• Problems connecting WAG54G2

  I have a WAG54G2 and I'm trying to update the DNS settings on the router. I put in the new details, they record without any problem. However when I disconnect/connect or reboot and check the status page they do not seem to be updated. However if I go back to the Setup page the new DNS settings are there.

  I had a good hunt on Google and forums but can't seem to find anything useful.

  If you are having problems with your Linksys ADSL2 + Gateway (WAG54G2), then you should definitely look forward to update its firmware... If your gateway WAG54G2 works very well without giving you any problem so do not upgrade it...

  Any attempt to improve a system that already works is useless...

  I have an ADSL Broadband BT currently with a wired router provided bt active. Wanted to go wireless so I bought the WAG54G2. I plugged as suggested on my desk and on the router 'installation', I get green lights on 'power', 'ethernet port', 'Wireless' and 'read '. I don't understand not 'internet' - it is not lit. After several minutes, the installation fails. A cell phone compatible with additional wireless in the House can see the 'open network', but I can't continue the installation on the main computer to configure the gateway. The error suggest I check connections and try again.

  We then tried to install the bridge on another laptop incase it was the dekstop who had a problem, but we get the same problem.

  I have BT Broadband basic service.

  Any ideas - is there a known problem with this router and Broadband BT?

  I bougth one annex-B WAG54G2, because I use ADSL on ISDN (residing in the Luxembourg) and my internet provider pointed out, I'd need to buy a modem ISDN.

  I plugged the gray cable to the modem of the ISDN splitter Jack like I did with my old modem (a SpeedTouch 516i), but the DSL led do not illuminate, either I don't get an internet connection. I tried to use my old modem cables, but that didn't change anything.

  But just maybe, it was not correct to buy Appendix B after all... my old modem uses a small phone cable (think they are called R11?) but the Linksys modem uses the big cable. • Problem on a Mac C6380 wireless connectivity

  Last week, I bought Photosmart C6380 AiO and implemented with almost no problems at all. Then I started noticing the same question as others on this forum have experienced in this abandoned rnadomly conntection, which would be only seemed determined by power cycling the printer and the Mac. I have since tried to uninstall and re-install all software related and have even updated the Firmware to see if this solves the problem without having to turn everything off and then whenever I want to print.

  The problem I have now is that I can't connect wireless to the printer AT ALL. I perfectly connects to the router and the wireless network Test report shows that everything seems to work fine, but then my Mac does not see it at all. The only small problem is that it is the address IP begins with 169.264, who, in another post about Wi-Fi-Guy here, says "but if it starts with 169.254 or 0, then we have another problem to deal with."

  So, I wonder if anyone can help with what to do about it?

  For now I'll have to work with a USB cable hanging out on my desk, that wasn't really the plan behind getting a wireless printer.
