Problem removing battery bluetooth / hidden devices / unpublished COM ports

Hello
Having problem completely remove Toshiba Bluetooth stack / hidden devices / unpublished com ports

I uninstalled Toshiba BT s/w...

But:

(1) peripheral BT Toshiba hidden appear again and I can not remove (get the error)

(2) the COM ports occupied by Toshiba BT not out (so they cannot be used by another pile of BT) and always appear in the registry
ex: friendly name Toshiba BT Port (COM4) always in the registry

(3) these new com ports do NOT appear in Device Manager

Thank you

What COM ports are actually used (must be used) by your current system?

  • Cannot install windows 8.1 - must remove battery Bluetooth for windows

Hi, I tried to install my windows 8.1 update, but it always returns the message that it cannot do until I have uninstall my "bluetooth stack for windows.

I followed several guides for this, which is pretty easy to do. However, in order to complete the uninstall, windows must restart, but when it does, my laptop (Toshiba Satellite CB55-29N) automatically re - install the bluetooth stack, making it impossible for windows complete the update 8.1.

Can someone help me with this please. Is there a way to stop it automatically install the bluetooth? Or maybe somehow I can download and install the 8.1 file manually and work around the store?

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

The only thing I see that you do at this point is to update the installation now, you apply the updates and then try again the 8.1 update.

    Hey there,

IM afraid that you do not have a hw to port com on the device. Com ports you have on the laptop are "virtual ports. If you're expriencing diffuculties internet connection, could you please go to Device Manager (by going to the system control panel and choose the Hardware tab) and then access the properties of the Toshiba software modem, go to the diagnostics tab and click the query modem button and display the result.

    See you soon,.

PS you'll only com port listed in Manager of devices if and only if you have a serial port on the computer.

  • com ports are not not in Device Manager

    Windows Vista Ultamate

I need to find what my gps device usb com port is turned on and set manually baud rate etc.
Went to control panel option "Hardware and sound" not shown.
Find Device Manager via "system" in the control panel but "ports" were not.

Apart from evolution into another version of windows, what should I do

You can add Ports manually via the control panel "Add Hardware". In the Add Wizard of material, choose the option "Install the hardware that I manually select from the list (user)" then click on the button "next".  Under "Common hardware Types" scroll down and clilck on Ports (COM & LPT) click the button "Next" and complete the wizard.

  • Palm Treo 750 WM6 - problem remove Bluetooth partnership.

Palm 750 WM6, Telstra Australia; I'm having a problem deleting my Treo Bluetooth partnerships.

When I go through the sequence to REMOVE partnerships in accordance with the instructions in the Treo that is

    (1) press start > settings

    (2) select the Connections tab

(3), select Bluetooth, and then select the devices tab

    (4) select the partnership you want to end

    (5), select Remove.

I got the Treo in partnership with Blueant Z9 Bluetooth headset, however, after a month, the Z9 battery was defective and he died, the Z9 was replaced under warranty.

I matched the Z9 with the Treo replacement, now I have two instances of the Z9 in the list but you can't delete one or the other, also have GPS in the list and which cannot delete either.

I'm not sure but the Z9 is not working as it should, maybe because there are 2 two instances in the Treo.

I want to remove all Bluetooth partnerships and to start again, but after I finished the sequence (4), the screen goes to the next screen titled "Partnership settings" and there is no DELETION to select.

I removed and replaced the battery and pressed the "Reset" button inside the compartment for the memory card, but nothing allows me to remove two instances of the Z9.

Not sure where to go from here any help appreciated.

    Bill

Thanks for the reply, it was the "Tap and Hold" on the device, I've been away, sometimes I do not see the forest for them * beep * trees

I guess that Palm could be a little clearer on it in the instructions on deleting a partnership, however your advice worked like a charm.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

    2. What is the exact error message do you get?

I suggest you try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Start your system in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 2 If the issue does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click on start toreduce this top that i, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

    (b) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (c) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

    Method 3:

Also scan your computer from the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    Hope this information is useful.
