Usually, a backup file is created in the My Documents folder with the extension .ipd. If you can not find, search the hard drive of the computer.

    I just got my Torch 9800 replacement since my first only the battery was drainning (apparently a common problem).

    Until I returned my old Torch 9800 I backed up and also used the device switch option in Desktop Manager. When it asked me to connect the new device, I unplugged the old camera, he took to the shop orange and then plugged my new camera.

    Then an error has occurred and asked me to update the software on the new device. I did it... and then when I use switching devices, it asks me to connect the current device but the problem is... I don't have the camera more.

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Steps I took to get my system working again.

    -While the installation worked, I selected "forget device" in the menu of the device.

    -Done a complete uninstall of the software of Office BB, including user settings. (A reboot is necessary)

    -Download a new copy of BB 7.1 desktop software.

    -Installed software, reconfigured synchronization Organizer and everything works fine now.

    HIII everybody... I use bb9320curve with os 7.1, until a few days back everything worked well, in my opinion if it was my friends or community mailer. Then due to several reasons, I disabled my internet connection for a week, now, even once, I enabled the internet, I received a message that in 20 minutes I start receiving my notifications by e-mail, but nothing happened. I have not received all messages on my phone (but a lot through my Inbox in regular line).  I tried to reboot, perform a hard reboot by removing the battery while on and so far nothing has worked.     Different carriers have different levels of plans so make sure you tell your carrier you want to do on your phone so that the right plan can be proposed to you.

    BlackBerry Desktop Manager is actually called Black Berry Desktop Software. I think App World is a required application and it is grayed out in the list of applications, you can add or remove.
