Problem printing HP Deskjet 895Cxi

I bought a printer cable, USB-parallel (printer connection) in order to print from my laptop to a printer HP Deskjet 895Cxi (connecting to the computer).  My operating system is Windows Vista.  I installed the printer driver, then peripheral system is ready for use.  I sent a doc to the printer (several times) but not logs of printing and printer "print - error".  I checked "printer troubleshooting" but could not find the cause.  I reinstalled the driver a couple of times and also rebooted my computer.

If anyone has had this problem or knows what could be causing the error?

USB-parallel converters are problematic for Vista, I've heard many cases where they have not worked and very few where they do.

The Deskjet 895 has a USB connection, it is not necessary to use a converter.  You can connect a cable directly, as shown on page 18 of the Manual here.  The USB connector is just above the parallel port on the printer.  I suggest to disconnect the USB / parallel, go to the Printers folder and delete the DEskjet 895, then plug the USB cable from the printer and Vista should automatically install the printer.

    From what you wrote, you indicate that you have tried some troubleshooting on the web.  Have you tried to download the Print Diagnostic Utility?  This utility allows to resolove issues 'offline' for you, and if it isn't there are additional steps to try.  I posted a document from the product support site to try.

    The document contains the Print of Diagnostic Utility as one of the first steps to try; just add in the document on the operating system you are using.

    This problem has been resolved. It was my router D - Link DIR-615 which was causing the problem all the time. When I changed the router to another at the beginning of the printer stop normally.

    I have problems printing multiple copies on my 6988 Deskjet Windows 8.1. I tried to print several copies of a PDF document as well as an Excel spreadsheet, but all I get is a copy. It seems that I must go to the printer properties and set the number of copies here.

    I understand that you have a Deskjet 6988 which is not allowing you to print multiple copies, unless you go to the properties of the printer. I will definitely do my best to help you with this.

    Because the driver you are using is an OS driver, which means it is integrated into the operating system, it will be less characteristic than a full pilot of features. I will suggest that you run your Windows updates to make sure that everything is up to date, but others, while it looks like everything works as it should.

    I have a printer HP deskjet 3050 all-in-one series J610 which I use with Windows Vista Version 6.0 (Build 6006: Service pack 2).  The connection is by USB port.  I have not used the printer for a while, but did all the maintence checks & it's good to go.  When I want to print a letter the only thing that is printed is the e-mail address that is blue in color.  I think the problem is in the settings of the features of the printer.  I can print the letter in gray scale, but it is not easy to read and is not suitable for business relationships.

    I would appreciate help with this problem.  A definition of the terms used in the features of the printer can help me to solve it in myself.

  • HP Deskjet 2540: Wireless printing problems with HP Deskjet 2540

    Hi all

    I have a problem with a printer HP Deskjet 2540 - it prints if I connected a USB cable; However, he refuses to print if I try to print wireless.

    I had initially solved this problem when I went into system preferences > printers and Scanners and noticed two 2540 Deskjet series icons in a window titled 'Printers '. I ended up removing one of these icons and set it as a default, which temporarily seems to solve my problem. Now, I see two icons back in the "Printers" menu and my printer refuses to print over my wireless connection.

    My printer is connected to my internet connection so I don't think there is a problem here - I also recently installed the software for this printer to make sure it wasn't some kind of driver issue; However, it doesn't give me the permanent solution, that I'm looking.

    Any advice? My operating system is OS X Version 10.9.5

    Please come back to me and let me know what you have tried.  I found an article by HP which has a more in-depth approach to troubleshooting your network configuration.  Click on the title of the article and start of Solution 2 and work your way down until finish you setting up your printer successfully:

    I recnetly bought a Windows 7 system and I have a HP Deskjet 895cxi printer attached to my network via a HP JetDirect device.  The support page says that I should join the pronter to PC via the USB cable and let windows automatically update install the printer driver appropriate "basic" functionality.  My problem with this is that this printer does not support a USB connection.  The PC does not have a serial port on it isn't an option either.  Can I get stressed the appropriate driver so that I can be available for the installation process?  Thank you

    In fact, the Deskjet 895 has a USB port, it may be partially hidden by the back flap but is just above and on the right side of the parallel port.  It should not be necessary to use this to isntall the printer driver.  Deskjet 895 drivers are available through Windows Update, you can do the following: go to the folder devices and printers, add printer, a local port, say LPT1 (for now...), then when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right. After several minutes, a printer updated list should appear, at this point, you can cancel the on install, then stable using the appropriate port.

    Thanks for the reply.  In fact, the problem was one of those irritating coincidences that happens; both the cartridges of printers had given up at the same time, just at the time that I turned off the printer.  New cartridges made me back in action.

    I've also acquired one of these fine printers and he have set aside for the day where my only current fails seriously!

    Running Win 7 and used to have an all-in-one HP Deskjet 4200. All print very well, but was not really happy with the photos. In any case, recently bought a HP 3520 and am having problems printing. Still using the same computer (Asus) and Microsoft Office software.

    That is the problem. When I select either normal or draft mode, the page displays two lines, ignores the three following, then repeat. This happens no matter what type of document that I use. In optimized mode, it prints very well. Of course, which also uses the ink more. Is there some hidden settings that I'm missing? I even tried to install it on another computer running XP and the same question.

    HP technology doesn't have a lot of help, and I reinstalled the software, realigned the print heads and made a double cleaning.

    Does anyone know why the shortcut of printer HP Deskjet 2050 has more estimated ink level functionality?  That is until 05/12/12, and now the entire window has changed. "Now it has only the options to 'See whats printing' and 'Customize your printer' Set preferences.  I can't find any reference to the updates that may have changed, so I have no restore points.  The only thing that has changed recently is the new version of the HP Support Assistant.  This would have an effect on the printer software?

    Problem solved by downloading lasted driver according to the instructions.

    I recently bought a printer HP Deskjet 3050 all-in-One series, scanner copier J611 a.  My operating system is Vista 64.  I received the error message is "Scanner not connected to the computer."  Everything worked, and then all of a sudden the scanner no longer works (print and copy of the works).  I tried to use the printing HP and Dr. Scan to try to solve the problems, but it did not help.  I also tried other solutions I found on the HP site.  Finally, I just uninstalled and reinstalled.  It did not help.  I can still print and copy but will not scan.  I need the scanner, more than anything I have an another printer/copier HP that I can use.

    I tried to analyze using the Wi - Fi connection but couldn't. I have not tried to use MS Paint. I saw in another thread, the proposition that, using a key USB cable might work and I tried it and it worked. It's a little embarrassing, but the key is that I can scan now. Thank you very much.

    I understand that you get a message to open the output tray or a similar message on your Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515. I hope to help you!

    Try to open the exit tray and ink cartridge door.

    Then close the print cartridge door.

    Do a power reset to see if that will solve the problem:

    Press the power button to turn the product on.
    With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
    Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
    Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
    Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
    If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

    Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.

    I read the specs of the printer before buy you. It is said that the printer can print A4 size. but they do not mention on a Cup at the end of the book.

    My question is:

    • what I can do about the problem? (I tried the regional and language settings, but it does not work)
    • is this hardware problem or a software problem?
    • Can I get my warranty to be replaced by a new and fixed? How?

    The technical specifications list the print margins, the printer may not exceed the margins you can find listed in the paper handling > print margins:

    As you can see below in the section of handling paper, borderless printing is not supported for the printer:

    This is not a defect, these are the limits of the printer that you can find listed by its specifications.
