Problem Windows Update after reinstalling Windows Vista

Hi all. I had a big problem, I get viruses on my computer and a friend who is an expert in computer science, says that I have to reinstall my Windows Vista Home Edition Premium, the virus is impossible to remove. I reinstalled who, install all drivers card mother plaplapla... Can I get the problem. When the computer install updates and restart the computer, just tested something: ' installation updated 1/3 0% "you know, it is allmost allways, but then comes the message as (sorry its Finnish and I translate Finnish to English., but I try):"configuration of updates failed. Updates to repeal. Do not close computer. "And then like 15 minutes and the computer to reinstall and updates are not installed. Even my friend don't know what to do, then, he said, that I should ask here. Sorry on my text, now is 04:15 clock, I tried to fix this several hours. I have reinstalled this about 2-3 weeks ago, first of all, I think it's a small problem, solved itself. Then I start looking for help and finally ask my friend and now I ask the help of your part. I'm sorry, I'm so tired, so I can't say to my hardcore computer, ask more, I have to go to sleep. Thank you.

  • Start-up problems: Windows Vista

    My mother has a Sony Vaio VGN NR430E; a few months ago she started having problems with the start up. His laptop keeps restarting until it had a chance to take charge of the user. It allows you to choose different options such as safe mode and last good known configuration, just start to name a few, however is not a difference that one you choose because the end result is the same which is: it restarts; before you restart, you see a blue screen, but only in a fraction of a second and then it starts again. I want to format it, but she didn't burn the recovery disks. How would I be able to solve this problem?

    If no one responds to you:

    http://eSupport.Sony.com/Perl/select-System.pl?PRODTYPE=1, 24,26,66,9,70,5,72

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    You can try this:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

  • Hard drive problems Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

    Well guys, that it left me speechless.  I recently inherited a laptop from a friend who is fairly new and in good condition.  The laptop, a Toshiba Techra A9, installed Windows Vista Ultimate.  The problem that I seem to have with the laptop is that it will start Windows in normal mode but gets up to a certain point and then hangs up.  I can hear the drive trying to be rolled up and continues to make a rattling noise, similar to a folder that jumps.  The funny thing is that I can turn the machine off and restart in SafeMode w / networking with no problems.  I tried a hard drive cool to think the problem could be a faulty drive, however, the new drive does the same thing.  I installed Vista via the Toshiba Recovery CD, and from the beginning for the first time Windows has frozen, the new hard drive making the same noise as the old.  Anyone out there have any ideas why this is happening?  Install a new hard drive and having the same problem son believe me that it is related Windows or I'll have another hardware problem elsewhere on the machine.  Thank you!!

    Try to check the drivers on the computer to the hard drive. If you can, go to the MMC Console in computer management, go to the Device Manager, and then in the console tree, you should see a line of 'hard drives. Down there, you should be able to see your hard drive. Right-click and click Properties, then go to the drivers of the popup window and note the driver version number. Check on the Toshiba site and see if there are updates to the hard disk driver. If there is, then install it. In addition, you can start safe mode and run your antivirus, assuming that he himself has not been compromised. It seems to be a software problem or driver since you say that you can start safe mode. • Problem Windows Vista activation key

    Thus, Windows Vista requires a product key, but because I couldn't find one, I had a windows 7 one.

    I type in the product key windows 7 and it's not accept it. What can I do? Is it possible for me to just use the windows 7 one?

    This link takes me to a full retail for WIndows 7 package, which means you should have disks of Windows 7 right at your fingertips.

    You can do an upgrade installation with a full license of Windows - or a clean installation - no problem.

    If you want to do an installation clean (which I recommend), simply to boot from the DVD and the installation and use the custom option.

    If you prefer to do an upgrade, and then start Windows and start the installer from there, choose the upgrade option.

  • Wireless connectivity problems: Windows Vista displays connected to the internet with good signal, but cannot access the internet more than a few seconds.

    Hello

    Recently, I brought a Dell with Windows Vista and a Belkin Wireless adapter in my house somewhere else. The computer has never had problems connecting to wireless internet on the other networks, however since the move I was not able to access the internet. Sometimes the network shows only a local connection and not Internet and other times, the network has a strong signal, a network identified and even an internet connection, but when I open any browser, it is only able to load the Google homepage and I cannot navigate anywhere else. I turned off all firewalls and even uninstalled all 3rd party software protection. I checked all my browser settings and made sure they detect automatically the IP settings and proxy settings. In other words everything seems in good shape, but I still have no navigation capability. Any ideas?

    It turns out that I had to remove all the old Wireless USB software that had been used previously (there had been other versions of Belkin and Linksys). I then used the computer from my friend to download suitable driver on the Belkin site for the internet adapter USB I used and BAM.

  • Problems with Windows Update after uninstalling SP2 (Vista Home Premium)

    Hello, everyone!

    Two days ago, I tried to install SP2 through my Windows Update. During the installation and then restart, it stopped on step 3 (0%), ignored and open Windows normally. But, I realized that I had totally lost Aero (I didn't even have the option in the window color and appearance), and also Windows Update constantly gave me the message that I always important updates - SP2 has not installed correctly (I rebooted the computer several times to try to resolve this problem, but everything remained the same: stop on step 3) ", running Windows, and once again the message that I've updated important). I searched in various forums, but could not solve the problem, so I decided to uninstall SP2 via Control Panel. But it doesn't let me do that - whenever I clicked on the button uninstall, it says that the installation is not finished yet. So, I tried the system restore, but whenever I clicked it, an error message (that I didn't understand at all) appeared. So, I went into safe mode and tried the system restore and it worked (Control Panel uninstall option does not in Mode safe either), and everything is back to SP1. But now I have problems with Windows Update - I get the error message 0 x 8007002 (and even 0 x 8007005 several times). I tried everything I could find in the forums (the thing with automated updates service does not because I don't have this option in Services), but nothing works. If anyone has any advice whatsoever, I would be really grateful for that, because I don't know what to do.

    For safety, I use NOD32 anti virus, Tall Emu Online Armor and ThreatFire.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi EvanaZgb,
    Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers forum.

    I would say to first disable the anti virus and other security software. Then proceed as follows:

    Step 2 now try to update again and post back with the results
    ------------
    Cleanup, utility to download and install the Microsoft Windows CleanUp utility. To do this, see the Microsoft Web site: http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe
