• Problem of definition of screen with Satellite 4600

  I wonder if anyone can give me advice on my toshiba satellite 4600 laptop. I am running XP service pack 2 and the machine is around 6 years old, has a celeron 733 mhz processor, 256 MB of ram and HD 30gig. The problem is that it doesn't seem to change the definition of the screen (which is necessary for many games).

  In the display settings properties there is choice between 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768, however, it is by default to 1024 x 768, and if you change to 800 x 600 all that happens is that the office gets more into the screen of the monitor leaving a black border around the unused portion of the screen (it is like when you resize a photo) (, the picture becomes smaller)-the icons are tiny, so, really, it is always 1024 x 768, but just a smaller version.

  When playing the Pinball game that comes with windows XP, the game is really small in the middle of the screen of the monitor, but when I click on 'fullsize' the game remains the same size, but the border around it is growing.

  On my other computer, the game expands when you click "fullsize" because it changes the definition of the screen. For the most part, my laptop is unable to change its definition of the screen, but I think it would change the definition of the Frogger game.

  A few days ago I formatted drives, then reinstalled Windows and since I have problems executing Battlefield 3.

  The problem is this: after a few minutes of play, the screen freezes and I can't hear a sound of "grrrrrrrrrrr" on the speakers. I can not give any command keyboard and can only force - turn off the laptop.

  I had no problems to run the game before you reinstall Windows, so I guess that the problem lies in a driver conflict, but how do I know which drivers are the cause?

• Problems of storage controller AMD with a 3 TB HARD drive

  I recently bought a 3to HDD Seagate to use as remote storage / secondary. It seems that AMD has not updated its storage controller to recognize > 2 TB yet. I can't find drivers for my chipset anywhere at least. And it seems that nobody running them an AMD chipset is upgrading the HARD drive past 2 TB? I know that Intel has released an update for their controller that corrects this problem. Everything is available for the AMD controller like that?

  AMD has nothing about their storage on them controllers.

  I can see all 3 TB in disk management, but I can't partition beyond 2.2 to. The last 746,52 Go will be unusable.

  AMD AHCI compatible RAID Controller driver version 3.3.1545.14 and Microsoft says it's the most up-to-date

  That's all the help I can offer because I do not know why all the 3 TB of the drive is not visible in a big partiton unless you don't format it to GPT.

  So that all 3 TB be seen in a single partition, the drive must be in the GPT format.

• Problem when running iterative morphology

  I'm writing a VI that takes an input image and uses the morphological operations until the stop condition is met (the condition is linked with the resulting image). I want to retain the images obtained at each iteration. I tried to do with records to offset and creting a table of the image. Unfortunately, none of these reviews has worked... For some reason, the morphological operation affect my input image, so that all the images stored in the table show the result of the latest iteration. I tried to create a copy of the image in each iteration without success. I created a simplified example to illustrate the problem. I use a loop for whiich makes expansion n to an image of input text. I expect a result different dilated images stored in the output array. Anyone know what could be the reason for my problem?

  PS: I know I could specify the number of iterations that runs from the morphology of VI, but I do not know this number in advance. I need to apply morphological operations until meeting a condition evaluated in the loop. The idea is to transmit the resulting image in a registry to offset and evaluate each dilated image until a given condition is met.

  Make sure that you create a new image with a unique name for each step you want to memorize.  Use the new image that the destination image.

  If you use an image with the same name, it is the same image and is crushed.

  Quite frankly, I suggest a complete rewrite. You use stacked sequence structures, GPIB functions instead of VISA, a large number of locals, the hidden wires and structures, in a first stage. You should know that the command set varies from one provider to another and often from instrument to instrument. If you had used the instrument to the extent of tek driver, you could perhaps have an easier time to replace common functions. As it is, if you want to use the existing code, you need to replace each of your Scriptures GPIB hardcoded with writing appropriate for the LeCroy.

  As a side note, this is the kind of situation where IVI drivers would have made a big difference. If the IVI drivers exist for the two instruments, and if you used class drivers, you would have not had to change anything.

  Using NI VISA, I control a peristaltic pump, using USB RS232 converter, and I need to send a string to set the speed, a single string to set the direction and a single string to start the pump.

  The major problem here is to send in the order, because I need three of them.

  I tried with the variables global/local, but giving take place in race conditions.

  Is there a better way to do it?

  Family of express chipset Intel 82915 g/gv/910 gl is not a video card. It is built into the processor.

  Check the video card, follow these steps:

  a. click Start, click run.

  b. type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

  c. develop graphics cards and you will see the video card (in your case, you could see graphic IntelHD express).
