  Unfortunately on this path, it is not easy to say why this is happening. Each user has a specific configuration OS and we don t know how your operating system is configured.

  You can boot OS in safe mode? If Yes check what the problem may be a little. If there is anything you can do I recommend you save all your data and preinstall unit using rescue media. If you do this I recommend also to create two partitions.

  Don t compare WXP and Linux startup procedure. As you know that Knoppix using just the RAM and no HARD drive for the race.

  What I have done

  I really wanted to be able to connect an external hard drive and start windows 10 without having to partition my internal hard drive in the process. So I made a bootable usb to install 10 windows using bootcamp assistant. Then I installed my external hard drive instead of my hard drive internal and installed OS X El Capitan on it (temporarily) and then run wizard bootcamp to do properly a partition for windows. I installed windows since already made a bootable usb and then after installation, I installed all the bootcamp drivers. At this point, everything works as expected when the hard drive is installed internally.

  Problem solved, kind of...

  I went and changed the options of attachments to use my own Adobe Reader instead of the (in Thunderbird) option. Now by clicking on the attachment in Thunderbird works fine. There must be something wrong with the drive of Thunderbird.

  Looks like you have formatted the NTFS drive that is read-only for OS X. Copy data to another drive, then partition and format the drive correctly for use on a Mac.

  May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

  Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

  Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

  Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

  Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

  1. Please, do a right-click on the bridge on the desktop icon and select "Run as Administrator".
  2. If this does not help, reset the Bridge preferences and then try it.

  Steps: -.

  Start Adobe Bridge, and immediately press Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS down) until the dialogue box reset settings appears.

  Select all three options - reset preferences, reset Standard Workspaces and all miniature Purge Cache - and then click OK.

  for some reason, I have to boot from a USB key memeory containing WinPE and Linux (depending on the task to perfom). My problem is I got blocked on the logo "Toshiba leading innovation" and nothing else happens.
  As soon as I remove the USB key, it starts from the internal drive.

  I tested with an external CD-rom with no more success.
  All keys & CDs have been successfully on other hardware platforms.
