  I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 (about two months) on network VerizonWireless. Yesterday, I started to see a spinning hourglass that wouldn't go away, and now I can't receive emails. (I'm not on a customer business). The signal shows 1XEV connection and I see the ' up/down' arrows flashing periodically, but still no email comes through. All except the standard five applications are closed and I tried the option "remove the battery when the unit is running and wait a few minutes before plugging it back" does not. (The hourglass stopped for a few minutes, but came back and I'm still not received my email).

  Another challenge is that I use a Mac with OS X 10.4.11, not a PC based on Windows, so I don't have the software Manager to use.

  @rmaurer: I forgot to mention the battery drain, but the mine who did as well.

  The idea of 'everything back and get another' is never very satisfying for me. Especially if I have to keep doing it over and over again (like bobcawman, above), and he never really addresses the problem. If this is the case, then it seems that I bought a bad product, not only got a defective unit.

  The solution for me was to back up all my data by using the Desktop Manager, then reload the operating system of the VZW website software. The process was a bit complicated, and I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact steps to share here, but there is an option on the web site for the latest version of the software (4.5 for Verizon, I think). That solved the problem for me so far. I suppose however that the real question, why what is happening with so many people. I've seen many, many messages on exactly the same thing. I wonder if it's an issue just with the previous version of the software, or something more serious with the 8330 in general operating system.

  Please try this sequence:

  (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

  • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
  • He asks to restart the BB,

  Hello I'm a newbie here, but have some problems with BB Bold 9900 updated.

  During the update alls datas were recorded as usual during restart the BB there's an error to come, means that BB lost its operating system. I used the tips here and somwhere else to restore successfully. Unfortunately the data stored during the update process have not restored, even if the file already exists on my PC.

  The file is called LoaderBackup-(2013-09-26) .bbb - so almost similar to the usual backup file.

  Ho do I restore the data now?

  I have problems with my BB Torch 9800.  When I use the message Unified Inbox to view emails, emails have regularly occurring blank spots where there should be some text.  The text is simply hidden.  When I display the same message to the individual email (gmail or hotmail) Inbox, the message is complete.  A battery pull solves this problem for a few hours or a few days and then it reappears. This problem started a week ago.  I did not recently updated from the BONE.  I didn't do a wipe and restore again... I was hoping to avoid this.  There was an update to the new BB (August 6, 2012).  There were some other 3rd party applications which have also been installed.  I have not tried UN-installing again.  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance for your help.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, let it run for some time... long enough to know if the behavior will return. Normally, Safe Mode is designed for immediate diagnosis... nor for normal operations... but in your case, run long enough in mode SAFEW in order to know if the behavior will present will actually help diagnose.

  If the behavior presents while in Safe Mode, then it is likely that your OS kernel became somehow corrupted, requiring these steps you're reluctant to undertake.

  The mass storage mode only works with a media card on the curve. I think that the "BOLD" is the only phone that can have the internal reader works in mass storage mode.

  You can use Roxio Media Manager (download Blackberry Desktop Manager with Media Manager if you don't have it). See this link for a demo.

  Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of you saw it or not act! 6.0 is to synchronize with the curve. I already had the Palm Treo 700 p, which is a piece of garbage and got lucky that it worked at all. My company is upgrading to Blackberry and Palm of abandonment, I see here on your product page that Act! 6.0 is supported but has anyone has experiences using this Blackberry with the law! as I always had a lot of problems with the sync Act! with any what PDA and I wanted to hear other experiences before settling on this model. I also read that Companionlink may be necessary, but it does bother me when nothing available prevoiusly would synch my Palm with Act successfully! without problems...

  I finally got my curve and I just wanted to share my positive experience with you all. It's easy as pie to synchronize Act! 6.0 using CompanionLink and Blackberry Desktop alone, jumping harder synchronization with Outlook then Blackberry method. I had all this in less than 10 minutes and it was a pleasure. Personally, I took my Palm Treo 700 and it shattered into pieces 1 million across the street from my work to celebrate.   I had the same problem with my 8310 that I solved it by removing the battery for a few seconds and then replace and reboot... zoom doesn't always from time to time, but restarting always sorts

• Problems with ESC on 9320 blackBerry Smartphones

  I had a curve of 9320 for about a month now and it has developed a fault.

  When I'm in an application like Contacts, I can use the trackpad and escape button to move. However, if I try to use the ESC key to exit the application, the keyboard hangs. I can only release it by holding down the Menu button and selecting the House.

  I don't have a problem with the Messages or email, so I don't think that this may be material.

  Any suggestions welcome!

  Good news! After reading a few other older questions in the forum, I decided to do a new install of my OS. I used a few instructions posted 4 years ago and the problem disappeared at the end!

  Hello I'm owner of BB BOLD 9900 OS 7.1... for the last two days I am facing a pretty annoying problem with the BB browser.

  It means not affects the device... it just annoys me.

  When I TURN ON my WiFi on my BB with the network carrier Sim already homepage active who has a Active on it and open the web browser BB, according to the website on which I open the web browser chooses between the internet Wi - fi OR internet BIS carrier which is weird. BECAUSE a default if the wifi is enabled, then the web browser MUST use internet wifi network carrier for navigation. YOU TUBE, FB and TWITTER.com all use my carrier netwrok to open bt soon I open BBC.com or CNN or any other site the wifi symbol appears on the right side and so it uses the wifi network... and disappears when I opened THE 3 SITES you tube FB n twitter.

  My knowledge is that when you activate THE wifi network, the WEB browser is intended to USE the wireless internet, NOT the internet carrier

  The next time I switchd off the the carrier signal, and then Turned ON one internet WI - FI and then opened the web browser of BB. so now all the opend website with wifi internet bt as soon as I open YOU TUBE or FB or TWITTER.com it post a comment... .that cannot visit the web page when the carrier is off. Please turn on the radio n try again... I mean IT SHOULD OPEN with internet wifi? WHY do network carrier sim to open the web page?

  I have checkd my browser settings and they are default and also my wifi settings I have reset the... the problem still persists?

  any idea wats going on?

  Go to your service books and remove directories of service WAP browser in all directories of service WAP 3 I don't know the exact name, but all are related to the browser... WAP config something like dat... Just remove dem... .and HARD restart your fone... and try to use only wifi on your device with your carrier network off...

  mine worked... Let me know on urs... so now, the browser uses my wifi instead of my network provider when both are running...

  I have a 9700 "BOLD" giving me connection problems so I thought to change the operating system on the phone. I installed proceeding on my curve 9300 7 times, and he was free of any problems. Then, I decided to downgrade it to version 6.6.0.195 A6.0.0.526, but the same error given application loader. So basically am stuck, the application loader does not load the OS on my device. I found an online forum where I was advised to find a BONE for my carrier, but unfortunately, there is nothing available at Airtel or MTN Zambia. Please advise me on what to do.

  Most often when you perform a manual updrade, the charger does not just because of any PROVIDER. File XML in our PC. It was important to ensure than any SUPPLIER. XML is left undone, on your Pc change your records option to show the hidden files/folders and search again that there may be 2 or 3 SELLER. XML files also remove or uninstall any other BlackBerry Device Software is from your PC.

  Make sure that you use the latest BlackBerry Desktop Software, or download it from BlackBerry desktop softwarehere.

  So please check these things again.

Whenever I would try to resemble something upwards using the internet from my blackberry it woud still say something about the subscription. In addition, for messages there it would not allow me to send stuff only save drafts for her, that's why I used the SMS and MMS text to work around my messages. So PLEASE someone please help me understand this problem!

  Well, it's basically what I said earlier.

  The part of your contract with your operator voice covers some elements:

  • Voice
  • Voicemail
  • SMS/MMS
  • (I'm not sure - T-Mobile can give you the full list)

  The data item for your contract covers other elements:

  • Internet browser
  • E-mail
  • Applications that require internet access
  • (I know - T-Mobile can give you the full list)

  You will only receive what you contract for services. So, if you don't have a data contract with T-Mobile, you won't get these services.

  Contact T-Mobile and find out what your policy covers. If it covers the services to which you do not have access, it must be changed (since you're already paying for it). If it does not cover data and that you want these services, then you must add to your contract (for the $$$ they will charge).

  So are you sure that you are connected to the blackberry network...

  How can I check if I connected to blackberry?

  Check the network on the phone with the network it will show you the 3 G, EDGE or GPRS capital...!

  And if so, try to ask for the services again... How?  go to Options > then peripheral > Advance system settings > then open host Routing Table > subsequently, click on the blackberry menu button > select Register...

  Hard reset (remove the battery and put it again) & see...
