Problem of Windows 7 on my Satellite C660-1F1

I have a kind of small software problem on my laptop. When I turned it on, it showed a message with options to launch repair system (recommended) or start windows normally. I chose the first option, as seems to be the recommended option and I thought that it could fix if there is damage. However, after the repair process is finished, it showed an error with the steps to install Windows. I get this message now, every time I turn on my laptop!

Since I was the pre-isntalled software on my laptop, I don't have the Windows 7 disc with me. It's really strange that I'm not sure why this happened.

Even though my laptop is covered by the warranty, I don't know if it covers the software warranty too?

Please can someone advise me on how best this problem.

its really very painful and irritating to deal with this, as long as its been just 5 months since I bought this laptop.

Looks like something went wrong with the operating system installed.
Don't know why, but it seems that you need to reinstall the windows once more.

You do not have all the disks because the laptop supports the recovery of HARD drive and it was / is an option to create an own recover disc.
You can use the recovery disc creator software to create these discs
But do not know if it would be possible today due to the error

  • The problem of Satellite C660-1F1

    My satellite C660-1F1 has load problems.

    It started with the yellow light flashing one a message "plugged in don't not load" it is now completely out of charge and fires almost every time that I try to start.

    If I remove the battery and use just electric 2 green lights come on but it cuts during the boot process too.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Hmm... looks a bit like a motherboard problem.
    I think that the adapter is OK because the power led is lit if you plug the laptop on the sector...
    I'm not thinkt that the issue could be related to battery failure because if the battery would be affected, then the laptop must always run connected to the power adapter (in mains mode).

    So, it seems that the problem may be caused by dysfunction of the motherboard...

    A question: is your BIOS up-to-date?

    Toshiba Satellite C660 1F1 my son with Windows 7 Home Preium will not run Minecraft and creates a dump of notification and error with Java runtime environment.

    Yesterday, I wiped the laptop with the recovery disk and installed all the latest drivers etc for a clean system as it has been very slow. I was hoping that this may have erased the old problem.

    I downloaded the latest version of Java, tried the 64-bit version as the Lpatop seems to be running a 64 bit OS, but I don't think that browsers are Java 64 bit test did not work and also some of the most common suggestions on the bulletin boards Minecraft. such as:--

    Yes, one of the solutions could be the cleaning of the cooling fans.
    Dust and debris inside the unit and cooling modules may affect the functionality of fan.
    The air circulation could be affected too then remove the dust using a jet of compressed air.
    Its good tool to get these issues resolved without separate laptops.

    I agree with BobRock_1. All the drivers and tools that you can find on the official website of Toshiba. Your model is compatible with Windows XP. :-)

    But before starting with the installation of the drivers, I recommend the installation of Service Pack 3 for XP. It contains many security updates and also two patches for the sound card you need. Otherwise, you are not able to install audio driver properly.

    You can download SP3 from Microsoft's official website. The installation is no problem, everything is done automatically. :)

    If yes try to start and check whether the HARD disk access is possible.

    Before you try this BIOS setting defaults.

    I'm going to replace the hard drive in a portable 3.5 years old.

I guess that I do not have need of each of them, but none of them stand out as specific needs.

    It would be the worst case, because the new motherboard is really expensive: about 300

    I just upgraded my Toshiba Satellite laptop to windows 8 and having a problem with my Matshita DVD-RAM UJ890AS. In Device Manager, I got the error "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19).     All you have to do to avoid this error, code19 is to uninstall Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator and Toshiba Recovery Disk reminder. I thought that it had been uninstalled before that I've updated but I was wrong. I just uninstall both and hey presto it works :)
