Problem restarting audio IDT on Windows XP (DV3-2150EP)

Hello

I followed the guides on this forum to downgrade my laptop (DV3-2150ep) for Windows XP and I have the last problem: the driver IDT audio. The original driver on the site of HP drivers for this laptop did not work because the helmet kept silent when the socket is connected. After experimenting with different versions of the IDT driver, I found a working version (SP46918), but my situation the following:

-The devcon is necessary to restart the Microsoft UAA to mount devices IDT show after each connection, but that's OK.

-What I can't solve: even if I do the thing with the devcon, a update manual (forced) device is necessary to reinstall the sp46918 driver files from Device Manager to get the audio up to-and-operational.

1. is there an idea that the driver IDT done when he is obliged to update? In this case, I can write a script to perform the same operations of each connection.

2. is there a tool to automate a peripheral forced update of command line? I tried a lot of tools to backup/restore of devices without success. Only DriverMax works, but it doesn't have a CLI interface. :-|

3. any other solution found by others?

4 install Vista. :-((((((

Thank you

kecsap

I have to apologize, it turned out that I had F05 or F.06 instead of the latest version of the BIOS. Earlier I have not updated the BIOS as the changelogs have shown no related audio enhancement. I have reflashed the machine under Windows XP (However it is not recommended to several places, but I had success with that), and that's, audio in Windows XP started to work perfectly with the SP46918 without hacks.

    Hello

I have problem with this audio drivers 3.11.0.51. The problem is that the output works perfectly but there is no entry.

When can I expect from the good work on Toshiba support drivers?

My way to have entry and exit works well is: first install 3.11.0.51 drivers from Toshiba site to install Support Intel 3.14.0.50 and do not restart after the installation. It's hard because every time when I restart the PC I have to for this making begin.

Anyone have the same problem and found another job drivers?

    Thank you

    HI Supportneeded,

You gave me the trick with the driver to resolve the problem in the next restart.
And I replied to your thread Thursday evening at 20:30. Ask you Toshiba phone when we can expect new drivers. (I have a Satego P100-10F) I added a complaint of litte that Toshiba should also support a 'old' OS like XP. And after that at 21:00 the detachment was completely absent.

Anyway, I tested some drivers of other manufacturers and other Chipsetdrivers, still the same problem.
the sound with this material does not work on XP due to a rather bad.

Of course, toshiba brings out a new driver that will feature at the end of February, but now it is March and I see nothing. (stop: a new driver for Windows Vista is online since yesterday)
I had it installed on xp and the sound is completely down. Whether in - or output.

you already called toshiba support when they expect our problems?

  • Satellite P100 - problem with audio driver on Windows 7 RC

    Hi all

I have an Australian original Satellite P100 P/N PSPA6A-02N021 (T7200 2 GHz, 2 GB DDR-667, nVidia 7900GTX, 1680 x 1050 display) on which I just installed the latest Windows 7 RC (Build 7100 uploaded on 6 May). After doing a clean install on a new brand Western Digital 500 GB drive, I've had trouble with no output its (error code 10) default driver Microsoft HD audo.

Because it is a new installation on a disk HARD costs there is no internet connection to research the latest updates during installation. After completing the installation, the search for an updated driver or windows update cannot locate a better driver.

I updated the BIOS to Phoenix Technologies V4.70 (drawn from the Australian Toshiba site).

I checked the audio driver which worked perfectly under Vista Business 32 running on this same laptop, and it was Conexant HD audio driver v3.18.051 (dated 04/12/2006). I got this driver on the net and installed under Win7 RC. This driver installed and working, but now I only sound from the left speaker which is very (too) low level.

What I want to know is, someone at - it else experienced this and how did you solve this problem, or that you have the same or similar Toshiba laptop and the sound works OK or is there another way to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

I m asking you want to use an OS that isn't out yet and it s only a Release Candidate...

Have you checked the sound settings on your laptop? Maybe the balance is only on the left speaker.

To be honest, I think you should wait until Windows 7 will be available and you will find more recent drivers for it, they are compatible with Windows 7.

    Good bye

  • HP ENVY 15: Problem with audio after the Windows 8.1 update

Hi, I'm on HP ENVY 15 notebook PC and I updated my windows 8 to 8.1. Until a few days back, everything was fine. However, now, I have no audio through speakers or head phones. Can someone help me please to solve this. Thank you.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63001-63500/sp63408.exe

Once the reinstallation is complete, shut down the laptop by pressing the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.  Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • Driver problem Audio IDT high definition (HD) after windows 8.1 update 1.

Hello. I have HP Probook s 4730. After you install the update to Windows 8.1 1 the audio driver has stopped working properly. When I want to play some music or even video system sounds, noise appears after 1-2 minutes. At that time, disk use is 100% cause of isolation of graph for the device windows audio. I installed this driver Audio IDT high definition (HD) on the support site for the driver of HP, but it does not work. As I see it in the device manager driver release date is 24.10.2012. I think it's too old for Windows 8.1. Can you help me? Y at - it another more recent version of this audio driver? Also I send only two pictures where are drive HARD use and driver release date.

I found a solution to our problem! I installed this driver Windows 7 in compatibility mode. You must remove this one for Windows 8.1 in programs and features, then download this version I have already mentioned, sole extract in a place where you want and install with compatibility mode. To do this, you must enter the configuration properties, then compatibility mode and select Windows 7, also check "Run this program as Administrator". This driver works fine for me. Hope you enjoy it also.

  • IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC-updated, problems with the audio

I recently installed successfully IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and after that none of my audio worked. Everything indicates that the audio is working as usual, but no sound. Also, when I did a test "sound" in the control panel > sound, it is said "the test could not be played. (Translated from Finnish Windows Vista, but anyway). I went to IDT Audio settings (from the bottom right icon) and noticed that my headphones and speakers had been cut so I removed the 'secret' of these two, but nothing happened. I tried to restart the computer several times and recheck the IDT Audio settings but nothing found which could cause the problem.

    Hey Andyy27,

My HP Support Assistant tried to make me update this driver I have the computer in mid-August.  Same thing; whenever I have install the driver, there is no sound either - I have not known what you mentioned above on the sound slowly disappears.  Thahaseena, good to have you hear.  I am running Windows 7 family on a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC.  After installation, there is no request to restart or stop to install updates; my sound card lists an error and I have to roll back the driver to make it work again.

My driver date is January 13, 2010, version 6.10.6265.0.  It's one that I continue to back and it works.  I will install the update now and tell you what I get for audio driver is not working.

The properties of my IDT HD Audio CODEC says:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

You must restart your computer before the changes made to this device will come into force.

New driver that disables my sound: June 17, 2010, version 6.10.6289.0.  Well now, it asks me to restart, but I'm not having good hope... will write if this time it solves the problem (4th time charm?).

  • IDT audio driver for Windows XP

    Hello

I have a DV7-1050ef downgraded to XP. I know that HP does not support Windows XP more.

Anyone found yet an IDT audio driver for Windows XP? I have already tried many, none of them worked.

I also installed the UAA kb888111.exe driver. Do I need to install anything else before the driver IDT?

  • problem audio import in windows moviemaker

I am trying to import MP3 audio files to Windows movie maker. Sometimes they work, sometimes I get an error message.  It just says: could not import the files, but no reason is given.  I downloaded files on Amazon and Rhapsody.  I get the same message anywhere, I buy the files.  Help!

MP3 files can cause compatibility problems. Best
bet would be to convert them to the. WMA format
before you import into Movie Maker.

There are many programs that can do conversions...
The following freeware is an example...:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Format_Factory
    (the 'direct link' is faster)
(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup260.zip<>
    (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
('all' boxes on the last screen)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
Drag FFSetup260.exe out of the folder
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

Drag and drop your MP3 clips on the main screen...

    Select "while"WMA"/ OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

  • Problems with audio CDs, burning on Windows 7 with VMWorkstation 9

I can not burn audio files with my current setup using VMWare 9.0.2

The host OS is Windows 7 (x 64) and the guest operating system is Windows 7 (x 64). On the host, I can create audio CDs using Windows Media Player or Nero 9 Essentials.  When I try the same operation on the client, both programs cannot write to the audio CD.  The host drive is a SATA Blu - ray burner.  I connected it to the virtual computer as a SCSI disk using these settings and Legacy Emulation is turned off:

    SCSI1.pciSlotNumber = "224".

    SCSI1.sasWWID = "50 05 05 6 d 66 52 4 b 50.

    SCSI1. Present = 'TRUE '.

    SCSI1.virtualDev = "lsisas1068".

    SCSI1:0. Present = 'TRUE '.

    SCSI1:0. FileName = "G:".

    SCSI1:0. DeviceType = "cdrom-raw"

I tried writing files of data of the virtual machine on a CD in the drive to Blu - ray in the host using either Nero 9 Essentials or directly with Windows 7 and do drag characteristic and files data write and verify correctly in the virtual machine.

As a test, I borrowed a USB DVD drive and plugged directly into the running virtual machine.  After Windows 7 it is detected in the virtual machine, I tried Windows Media Player and Nero 9 Essentials to burn audio CDs from the prompt and it has worked.

What should I do for the virtual machine to make it work with the internal drive to the SATA controller when creating audio CD?

This is certainly a bug with Audio CD burning.

I have re-installed Workstation 7 and 8 of the workstation and verified that the problem did not exist in older versions.

I tested with 9 Workstation, workstation 10.0.1 and fails audio CD burning.

This was reported as a VMWare bug (13403576911 application) to build 10.0.1 and although it might not be replicated at VMWare, they have managed to fix the problem and I confirmed the fix works on my hardware.  The fix should be in the next update of VMWorkstation which I guess will be 10.0.2

  • Driver Audio IDT (?) Question

I had problems with my audio on my laptop. I have a HP Envy Sleekbook m6 model m6-k010dx running on Windows Update 8.1. A few months ago, I had problems getting my audio to work. I didn't know what I was doing, so I uninstalled by mistake and/or deleted Beats Audio, as well as the IDT, which is what I think caused my IDT drivers stop working correctly in the first place.
I restarted my pc after trying to fix my audio, and he ended up telling me that I needed to update my computer. The update apparently failed, but miraculously my computer restarted a few days later. When I reviewed my files as well as all my drivers, nothing seemed wrong. However, I don't have the Beats Audio program longer, even if my IDT drivers seemed to work very well. Whenever I have try and run the beats, he told me that the startup.exe file is missing, which I suppose means it has, unfortunately, been removed.
I'm not worried about it because I guess I felt lucky to get my audio back, so I have not dug too deep so far. Yet once, I'm having a problem getting my audio to work. I went into Device Manager, and my convenience store told me that it was another problem of driver.
Yes, see no other way to go about this after trying but failing to have my computer to reinstall the driver, I uninstalled it manually; I thought that Windows would detect the missing driver and be able to solve this problem, so I rebooted and went into my device manager. Now, it gives me a different error, I have attached a screenshot. I have no idea how all of these problems, and all the help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Hi mstrcorbot3000 and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I understand that you have a problem with your IDT audio driver for your HP ENVY m6-k010dx Sleekbook. I'll try my best to help you solve this problem. I recommend that you uninstall the driver that is in the device for IDT audio driver manager and then download driver Audio IDT high definition (HD) and install it before you restart your computer.

I hope that this information help, please let me know how it goes.

Thank you and have a great day!

I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop from DVD true retail because the resumption of HP I is 32-bit and so cannot use all the memory in the machine.

I managed to find the most important software and drivers but miss me the beat / Audio driver. It does not appear on the page of download driver laptop (with another software, but that's probably another story).

I found and installed HP Support Assistant, and who concluded that the Beats Audio was missing and that would have been installed (unless she didn't and he didn't tell me). However, he seems to still be there - there is no Beats Audio icon in the system tray and it is not something that you can uninstall in Control Panel. I also installed HP on-screen Display as it seems to be necessary, but it does not seem to have brought Beats Audio to life.

Lack of pilots of Beats Audio seems to be a common theme on this forum, but unfortunately none of the opinions of existing positions worked for me. I suspect it is maybe because none of them focused specifically on my laptop model.
