Problem Windows 7 XP Mode networks

I use some old programs of productivity in my office that only run on XP. I bought a new computer with Windows 7 Professional and downloaded and installed the XP Mode and Virtual PC. It works fine, but I can't connect to my network in XP mode. I can connect using Windows 7 and see and connect to all other computers (all XP) on my network, but I can't connect in XP Mode. Help.

Configure the virtual machine to use the network card on the host PC:

1. turn off the Virtual PC.
2. click on Start > all programs > Windows Virtual PC > Windows Virtual PC .
3. right click Windows XP Mode.vmcx and click settings .
4. click on the network .
5. the value 1 adapter network card on the host PC.
6. click on OK .

Then start the virtual machine.

  • Windows cannot create the network map. Responses of the other devices on the network are delayed or on the network, there is a router incapatible

    Original title: no network card
I installed a NETGEAR N300 Wireless USB Adapter on my computer which is a desk top Dell 64-bit running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. There are five computers on my network. Two of the others use the same model of NETGEAR wireless USB adapt. I removed the Ethernet cable after the installation of the wireless adapter. I can say that the new wireless adapter works fine. When I tried to map the network I got the same message that appears in some of these problems: "Windows cannot create the network map. Responses of the other devices on the network are delayed or there is a router on the network incapatible". I have restarted this computer in SafeMode as suggested in the above problems. I tried other things like disabling the wired connection has always existed for the cable. No effect. Then I tried mapping the network on the other computers. All failed with the same message. All the other four computers are 32-bit. Three of these computers are also running Windows 7 Home Premium. They are the best desktop computers. The other computer is a Windows 7 Starter netbook running. It is the 32-bit computer, always using a cable. That will be replaced with the same wireless adapter model NETGEAR. Anyone know how to fix this or is this a bug? It would be nice of the network software of Windows 7 has worked as it is supposed to. TO.

I went the last wired wireless computer and the problem disappeared. The five computers can view the map now without any problems.

If it works in Windows safe mode, then you have a problem with other software, maybe a security software or a system driver that runs on your computer.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

  • How to make a backup of Windows Vista in Mode safe

    Hello

My computer was not able to boot into normal mode for months. We tried all the recommended malware and protection antiviruss systems, but he had no luck, so we use windows in SafeMode w / networking. I recently bought a 2 TB external hard drive and was wondering - is anyway to backup all of my photos and my important files on my external hard drive in safe mode? I read a few topics, and they all say that no backup program does work in safe mode, I don't know if that's true or not because my hard drive is shipped at the present time. And if he isn't there anyway to back up files in safe mode how do I save my files without them having erased when I factory reset? I have well over 900 GB of files.

Thanks in advance for any help!

With this info, once in safe mode windows with cmd prompt, type: Sfc/scannow once the File Checker.

Repair utility runs automatically. Once thru type: CHKDSK C: /F agree to restart, type: EXIT restart pc, leave the

PC/operating system starts, SFC repairs made by car in the BACK.

This should fix the OS, if the problems persist, opened in normal safe mode, type run or cmd: diskmgmt.msc

in msc, L.click on the slave HD, go up all the actions, select Enable, exit msc. Open my computer, users,

Locate the files/folders, send to slave HD. This is not the backup, it's seding user data to a storage device

  • Hard drive problems Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

Well guys, that it left me speechless.  I recently inherited a laptop from a friend who is fairly new and in good condition.  The laptop, a Toshiba Techra A9, installed Windows Vista Ultimate.  The problem that I seem to have with the laptop is that it will start Windows in normal mode but gets up to a certain point and then hangs up.  I can hear the drive trying to be rolled up and continues to make a rattling noise, similar to a folder that jumps.  The funny thing is that I can turn the machine off and restart in SafeMode w / networking with no problems.  I tried a hard drive cool to think the problem could be a faulty drive, however, the new drive does the same thing.  I installed Vista via the Toshiba Recovery CD, and from the beginning for the first time Windows has frozen, the new hard drive making the same noise as the old.  Anyone out there have any ideas why this is happening?  Install a new hard drive and having the same problem son believe me that it is related Windows or I'll have another hardware problem elsewhere on the machine.  Thank you!!

Try to check the drivers on the computer to the hard drive. If you can, go to the MMC Console in computer management, go to the Device Manager, and then in the console tree, you should see a line of 'hard drives. Down there, you should be able to see your hard drive. Right-click and click Properties, then go to the drivers of the popup window and note the driver version number. Check on the Toshiba site and see if there are updates to the hard disk driver. If there is, then install it. In addition, you can start safe mode and run your antivirus, assuming that he himself has not been compromised. It seems to be a software problem or driver since you say that you can start safe mode. • Windows 7 enterprise - wireless network does not work at the office

I'm a remote worker for a company.  I travel offices across the United States and hit this problem before, but thought it was just a transitory problem.  However, now I am in our headquarters and the problem has resurfaced.  Essentially, networks under Windows 7 Enterprise associates for wireless access points but cannot obtain a DHCP address.  I tried the usual: enough and ipconfig ipconfig / renew, I took it to our support people who confirmed that the configuration is correct, we have tried uninstalling the driver and put back in place, all in vain.  The configuration of the machine is:

    Dell Latitude E6400

    Windows 7 Enterprise x 64

    Wireless: Intel 5300 AGN

    Driver:

    Vendor: Intel

    Version: 12.4.1.4

    Digital signer: Microsoft

    Path: C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\netw5v64.sys

The wireless works now in my office at home (I have a Windows 2003, Cisco 1200 AP domain and use WPA2 with PEAP to authenticate).  Please note that the configuration has NOT changed since the last time I was in this office (about 3 weeks ago).  We are a Windows 2008 R2 using NPS area (AFAIK).  Help desk support people are completely baffled.  The good news is that the cable works fine.

It depend on what services? Media Player works fine in normal mode, but only in safe mode.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated

    Hello Victor,.

I don't think that it is possible to get Windows Media Player to work in Mode safe as it does start normally.
I suggest that you work on the main problem which is screening at the blue start of your machine. I suggest you post a thread on our repair system and the recovery location here:
  • "Receive error message" due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display WIndows firewall settings "when you turn the Windows Firewall

Original title: how to enable the Windows Firewall?

How can I activate the Windows Firewall?

When I click on it in the Control Panel, I get a message that says "Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display WIndows firewall settings".

    I use Microsoft Essentials antivirus.

    Hi Tom,

A firewall is software or hardware that checks information coming from the Internet or a network. The firewall blocks the information or allows information to pass to your computer. If the information is blocked or passed through depends on your firewall settings. A firewall can prevent malicious software (such as worms) to access your computer through a network or the Internet. A firewall can also help stop your computer from malware sent to other computers. Windows XP, Windows XP SP2 and Windows XP SP3 includes firewall software.

Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.

How can I turn on or turn off the firewall in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later versions?

    Hope this information helps.
