  I bought this laptop recently and it turns out that I have problems with some games of tearing.
  But with all the games, only some of them (ex: the Triune Witcher, borderlands,...).

  So I was wondering what could be the problem?
  So far, I've heard that could be a problem of v-sync, but everything I made this topic has not changed a thing.

  Is this just a software problem or would it be a hardware problem with the graphics card?

  Could you be more specific?

  You said that you have some problems, but NOT with all the games.
  That is why I don't think you have a hardware problem

  Hello, I just joined here because I can't find an answer anywhere, I hope you can help me :)

  As the title says, I have problems to run games on my lap top, I can't run any game I have installed on it, they all show an error or do not launch at all. First of all for all, my computer specs:
  HP Pavilion dv7, running Windows 7 edition full 64-bit
  Intel Core i7 Q720 @1. 60 Ghz
  6 GB of RAM
  GeForce GT 320M with Directx 11
  And the games I've tried so far:
  -Roller coaster tycoon 3 Platinum (it shows Directx 9 not found)
  -Euro Truck Simulator 1 (in the settings window, I can't change between OpenGL and Directx, and it will not open with OpenGl I don't know why)
  -Euro Truck Simulator 2 (it crashes just before the splash screen)
  -Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (similar to the 2 Euro truck Simulator)
  -Age of Mythology - The Titans Expansion ('Failed to initialize')
  And I must say that all of these games has a great like 5 months ago (Yes, I have 5 months without playing an any of them).
  I will zoom checked drivers video card, update to the latest directx and I tried to downgrade my directx to version 10, but it seems to be impossible.
  It also shows, on DX diag on the section "Screen", DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture as 'unavailable '.
  Any ideas on how I can solve it? Thanks in advance, if you need info. just tell me :)

  Thank you for your quick response, I solved it today morning, I had to downgrade somehow the video card drivers and thn update again, and it worked, if anyone has the same problem, try to do this and hope it works for you also.

  Hello, I have a 8 Hp flow Tablet and I wanted to play old games. I know that I would not be able to play resource intensive games like Skyrim on a Tablet, but I wanted to play games like heretic or wolfenstein 3d, which made for very old machines which had way fewer features than my tablet. These games require a BACK emulator called DOSBOX to emulate the old machine.

  When dosbox starts, it immediately closes and displays a message saying 'could not initialize DirectInput. I also have the message of the emulator zsnes super Nintendo Games.

  I checked the dxDiag program and I have Directx 11 is installed.

  Is there something that I am missing? Or the Tablet is not compatible with DirectX?

  There is a patch for dosbox, which makes it suitable for tablets without having to connect a mouse:

  I guess now that dosbox works, I should try to use the version of zsnes BACK instead of windows with Dosbox and see how that comes out (the patch is only for dosbox, I have not found one for zsnes).

  Why is it that whenever I have try and install a game that requires win95-for win 2000 it does not everything with my windows vista it also I cannot download from disc info for my printer and it's the same question is what can I do to solve this problem

  What games are you trying to install?  It is a good chance that it uses a 16-bit installation program that will ask you to find the setup.exe and run it as administrator to install correctly.  I have a simple philosophy: just assume everyone is a piece of c.r.a.p. and then be pleasantly surprised if you find someone who is not.

• Problem with Windows games

  I'm having a problem playing the games that are installed with windows vista.  Solitaire, Minesweeper etc.  My laptop is around the age of 4 months.  I really can't play these games before, with the exception of a single game.

  When I click the icon Solitaire another window opens with a folder named Microsoft Games, which opens and there is a folder named Purble Palace with a saved game of comfy cakes.  Even when I right click on the icon it does not give me the opportunity to play.

  Anyone has an idea why I can't play these games?  No idea how to either get them to work and download or install these games again?

  You can reinstall the games by going to start > Control Panel > programs > turn windows features on or turn it off, look for games and checkmark the box, if they are checked, simply uncheck to uninstall and then recheck to install them again!

  I ran into this problem on my XP computer. I know, I know. Old school freak who has not made a change for Vista... closing. In any case, I'm having a problem with the compatibility of the SP3 with a SP2 game, otherwise known as Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I have more demands. I have a lot of space. The problem occurs when going from open screen of editing on the menu screen. It gives me an error. I have established this as a SP3 problem and would really like to know if there is a way back, or using a compatibility mode to use the program as SP2 without installing SP3. If there is a patch for SP3, which corrects compatibility issues, which work as well!

• Problem with deleted game

  I have recently uninstalled a game from my PC through Control Panel control/uninstall. But my problem starts when I finished tne uninstall. In folder where was a game that I uninstalled another game that has been deleted with the uninstallation of the first game, because the system has deleted all the folders and subfolders. Now, when I run the instalation of a game I acidentally removed with the uninstalaltion of the first part it is said: the game is already instaled. You want to start the uninstall? When I click Yes, nothing happens... A system can not install a game because it was not properly uninstalled and it "thinks" it is installed on my machine and cannot uninstall because the game egsists not really starts. I run Windows 7.
