DRIVER AND TRIED TO ROLL BACK THE DRIVER BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK. MY USB HUBS DO NOT WORK AND I THINK THIS HAS SOMETHING DO WITH WHEN I LAUNCHED THE START OF SYSTEM CONFIG UTILITY I STOPPED TO LOAD THINGS BEGINNING AS MESSENGER AND OTHER STUFF I WAS NOT NECESSARY AND SINCE THEN CANNOT GET THEM TO WORK.

OH AND ONE LAST THING, ONE QUESTION, IF I BUY THE VISTA UPGRADE WILL BE HE DIFFICULTY ALL THE PROBS IN XP BUT KEEP ALL MY FILES FROM MY LAPTOP?
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICE

    ADAM SOON

    First of all:
I put t think reader problem is related to the software. It seems that the drive does not read the DVD because the wrong lens calibration
Generally there are not many things to do as a replacement drive

    Second
I think that the USB ports do not work due to the corruption of registry keys.
In my opinion after the installation of the new OS USB ports should work.

I don t think you will be satisfied with Vista on the laptop you A50 at this time because there are no Vista drivers for your laptop.
I recommend that you install the Microsoft CD XP or to order the new recovery CD. It s not very expensive.

Check if the BIOS update is available.
Only thing you can do is update the BIOS in the hope that everything will be OK.
I put t really know what else you can try.

Did you perhaps tested WLAN connectivity by router s friend?

  • With Satellite A50 wireless issues

    1. I have WIFI wireless internet, since a week I can net get on the internet, before everything was ok, the internet service provider said the connection with internet is ok,

2 - I try to write DVD (rw) and it doen not work - cd - rw is ok

    Hello

Grant you your post I assume you come in on the connection between the WLan router and the laptop. Am I wrong?
Why you n t reset the WLan router?
In my opinion, this should be a first step.

I recommend then disable WLan encryption and other security settings like filtering on the router WLan Mac address.
Try to establish the connection without this security option. If you're going to succeed then you can enable this step by step.

    With regard to the problem of DVD - RW;
Are you sure that the drive is capable of burning DVD - RW media?

I already have the latest drivers, but it's not helping...

    Thanks in advance

    DOM

Have you tried a BIOS update?
This you will find also on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

You have disabled all the security features for testing?
I mean hidden SSID, MAC address filtering and so far. Maybe that's the problem.

Check also if the router has the new firmware. You can find it on the site of the factory

    Hello

Basically, the WIFI connection can be configured using settings in Windows and it is not necessary to use a WLAN client software.
