Problem on windows 10 update download

I am currently using Sony Vaio E Series with windows 7 Home Basic and is upgrading to windows 10, windows update showed that total 2613 MB is available for download. But when I checked my use of net data he showed more than 5 GB downloads and download windows 10 process was still 38%. There is no other application using the net. What is the problem?

Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

There are various reasons for default update which include a firewall/antivirus intervention, conflict of software of third party, or because of a hardware incompatibility problem. To discover the root cause of the problem, I suggest to refer to the information provided in the following threads and check if that helps.

I suggest that you restart the computer to boot and check if you are able to upgrade to Windows 10.

Method 1: Run the clean boot

Place your system in the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: See "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.

Refer to the Windows 8.1 steps, where they apply to Windows 10.

Method 2:

Follow the steps in the help given articles.

How to: a list of things to do if the Windows 10 install fails.

How to: solve the Setup and stop common mistakes during the Installation of Windows 10

Warning: Antivirus software helps protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable/uninstall your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software and/or any relevant issue, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks by malicious software.

Let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

Microsoft Update fails to install updates and provides no information whatsoever (other that the installation has not of course).
But the only update I could not go to Microsoft Download Center (fromwhich I could install (nearly) all updates Microsoft Update do not reach), is an update to Windows Security Essentials, which is registered on Ms Update but not available from the Ms Download Center, and which is not detected by Win Security Essentials Update button (this show error code is 0 x 80240022).

Too late now, my friend.  Running another repair facility - even if you can uninstall IE8 (which you can not according to your last post) - won't fix everything.

Your only recourse now is to a format the hard drive & then (b) make a clean Windows installation.

My OS is Windows 7 Home and I want to upgrade to Windows 10. However, as I update all necessary upgrades by using Windows update, Internet Explorer fails. I wonder too, I have the app for windows 10 Get, but it crashes immediately after the launch. After the experience I uninstalled the KB3035583 to remove the application. Some say that I have the IE11 to solve this problem. The problem is that when I try to download the updates, Windows 10 is download only. The rest No. I pressed as the GET has started to button, simply download windows 10 and then fails to install (maybe because I don't have the windows application 10 get in my notif bar). • Printer problem after Windows XP updates on 06122013

Title updates: Windows XP original on 06122013

Updates of Windows XP on 06122013 seemed to make me lose contact with printer HP LJ1200 and had to perform the restoration of the system to 06112013 do work again. The printer is set up as a parallel device, running on Port DOT4_001 (according to article of Port in the properties of the printer) and was removed in the LPT1 Device Manager and computer rebooted and reloaded LPT1.
Tracking the whole Troubleshooting MS system under properties and nothing seemed to allow printing, so I restored the machine on the eve. Now the printer works.

Computer is a Xeon E1395 of double a ASUS PC - DL Deluxe Intel

Everyone still faces a problem of printing with the new updates?

    Hi Michael,

I see you got a problem with printer HP LJ1200 after installation of updates recently offered from Windows update.

What exactly happened when you were trying to print after the recent updates? Have you received an error message?

Thanks for the sharing of information when you perform a restore as solved the problem.

This issue would have occurred as a result of updates related to the printer or the additional updates to the hardware device connected to the computer. Sometimes, when these problems occur after Windows update, we should always check the specific updates that have been installed right before the problem occurred. In this way, we can identify the update that caused the problem.

As the problem does not persist now, I suggest you to download and manually install the updates individually to determine the exact cause of the problem.

Please let us know if you need help on this question.

  • Problems with Windows Vista update error code I get is Code: 80096001

    Hi gang,.

I need help I can get at this point. I am currently working on a machine to a customer who had the rootkit zero.access top. The machine works like a champ, now that it is all clean; but for some reason any Windows Vista refuses to update. Let me mention the operating system before proceeding. The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. When I try to run Windows Update, the machine has a total of seven updates to install; This is especially important and option. In the important section, the machine is trying to install a security update and that is 9. In the optional section, the machine is trying to install the driver as updates: video, network, etc. The PC is already running Service Pack2. The error code I get is: 80096001. I tried every fix that Microsoft recommends, even the Microsoft Fix It tool. Nothing seems to work. I had a simular problem before in Windows XP. If my memory is good, I had to go to the entry in the registry of Windows Update and apply a DWORD here, or something; I don't remember exactly what I did. I can tell you that I checked the registry and there is literally no key to change in Windows Update. Any help or advice would be great, this question is about to drive me crazy.

    Thank you

You can reset the Windows Update components, but If the malware is present on the system update will still be blocked by the malware.

  • Problem installing Windows Security Update. Not installing - KB2467175

I have a problem when you install the update of security for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2467175). Everybody out there to provide a solution for this? Am pretty tired after trying all possible solutions, I can and in vain. Problem is that this particular update is not proceed with the installation even after you try to install it manually also. Impossible to solve this problem. Ask for help from you people.

Please note: Tested on a PC running Windows Vista 64-bit Version.

I found a solution for this problem and fixed it. I don't know how it would work for others. May give it a try because it will not harm you in any way.

I tried to make all possible suggestions found on the net, but none has proved that my way then went on my own way.

First of al the update of security for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package comes with updates of Windows 5.6 MB file size which means (to my knowledge) to install two Versions of this update of 32 and 64-bit Versions on 64-bit PC running. This particular update the Versions of it needs to be installed and not a particular Version of the update. The size of the file for 32-bit would be 2.6 MB and 64-bit is 3.0 MB, once the combination comes only 5.6 MB. You can find the download on the link below and download Versions. You have 64-bit the second and 32 bits as the 3rd on the download page. I first installed the update then with the 32-bit and the 64-bit Version and finally managed. Please find the link to download the update manually from Microsoft site
