Problem when you try to connect to the Wi - Fi connection

Hello

I have an Inspiron 1545 with Vista. Two days ago, my internet works more all of a sudden, the laptop can capture the network available, but does not connect, I reinstalled all the software needed and tried to download the driver Intel(r) wifi 5100 several times that decompresses the laptop but seems to not work and is not in the section adapter in Device Manager. I reloaded all drivers in the order listed on the various positions on this site but still no joy. I can't seem to find where the computer downloaded the wifi5100 Intel (r) to. Can someone help, I'm extremely frustrated?

I have a Linksys router. Connected WN2000RPT as described in the instructions of Netgear. Everything went through the lights very well, good, EXT appears on the scan available networks, etc. Tried to connect a Smart TV Vizio and burn TV Amazon tablet Asus. All 3 devices show... EXT with a strong signal. However, each device does not, connect with an error message 'Authentication problem' or simply 'cannot connect."

My router is connected using personal safety ' WPA2/WPA mixed. " When you configure the wifi extender, I said to use the same SSID and the security that the router setting. Online reading on the settings available on the WN2000 and decided that the problem was perhaps a "lag" in the security implementation because WN2000 is not the same as available router setting. Do you have a factory reset on extension and returned to through the procedure, only not selected use the same level of security as a router, but manually selected WPA/PSK (AES) for the Extender. Same exact error of my devices as before.

I thought that maybe by using the security settings of the router it was to spoil the Extender because they do not have the same settings available. But perhaps using different parameters (when the Extender receives the signal from the router, but perhaps on a "pass-through" only basis?) problems as well?

So, can someone tell me if there is a way to get my devices to connect to the Extender, or this is always going to be a problem because the router has a security setting, and if I manually set the security OR say scope to use the same security settings, it will not work because the two units are not compatible? I'm doing something wrong? Any ideas? Thank you!

    Hello RealisticDave

Did you have a different SSID on the router and not the same as routers SSID?

  • I have an Airport Express, which gives an unexpected error message when you try to connect to an existing network of WEP.  Any ideas.  Tried the factory returned. He was knocked offline when someone dug into the telco cables.

I have an Airport Express, which gives an unexpected error message when you try to connect to a router WEP (Verizon) existing iOS9.3.2

It flashes orange, but can not be reconnected to the router or to the title of the Setup Assistant or Airport utility.  Is there a way to reconnect to WIFI or should I bite the bullet and connect via Cat5e and be done with it.  My VPN works much better without AirPort Express connected.

Sorry, but there is no WEP settings AirPort Utility on the iPhone or iPad, or any Mac version of AirPort Utility which was used for the last 4 years or so.

If you have an older Mac still running AirPort 5.x utility or a PC with the AirPort for Windows utility installed on the device, the WEP settings that could be used to get the Express to connect to a WEP network there.

As you know, WEP has not been secured for a number of years, and there are any number of free utilities available on the Internet, which is crack a WEP network in a few seconds. Thus, all those who want to be on your network will not have problems to do very quickly.

    But it's your call.

    Hello

Temporarily disable the security software on both computers and check if it makes a difference.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

You can get in trouble with your device drivers, firmware and/or software.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get the drivers (and you shouldat least make the modem and everything you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

Try to uninstall and then reinstall the modem again.  Remove the modem through Control Panel > phones and Modems, then uninstall the modem in Device Manager. Once the reboot is complete and it is reinstalled it should work (as long as you use the update of the above paragraph).  Make sure that you uninstall in this order.

Are you sure that the modem is compatible with Vista and the rest of your system?  What is the manufacturer, brand and model?  You can find here:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

I keep getting the 'Network security Key Mismatch' message when you try to connect using my wireless internet connection.  I don't know that I use the password.

    Hi oms1957

I recommend you try these methods

    Method 1:

Reset the wireless network and make sure that you set the level of security to WPA2-Personal, as it is recommended.

Here are some links that will help you set up the wireless network

What are the different wireless network security methods?

    Method 2:

If this does not clear if installed third-party antivirus and then try to connect. If the problem is resolved, you have to uninstall the antivirus and reinstall back or check with the settings.

    Method 3:

Cycle power to the router and check if this is useful.

They were playing before you burn CDs?

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.

Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.

    b. Click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.

  • 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to other computers and devices on the same network - unable to connect to the shared devices.

I have a network consisting of Windows 7 laptop computers, an XP laptop and a Wireless Linksys (Cisco) WRT610 N + N with storage attached to it via its USB port.  Your PC Windows 7 has, since I can see and access to other computers and devices on storage.  Since Windows 7 PC B I can not connect (via the file manager) to A PC or NAS storage network.  Get such as 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to the IP address on the device name.  When I ping the devices of PC B I have no trouble to achieve.

I turned off all firewalls, added the LMHOST file entries and a myriad of other tests and still cannot connect to PC B devices.  I can surf the net fine and do everything else - simply cannot connect to other devices even if these other devices can connect to me.

I was in there for 22 years and has worked as an engineer on major networks and the network I stem - anyone got any idead. I checked all the basics such as Netbios, file sharing etc etc.

It took a reinstall (upgrade) to get actually it works again.

When you try to connect to my router using the IP address, he continues to ask for a password of windows security.  I don't know what it is, I tried recording with every combination I can think.  Can anyone help?

If you do not know the password of the router, then chances are good that you will need to reset it to the factory settings. Google your model and you should be able to find the instructions.

    I hope this helps.
