Problem trying to launch system restore error "the creation of a shadow copy has expired. Try this operation again. "

The creation of a shadow copy has expired. Try this operation again.  That's what I get when you try to run the system restore.  What can I do?

(Moved to programs)

Solved my problem by running the restore of the system in safe mode.  This problem was caused by a Microsoft update that plays well with Windows 7 - it put an end to all parts of Windows troubleshooting and caused this problem of system restore.  I suspect that it also created some havoc with Silverlight too.  So, before launching system restore I changed the way I let Microsoft give me updates - now they can download, but not unless I let them.  Of course, I have absolutely no way of knowing what updates to install and which not to install, I think that I will not install anything unless I 'hear' some chitter-chatter on the net something.

This has happened before and my OS began telling me that it was not authentic, even if it was. Comes with the system and I have the key... but Ibuypower (which ruined my computer TWICE when they were 'building' and I had to pay for sending him back so that they can fix their screws) did not send my software disc. I have corrected the problem before making a system, safe mode restore. It was caused by a Microsoft Update... and they wanted me to pay US $250 to fix it (more than the cost of the OS!) I want to fix the problem for good however and I'm tired of feeling like these ups live problems software and updates happen just so that people have to pay more money. Is there a fix REAL for that matter? Or maybe just do as most of the others are more and just get the OS from torrents for free? Since paying obviously has no benefits, he claims too. Sorry, won't be a tail... its just very frustrating when you are trying to do things the right way and you still get screwed.

    Hello

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Method 1 : start the Volume Shadow Copy service and see if the problem persists.
a: Type services.msc in the start search box and click on enter.
b: Locate a service called instant cliché of Volume and then double-click it to open it.
c: Now start the service then click on apply and then OK.

Method 2 : run a SFC (file system check) scan and see if the problem occurs.

  • System Restore error: "the changes to the G: drive after this point cannot be reversed, because the drive has been either excluded from monitoring system restore or has been disabled or deleted.»

I had some problems with my computer recently I knew could be solved with the system restore.  Then I went into system restore and went to a restore point that was a few weeks back.  After I clicked on it and pressing the ok button, the following message appeared: "the changes made to the G: drive after this point cannot be reversed, because the drive has been either excluded from monitoring system restore or has been disabled or deleted.»  I let it continue and do the restore.  My computer has rebooted and came up with an error in system restore that says restore failed.  It's the same thing with other restore points.  I don't know why I get this error because I not made any changes to this hard drive except for copy of a document word on him.  I thought that the System Restore monitors removable disks.  Anyone know what is happening here and how I can get the restoration of the system to operate without the mistakes to come?

I have Norton.  Disable the Tamper Protection works.  I also noticed that since the G: drive was a portable hard drive, System Restore wanted to exercise oversight.  He wants to monitor all hard drives.  Turn on external and portable hard disks prevents tracking system restore changes to the readers.  I don't think anyone would have the system restore review external drives anyway.  It is not necessary.

Clean HP Pavilion bought in 2003.  With the help of daughter for school work.  Computer running very slow.  A ran all the relevant boxes virus / malware scans, the old deleted files ' ran fix disk, disk cleanup and defrag, still running slow.  A ran the 'System Restore' edge (press F10 during boot).  It works through the restore program and sit as I just opened the box.  Through the implementation of procedures and click Finish and it is just there for up to 6 hours before I finally gave up.

Oh Dear Brian, I hope there is no data file on the computer, you will need in the future. The F10 key is the path to the system recovery that restores the computer to the factory settings. It comes to the computer when it was bought new in 2003. It erases all the data files and installed programs from the drive. In other words, you start again:

    Hello

I currently get the error in the title when you are trying to connect to my wireless headset. "Setup Bluetooth Services" comes when I press on connect, and about 30 seconds later, the error appears.
The device is a Laser AO-BTHD and I use a USB of Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth adapter 4.0 to activate my Windows 7 x 64 to connect to Bluetooth devices. The Broadcom device uses the most up to date driver I can find (6.5.1.2501) and it still does not.
I do not understand why my PC is able to associate the device without any problem, but it cannot connect to the device and use it properly.
The headset works fine with my iPhone and my PC can connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth.

  • Problem with several sub-groups through case structure Enum: 'the VI isn't in a State compatible with this operation.

    Hello

I'm using LabVIEW 8.0 and I'm trying to create a subgroup of experts which shows the façade of a subvi according to the choice made by the user via the menu drop down Enum.  I wired the Enum to a case structure and apply a coding identical to each structure of individual cases with the exception of course change the source of sub - vi.  However, you receive an error "The VI isn't in a State compatible with this operation."  I have managed to make a single sub - vi work within a subgroup of experts using a true/false case structure and the same exact coding.  However, now that I use an Enum box connected to a structure of the case, I get this error.  I enclose my diagram as well.  Could someone help me as to where it is that I am wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

If your VI runs already, when you try to run it? Which returns the error you get.

Check the State of VI before trying to run or make an error handling.

  • System Restore error: tried all solutions in the posted forums. Halp?

    Halp me please :(

Norton anti-virus Malwarebytes and Kaspersky TDSSKiller found some unpleasant things on my computer last night, and after having tried to delete/quarantine unpleasant things and reboot, Vista is now impossible to load beyond the screen "Please Wait..."/Welcome. I let it sit for about 5 minutes solid, then the screen blurs and I'm stuck.

I can boot into Safe Mode with network (as well as all other security mode), so I tried to do a system restore, but nothing helped. I have been searching forums literally ALL THAT DAY and we tried ALL the tips and solutions of publication.

"ERROR: System Restore failed due to an unspecified error." The setting is incorrect (0 x 80070057). »

1 Norton is off and I'm in Mode safe

    2. I have run the sfc/scannow command and told me "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them."

    3. I have run the command chkdsk and told me "errors found. Chkdsk cannot continue in read-only mode"and"Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process.

    4. I tried selecting the option "Repair my computer" in the start menu advanced, but when I go to sign in, it says my username or password is incorrect. Impossible! Impossible to overtake this dialog box, I have to restart the computer using safe mode.

    5. I tried to boot from the last good known as well and it takes me still on the screen "Please Wait..."/Welcome of death...

An additional note: when you use Google in Mode safe mode, I tried to visit a legitimate forum link and was redirected to a spam site. When I tried to hit the back button, it's as if he wouldn't let me leave, constantly asking me if "I knew? This seems to be a kind of virus-y thing. I thought that Safe Mode was safe? My virus problems would be bad enough that even the Safe Mode is infected? Sad :(

I'd really appreciate some feedback. The other just posted solutions do not work for me.

    Thank you very much!

A virus that has infected operating system files or program files can be active in safe mode.

Here are a few things to try:

    1. Because your computer has Norton Antivirus, you should disable Norton product Tamper Protection before you run the system restore.  This is not the same thing to disable Norton Antivirus.
    2. Demarrer start from a Windows Vista installation disc, select repair your computer and run System Restore from the System Recovery Options menu.

    Hi chuckdutton,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 when was the last time it was working fine?

    3. What is the reason for the execution of the system restore on the computer?

    4. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    5. you receive similar message appears when you try with different restore points?

There are various reasons for the system restore fail on the computer.

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
