  Yes, you can use the freeware software nLite to build your own windows CD and include the various drivers.

  With regard to the point:

  (1) I think you should google for nLite, because much useful documentation and instruction how to use the program nLite.
  (2) If your laptop supports the RAID drive I would recommend including only the RAID driver. Other drivers, you can install after the installation of Windows operating system
  (3) nLite is ok
  (4) you can order the new collection of EPA, which is responsible for your country.

• Need help with my Toshiba remote control and receiver for Qosmio G30 161

  Hi all

  I have a Toshiba Qosmio G30-161 and with her, I have a Toshiba remote and a Toshiba remote control receiver, this is the first time that I used it (tried of that is), my problem is that the remote control does not work on the computer, when I press keys on the computer program does nothing.

Can anyone help I need the remote control for the slide shows for clients like ja? m a photographer.

  This remote will work, if you use it without any special drivers and special software, only in the Media Center.

  But if you install stuff like [WinLirc | winlirc.sourceforge .net] then you should be able to get some functions for your presentation.

  Please try this tool and check if it works.

  By the way: if I were you I would first read the manual and the WinLirc FAQ before you start because it s a little bit tricky to manage the program. :) (Too many parameters: D)

• Qosmio G30-161: cannot receive the signals of TV in MCE

  I recently bought the Qosmio G30-161 and have problems with watching TV via the media library. I get an error message that there is no signal. However another TV tuner I installed separately I'm not having any problems.

  I read somewhere that this could be solved by installing the last disc of tv tuner. If anyone can confirm this? If Yes, when I try to download the player from Toshiba online support, which comes in a file zip, after extracting it I don't see an option to install it.

  Well, the Qosmio G30-161 should be delivered with two hard drives of 60 GB.
  I guess you can see a single HARD disk due to the RAID settings.
  The unit supports RAID technology.
  I think that the RAID is on the mirror. This means that the data is duplicated on both disks.
  Generally, it should be possible to disable the RAID.
  Check the folder utilities Toshiba.

  PS: It is possible that you will lose data after changing the RAID settings. Be careful.

  Sorry but I don't understand your problem. You wrote just HD-DVD, it does not work. What exactly do you mean? The optical disk drive does not work or you can't watch HD-DVD movies?

  The last time I tried to reinstall the product recovery things was wrong.
  The time where computer supposed to install windows then a blue display screen and stops the process and I get a black screen where there are three choices: start windows normally, or with the command prompt or networking safe mode.
  When I tried safe mode: I get a message that windows is not yet installed!

  When choose ok then the windows install see the screed for a few seconds and then the blue screen appears and disappears a few seconds and the windows on the screen appears as if the system will be installed, and after a few seconds, I get the same - back screen with the choice of the tree again.

  I tried several times to use the product recovery disc and enter in the same circle.

  Are you sure you have booted from the recovery disk?
  This seems strange to me that you get the back same screen (start windows normally, or with the command prompt or networking safe mode) when you start drive recovery.
  These three options are displayed only if the laptop would be started from HARD drive.
  So please try to boot from the CD again.
  Insert the CD, turn on the unit, press F12, choose ODD as a source of start-up and follow the instructions on the screen.

  If this is not possible, then I would recommend the HARD drive.
  I recommend Drive Fitness Test. This software freeware s (google).

  Perhaps something went wrong with the HARD drive.

  The year last January or February my friend give me his newest Qosmio G30. I ve used a month. I've install my favorite games and I also used it to scan all my movies of course done.

  The laptop has been pre-installed with Vista, but we have also installed Windows XP Home edition on the second partition to check the performance in the two operating systems. WXP works perfectly and after some personal configurations that Vista was also good working operating system. I recorded a hours of movies, he coded and burned about 20 DVDs. So I hope you believe me that this laptop has been uninterrupted on the race. Encoding is not short and portable process runs almost 24 hours a day.

  After a month of use I didn't noticed anything negative and I can say that the Qosmio G30 is a fabulous laptop. Unfortunately a bit expensive for me.
  I don't know what you're doing with expensive products, but I always buy the extended warranty to avoid a risk of material damage. I don't want to pay for costly repairs. For my new LCD TV I paid about 130 euros for 2 years warranty. Now I don't what will happen over the next 4 years.

  Thus, everyone has their own way how to use laptop and to discuss the system collapse, lose the work during treatment, slowing my productivity is not so easy. Who knows what applications, freeware or shareware you stuff use? Who knows what make your system unstable?

  I use my Satellite 17 nearly 2 years of work and private things and I always use original preinstalled Vista. Why I don't have this kind of problems?
  This with scratches on the screen is too strange for me. I wonder how this can happen. After closing the cover of the display, the screen is protected and there is no chance to make scratches on it.

  One last thing: maybe I didn t understand you well, but what is your problem with the driver updated, updated BIOS or corrections? Each laptop manufacturer offers different updates or upgrades to improve performance, better security, or functionality of the software. Toshiba do this too and this process would not present yesterday, but for years.

  Sorry mate, a side that I understand your wish to discuss all of these negative issues but just blame laptop manufacturer for every stupid thing is not understandable for me. According to me, you know a lot of people say that PC 80% disorders are not result of bad hardware/software, but because nobody who are sitting in front of it.

  What to say at the end? If possible, buy extended warranty to be on the safe side, try to have the right operating system, from time to time do the backup data, make sure that the laptop is placed correctly on the desktop to avoid overheating and I'm sure you'll use your Qosmio for a long time.

  Indeed many applications is not compatible with the Vista at the moment!
  I would recommend the Vista installed on one separately on a second partition and let the XP on the first partition C.
  In this case, you can use the two s OS, XP and Vista!

  Take a look at the Toshiba driver page. There are some drivers Vista for G30.

• Qosmio G30-161 does not start - NTDLR "file is missing

  I have a G30-161 double HDD (in Raid 1) which no longer starts...
  He just gives the message "file NTDLR is missing" and is followed by a prompt to restart the computer in which the same error will appear again.

  I got this laptop for my son to fix (lucky me :(!)

  Things, I've looked at so far:

  -Check the BIOS to see if the disks are configured properly - BIOS indicates the two hard drives installed, online and in RAID 1
  -J' had an installation of Windows XP by hand disc then tried to see if it would boot from a CD. He started on the CD ok, but the process Windows Recovery Console/install said he couldn't find any hard drives. Find an Acronis True Image boot disk (using linux I think), once again the started program end, but don't have it no hard drives installed.
  - So with no HD not reports I took one for a test. With disk 2 removed, in an attempt to start the system reports "RAID 1 is GRADIENT" then follows with "NTDLR file is missing. So this tells me that SW RAID working probably and he knows that a HD has been removed.
  All the patches I've read on the PC forums involve the use of the XP Recovery CD or some, but it won't work because the system thinks there are no disc when it starts. We have no ' have a Toshiba Recovery disk for the machine.

  Someone at - he saw the problem above, knows a fix?
  Can I purchase a G30-161 recovery CD anywhere?

• Qosmio G30 - 161 corrupt brilliant graphics in games

  I have a G30-161. Whenever I load 'Far Cry' I see graphic corrupt brilliant. I can fix it by changing the screen resolution, and then come back, but I don't know why it happens or is it a fault.

  I also saw it in Half Life 2: Episode that they produce only when I get back to the desktop and then switched back to the game - seems to be something to do with the refreshing screen - can anyone help?

  (I'm running the latest Toshiba driver card chart but it is from February and drivers Nvidia settles more recently)

  You can try the driver for the HD DVD version of the G30. I think they have the same graphics chip.
  The HD-DVD version of the G30 (PQG31E-XXXXX) has a newer version of the driver.

  I have my G30-161 "HDMI" output as well as the analog out. I began to find a cable to connect it to the DVI to a TFT monitor, but seem to have trouble identifying which is the end "HDMI" cable connection. Does anyone know the formal classification of HDMI connector (or a UK power cable) I can be sure I buy the right cable?

  Have you used the key FN + F5, this combination of keys control the Toshiba screen utility switch device use as that buttons together and you should be able to get the different display options.
