Problem with Apple Mobile Device Support in Windows 7

I can't install Apple Mobile Device support.

I uninstalled all the components of iTunes, in the order suggested by the apple support.

Apple Mobile Device support is not there - it does not appear as a program to uninstall; There no folders or files in Program Files (x 86) for her.

iTunes works, but when I try to connect an iPad or an iPod, he said simply that the amendments are expired, uninstall and reinstall (actually that is not there, and still less to day).

Then, when I try to reinstall iTunes, running as an administrator in an environment of clean boot, he goes through many steps.

During installation, I can see it attack the AMDS, it copies the files and the green bar fills gradually until the end, he stops and poster "backward", the green bar go gradually back to nothing. It is then with all the other components and so-called ends successfully. But the amendments is still not there.

The only place where I can find mention of AMDS is that if I look at services in the Task Manager windows - AMDS appears in the list even after all is uninstalled. Even if it is listed, it is not running as I put it to stop and it is disabled at startup.  None of the other components appear on my list of services when I uninstalled iTunes.

I think that the amendments was not completely uninstalled, and there is somewhere that says that the iTunes install do not to install as a component somehing. AMDS always seems to be hiding somewhere, but I'm at a loss to know where or how to delete it.

Any help would be welcome.

You should ask in the forums of Apple. You can Google for the URL.

I'm trying to update my iTunes and the iPod Touch, and in doing so, he failed and said that I needed to uninstall the Apple Mobile Device Support and completely reinstall iTunes.  In any case, I can uninstall everything except the Apple Mobile Device Support - I get a message that a fatal error has occurred and it is impossible to uninstall.  Apple told me that it was a matter of Windows and contact you for assistance.  I rebooted and everything else cannot remove one yet this app.
    (I'm on Windows XP Professional)

    Fixed the problem for me:

I just went through a problem with Apple Mobile Device Support as well.  I continued uninstall then just before reaching 100%, it starts tracking return return to 0%.  I have windows 7.

    Panel--> uninstall a program

Do a right-click Apple Mobile Device Support--> change

A window will appear asking if you want to repair or remove.  I said repair

Once the repair is completed, return to Panel--> uninstall a program

Double click or right click, uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support.

He appeared after that he says he has completed the installation, but when I right click on it windows says it has already been uninstalled and removed from the list.

Hope this helps you like it has helped me.  I imagine that there is another way to get the option to repair/remove apple screen by running some .exe, then you can try to track down if you have an older operating system.

  • Apple Mobile Device Support new download problems with update iTunes on XP

iTunes tells me to uninstall both iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support (AMDS) then reinstall iTunes and amendments comes with installation... Problem is that it is not download the new AMDS with the new iTunes, and I have a Windows XP

    * original title - I bought an iPod touch connected and installed the new iTunes and: you need the latest version of the Apple Mobile Device support *.

This is the old version of AMDS: http://apple-mobile-device-support.software.informer.com/.  The thing is, you're using the latest version of iTunes this version can not install because iTunes includes a verson later program when it installs (and so installing this one can either do not work or may cause problems).  If you have the latest version of iTunes installed, you should already have the latest version of AMDS.  Do you mean that it is not compatible with XP?  You could try to downgrade to an earlier version of iTunes that does not include the amendments and use the link above to add and see if it works - but your iPod may require the latest version and does not work with earlier versions of if or not you want to try this (I wouldn't bother) is up to you.

  • iTunes requires a newer Version of Apple Mobile Device Support

I recently had a problem with iTunes not recognizing my iPhone, so I reinstalled the latest version of iTunes on my PC. Since then I have now received this error:

iTunes requires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support, then reinstall iTunes.

I followed these steps, only to get the same error. I then stopped Apple Mobile Device Support Services, manually delete the files in c:\ProgramData\Apple\Installer Cache, repair the installation of iTunes and restart services, only to get the same result.

    I use iTunes 12 and 10 Windows.

Would like to be able to sync my phone again.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

  • iPad: pilot USB MTP / Apple Mobile Device Support Driver update failed - access denied

    Hi all

I do iTunes/iPad/AMDS rerun (Win7 Ultimate 64 bit). After the last update of iTunes to 11.1, I'm not able to install the Apple Mobile Device Support any longer. Usbaapl64 installation fails. Even a manual update is not possible (access denied).

Before you uninstall, the iPad has been recognized as Apple Mobile Device Support, but using the old version located in system32. Same result trying to update the driver manually - access denied. After you have uninstalled the ADM the iPad is recognized as Apple iPad to portable devices (in dev mgmt). Updating the driver (and selecting the usbaapl64 in CommonFiles/Apple/Apple Mobile Support folder) still fails - access denied.

Even to disable UAC, using the account hidden administrator and start Windows in safe mode will not grant access. I have no idea what to do now. Is this a normal behavior or y at - it something very wrong in my system? I don't want to format my system.

    Thanks in advance.

PS: Windows is up to date
P.P.S.: Tried numerous solutions of Apple, articles, forums, google, re - install iTunes and what you have. Nothing has worked.

    I have it.

Have a look in the newspaper of the setupapi.app.log and setupapi.dev.log C:\Windows\inf files I discovered that management installation program / unit was not able to create a temp folder in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore and was not yet able to copy the files in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository.

After you change the access rights (gave me and SYSTEM full access), I was able to update the driver USB MTP driver Apple Mobile Device real Support. Later, I was able to install iTunes without any problems during the installation of the pilot AMDS.

Took me only 4 days to the indicator with the search in the log files mentioned above-. -.

    Hey Bcoons21,

This issue would be better addressed by Apple, as the program file is related to their software. You can contact through this site:

    http://www.Apple.com/support/contact/

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

You could start by looking to restart the Apple Mobile Device (AMDS) on Windows - Apple Support.

  • Windows XP "Apple Mobile Device Driver not installed not" device need driver mobile HELP running XP service pack 3 using an iphone 4

Problems with the iphone 4 who it says in itunes that "Apple Mobile Device Driver not found" and nothing happens when it is connected to the USB port on charge even not. Running Windows XP 32-bit with Service Pack 3. but think I deleted all the drivers mobile when I uninstalled my Blackberry and removed the current mobile device drivers. Apple went through just fine and everything is OK it is a problem of PC and XP. Microsoft help put me on this site because need to know how to solve this problem I hope that somewhere there are mobile device drivers that work with the iphone? Site Internet de Microsft has 5 mobile device for Windows 7 drivers, but not for XP. Need help!

Apple went through just fine and everything is OK it is a problem of PC and XP.

Evasive classic.  It's always the problem of the other guy.

And the classic response of some evil-educated person "technical support":

Microsoft help put me on this site

If the error message says 'Mobile Apple Device not found Driver' then it's an Apple problem, pure and simple.  The device driver mobile for the iPhone comes from Apple, not Microsoft.

Do you remember what you were doing when you "deleted all the drivers mobile when I uninstalled my Blackberry and removed the current mobile device drivers?"

Probably not... and you have not explained what has been included in "Apple went through everything."  It is time to start over by removing everything related to Apple and then put it back correctly.

First, however, the fact that the iPhone does not load even when connected to a USB port is a bit worrying.  Works in everything else in this USB port (for example, a USB flash drive)?

Have you tried all the USB ports on your computer?  Take a look in the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK) and see if there are any icons showing warning.  If so, double-click on the entry and information "device status".

Take a look at the event viewer (start > run > eventvwr > OK).  There is no need to go far.  Connect your iPhone, then look at the newspapers (System and Application) for since a few minutes see if there are any errors or warnings.  If so, double-click on it to get the event properties window, and then click the "Copy" icon (just below of the)

Have you tried to recharge the iPhone using the adapter connected to Apple's USB cable?  Does it work?

Assuming that the hardware (iPhone, USB cable, and USB ports on your computer) is not working properly, see the following topics.

To perform a "clean" iTunes installation uses this technique proposed, from Support of Apple HT1926 article.

Warning: uninstall utility for cleaning Windows mentioned in the instructions below has been removed from Microsoft download servers because sometimes it seems more removed he was supposed to (I think that this phenomenon was linked to the bureau uninstalls).  You can still get utility Windows Installer Cleanup--> http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html here is a free alternative Revo Uninstaller. Before using these cleaning products, you must create a restore point from the system first (or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT).  See http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htm a complete disk image would be safer if you have this ability.

Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs
    Remove these applications:
    1 Apple Software Update
    2. Apple Mobile Device Support
    3 Hello
4 iPod for Windows (this may or may not exist, be it, it is not necessary, then we can remove it)
    5 iTunes
    6 QuickTime

Open my computer > C: > Program Files
    Delete this files (if present)
    1 iPod
    2 iTunes
    3 QuickTime

    Empty your temp directory:
Open my computer > C: > Documents & Settings > username > Local Settings and delete the contents of the folder called "Temp".

If you don't see the local settings, enable hidden files:
Tools > Folder Options > view tab
Select Show Hidden Files & folder, and then click OK

Once this file is empty, restart the computer

Download & install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility: [see note above regarding cleanup utility]
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301/
Launch the utility: start > programs > Windows Installer Clean Up
Select one of the applications mentioned above and click on remove

    Restart the computer
Download & reinstall iTunes from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

  • The Apple Mobile Device Service service on Local computer started and then stopped.

My iDevice doesn't connect to iTunes, I think its a result of the apple mobile device service. The restart option doesn't come up, it just says  "start the service" and when I click that an error comes up which says "The Apple Mobile Device Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if not in use by other services or programs". (I've already got a post with this information on I just wanted to make it more clear)

If your iOS device does not appear in iTunes, try the following:

    1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
    2. Plug in your device
    3. Locate Bus USB Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB.
    4. Right-click and select software update of the driver...
    5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
    6. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
      C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
    7. Click on let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
    8. Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
    9. Click Next, then close and exit the Device Manager

To step 3 above, open the Device Manager. Expand one of the articles that are listed.

    • USB Bus controllers
    • Imaging devices
    • Portable devices
    • Other devices

Plug in the appliance. You should hear the telltale Windows sound device connection and a Division must acquire a new entry. This should be your device. It cannot be labelled properly at this point. If you do not hear a suspicious noise cable damaged.

Or try If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod - Apple Support

If not try a complete tear down and rebuild iTunes in accordance with the resolution of the problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

Or try to go back to the last version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the programs installation of iTunes to download links. If you roll back to 12.3.3.17 to 12.3.2.35, for example, then you will also need restore the database in the manner described in the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library. The tip makes suggestions to reintroduce recent purchases, so at worst, you lose a few meters or a newly created playlist.

  • Hello/iTunes/Apple Mobile Device not install even though I am the administrator

Since end of February I could not reinstall ITunes.  It all started when I tried to put in day, and it wouldn't work.  In the end I uninstalled ITunes and tried to reinstall, but I kept getting this message that the Apple Mobile Device could not be installed (?), and I need to check that I have sufficient privileges to install.

    Since then, I have:

    Ran as administrator

Made sure that 'everyone', 'my user' and the 'administrator' (pretty much just me) have full access

    Disabled user account control

    Cleaned the registry with CCleaner

Command prompt to check the C drive?

Nothing has worked.  I even went in the ITunes folder where my music is, was the administrator, and it still does not.  Recently, I uninstalled Quicktime, Hello and the Apple Mobile Device... everything that Apple.  Still would not work.  I got:

"'Hello Service' (morning Service) service could not be installed.  Make sure you have sufficient privileges to install system services. ».  If I hit "ignore", then it will just do the same except replace "Hello" with "Apple Mobile Device".

    I am at a loss.

    Well, I have a Hewlett-Packard laptop

HP Pavilion Notebook PC g6. 64-bit operating system.

Processor: AMD A4 - 3305M APU with 2 locations, 2 Lossnay, 1900 Mhz, graphics HD Radeon (TM)

If you need more information, let me know (and maybe how to get it).

    I'm REALLY at a lost.

I posted my reply because of what you have posted; It was incomplete and I thought that you might have missed something:

Recently, I uninstalled Quicktime, Hello and the Apple Mobile Device... everything that Apple.

    There was also:

    Apple Software Update

Application of Apple Support (iTunes 9 or later)
On some systems, iTunes can install two versions of the Apple Application Support. What is expected. If both are present, do not forget to uninstall both versions.

If it still does not, take my advice and contact Apple technical support or ask in their community.
