Problem of satellite Pro A200 ATI display driver
Hello
Have the following problem: can not install the ATI software on my laptop. There is an error message during installation: «Catalyst Install Manager cannot initialize detection Manager»
OS - Vista Business
Graphics card - Mobility Radeon HD2600
Any suggestions?
Hello
You can try to use a different installation procedure;
-Unzip the ATI graphics card driver package
-go to the Device Manager and choose the graphics card
-Choose update driver, and then point to the Palace where the display driver package has been unpacked.
This should help renew and reinstall the graphics driver.

Satellite Pro A200 PSAFCA: need driver Lan and screen for XP
Hey
Please help me!
I just installed XP on my new satalite pro, but I had trouble with the drivers.
For the moment, I installed most but from this site, I can't seem to find a driver that will help my network card, or my video NIVIDIA player...any suggestions would be very valuable
The Satellite Pro A200 PSAFCA is unclear to me. I know the PSAE1, the PSAE4 and the PSAE7Satellite Pro A200. So could you please confirm your Pro A200 series?
If you do not find only XP drivers on the Toshiba page I would recommend checking the LAN and graphics chip installed on the motherboard and use drivers XP from the manufacturing of the chip.
If you need a graphic driver, I advise to use the drivers from the site www.omegadrivers.net or www.laptopvideo2go.com

Satellite Pro L20 PSL25E - Display driver required
Hello
I'm looking for a new display driver for my Toshiba Satellite Pro L20, model No. PSL25E. I can't find this driver on toshiba.com.
Right now I use Version 6.14.10.4332 of Mobile Intel (r) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express Chipset Family.
The problem occurs when you use opensource-progs like GIMP.
After a few minutes, the display switches gray while the laptop is still working?
Does anyone have the same problem or an idea how I can fix this problem? Thank you.
Micha
Hello
You have an Intel graphics card?
Well, try to use and to install the graphics driver on the Intel site.
If you will not be able to install it by running setup.exe, then try to reinstall the driver through the Device Manager.
Here, you can select the graphic card and choose Update driver
Use the advanced procedure, and then point to files of driver that you downloaded from the Intel page.Generally, the installation should functions that it worked on my system too.
Good bye

Satellite Pro A200 - peripheral display Hotkey Utility for XP is not available
I just got 6 x A200s (PSAE1E-00Q002EN). These have been pre-installed with Vista, however, because of the software platform in place in my institution, I've restored the operating system to Windows XP.
All the drivers installed fine form the Toshiba support pages and the standard image that we deploy for laptops was created. However, some features are unavailable in Windows XP.
Namely, the 'Fn' key for switching display device (like changing the brightness/touchpad market etc.). The ability to switch displays quickly and with a simple User Interface is vital for my users since it is a function, they perform several times a day, with many of them barely in computer science.
The Institute, I work for have bought a lot of laptop Toshiba (going to the Satellite Pro model from the early 1800s until A120s and A200s!) and until the A200s it was Windows XP - I hope as the Toshiba release a fix for this.
Hello
The FN keys don't work because of the problem of BIOS with Windows XP compatibility.
I assume that FN + F3 and F4 key combination functions.
This is a special function that belongs to the Toshiba Power saver and this help, you can switch to standby and hibernation mode!I put t know if you tried to update the BIOS, but maybe this will allow functionality Fn key!
But note; Update the BIOS is always risky! The bad BIOS or bad BIOS update procedure may damage the ROM module where the BIOS is stored!
Best regards

Satellite 1900-303: ATI Display Driver questions
My laptop broke down several times and incident analysis Microsoft told me that the problem is caused by the display driver ATI Mobility M6. I downloaded the drivers from the Toshiba site and the site of ATI but the installation cannot be performed because of missing files.
ATI do not provide support for laptops, and I'm running out of ideas - everyone else has had a problem like this?
When my system freezes the display becomes as a negative character size is expanded, and when I restart, I get the message that my system has recovered from a serious error.
I don't run games on my system, only photosoftware like Kodak Easyshare.Any ideas?
Hello
Usually, you should always use the graphics driver Toshiba because these drivers are designed for the use of the laptop. The other driver graphic s manufacturer, you can use on the desktop PC and not on the Toshiba laptop due to overheating problems.
You can also check other Toshiba laptops with the same graphics card if there is a newer version of the graphics driver.
Have you checked if the recovery procedure can solve this problem? If this isn't the case, then well, I think you should also check this possibility. Perhaps, it solves the strange question.
Good bye

Satellite Pro A200 (PSAF4A) - HARD drive stops and the computer crashes
Hello
It's my first post in this forum, but certainly not my first issue
I recently had to re - install Windows Vista on my laptop because I had an undetectable virus that attacked Windows and made him useless.
Before that, I had many, many startup errors and windows crashes, but which were preventable or fixable. After the re - install, I noticed that windows stability was much better until recently.I have not changed the settings or anything what so ever on my computer laptop which could affect the performance somehow, but I have a new problem.
If I have my computer running, performing tasks of base for a few hours I notice that performance and all of a sudden my computer completely stops responding.
The disk shows no signs of life after this point, and his only solution is a "disruptive Shutdown.
This appears in the reliability monitor and performance that all this, there is no input error, and nothing is done after.I also noticed if either windows defender or other my antivirus runs a system scan that my performance is reduced to the point where I can't run a simple task like opening an Explorer window. This also translates to total non-response. This never happened before a week ago and now it happens every time.
These two started within the past few days and there is no clear reasoning behind it. My inactivity of the processor is always the same, no new processors added and no settings changed.
This could be a problem with Windows, my HARD drive, my CPU or something worse?
Is there a reason why is happening and is there a solution either of these problems?
First of all, you reinstall Windows with the Toshiba recovery disc or disc of Microsoft?
It's strange and not easy to say what's wrong, but in your case I would test the RAM and HARD drive.
There are special tools to test the following:
http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
http://Memtest86.com/On the two Web site, you can download a CD image. Burn it to a CD, start with him and then you can test parts.
Good luck!

Satellite Pro A200 PSAE7: Where to find the driver for Win XP ATI
Hello
Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 PSAE7, I bought and it is with Vista on early. I decided to upgrade (/ downgrade) it to XP, but there is problem with the driver for graphics (Radeon HD 2600 Series).
I can't find anywhere ati drivers (in fact I found it on the site ati.amd.com, but on this forum that I read that Toshiba drivers are changed so that the Radeon is overheating) and I am wonderig if Vista that works under XP (I downloaded all the drivers but ati one)?
.. and is possible to downgrade my Vista to XP Pro through Miscrosoft website (or something like that) or do I have to reinstall using my old copy (provided with the old Toshiba)?
PS.
Sory for my EnglishPS2.
Is it so important to install the drivers in good condition? What do you mean by; There is a problem with the driver ATI XO?
The European driver Toshiba page provides all the necessary XP drivers and tools.
The ATI GPU driver came out too!An important note; If you want to install XP on this Vista machine, you must update the BIOS to the XP compatible version!
Regarding your question about the downgrade from Vista to XP Pro via Microsoft site;
Short answer; No this is not possible!

Satellite Pro A60: Break guard ATI display driver
I've had my Sat A60 laptop pro for about a year now.
I had a few problems with it since I got it, but the main problem is to occur in the last 6-7 months. The ATI display driver guard break and in order to make it work, I have to restart the system. This has been a problem persisting for some time and it is now quite irriating. He does the most embarrassing times as when I watch a DVD or listen to a CD.
Sometimes, when I put the computer in mode standby, the screen doesn't even start again and the screen remains blank. In order to sort this point I have to turn off the laptop and then restart it. The main problem that I put this down to an overheating, as it can become quite hot when I use it.
So, I know how to fix this problem, simply by turning off the dust from the fans. But if there is no alternative to this help please.
Thank you!
Hello
For most overheating occurs because of the dirt and dust inside the cooling modules. Fans may not work properly and can not turn with a maximum return.
I think you should check the fans. I think that the best way to clean the fans is to use the hose of vacuum cleaner against the fan grids.About the display: in your case I would recommend you first update the display driver. Additional if the operating system is running for some time on the laptop then maybe a new installation of OS form the Toshiba CD recovery would help.

Satellite Pro A200 - 1 MI - need driver for PCI memory controller

When I go to Device Manager it shows the question mark in the tab other devices and when I go, it is yellow? (question mark) and! (typical brand) to the PCI memory controller. I took and downloaded all the drivers of your site:http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU
for XP, but I'm not sure what kind of driver do I need to install for PCI controller memory, it is driver bios or something else? I just need to know what to install to overcome this problem with my device manager and the PCI memory controller.
Thanks in advance!Hello akibono
I imagine that you have installed Windows XP Home clean on your laptop and now you want to install all the drivers, tools and utilities. Am I right about that?
In any case, after the installation of Windows XP Home edition you install all the drivers, tools and utilities in the order of the specific facilities. After doing this, everything should be OK and every hardware component will be correctly configured.
Please install all the stuff as follows:
WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION
Driver Chipset
Display driver
Audio driver
Driver modem
Storage Manager
LAN driver
Touchpad driver
WLAN driver
Toshiba Assist
Flash Media driver
Driver webcam
Hardware configuration
Controls
And so onI hope that everything will be OK.

Satellite A200 - install display driver
Hello
I have a Satellite A200 (PSAF6A 02Q01N) which has recently crashed after a Windows Vista downlaod. I managed to make a recovery disc and run it again, but now the resolution of the monitor is only available in 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600. That is why the screen is all tense and the resolution is terrible. I tell myself that I need to download and install a new driver and I think I found it. The firs ATI Display Driver listed on this page
http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/A200/psaf6a-02q01n/download?OS=15
I downloaded it and guess I must run the installation of the BIN directory Manager. Can anyone confirm that it is correct?
Thanks in advance,
VIC
Stand by. If I understand you right, you have this resolution problem after installation of operating system using original disk recovery facilities.
I understood you right?
