Problem with email and SMS, after 1.3.5

First, I would like to say that I like the Pre. Up to this point, he's been perfect - I have a replacement, but it's because I gave up (bad angle, bad location, broken screen). However, following the 1.3.5 update I have now a problem quite important with email and sms - I can receive messages and email, but not send them.

I have two e-mail accounts. My personal account is with earthlink. My business account through an ISP that uses the domain name of my employer. I do not use Microsoft Exchange or Outlook. I tried to remove and reinsert accounts and that did not work. I can receive messages but receive error messages when I try to send.

Ditto for Messaging. I don't use it very often. But yesterday I receive a text message and tried to answer and got the error message.

I power the phone off every night because I have a landline phone and use it as the main telephone at home.

I looked around bulletin boards, trying to find a solution for this. Has anyone had this problem and it was resolved?

I forgot to add that there is a stock of pre. There is no patch or homebrew apps.

I found a fix for the problem of e-mail messages on precentral and this Council a few months ago. The info came in a Google search and not the research councils, which is frustrating. Had the same problem. Checked with Earthlink - no help. Checked with Sprint - without help. Checked with Palm - no help. Finally, here's what worked:

Problems with WRT54GS and EasyLink after the addition of the Comcast Digital phone.

I had a working network. Cable modem (Comcast), WRT54GS, 2 PCs per (an XP/SP3, a Vista Home Edition SP1), 2 cable PC laptop wireless (an XP/SP3, a Vista Home Edition SP1) and a HP OfficeJet 7210 printer (connected to WRT54GS as a network printer). Everything was going well and worked.

Then, I added the Comcast Digital phone. Obviously, they went for a new modem cable modem cable with the phone service option. Now I can't print to the wired Vista PC OfficeJet and EasyLink displays "initializing" for too long I'll wait (5 minutes).

Finally, I must kill EasyLink from the Task Manager. Any help or ideas appreciated!

I solved the problem. It turns out the new modem cable and problem with EasyLink initialization were 'diversion '.

The problem turns out to be a classic network problem! The Vista PC wired had a wrong IP address. The wireless PC XP has the printer configured with the name of network instead of the network address (IP, for example).

When I deleted the printer on the Vista PC and added to the correct address everything worked fine.

I think you are talking after upgrade to CC 2015 you're not able to launch I. Also, I believe you speak for read only matter of preference.

After following the instructions please do not launch Illustrator and check your file preference if the permissions have been set correctly. A good way would be to get inside the preferences folder and then try to create a file manually. If it succeeds, please write to [email protected]

BlackBerry Z10 Z10, problem with Gmail and BIS

I just got a new Z10 and had all configured to discover that my primary e-mail service, Gmail, does not work if the only internet access is through the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS).

When I configured first, I got Wi - Fi active (other than BIS, I don't have a data plan as my main focus is email). As it was my 3 services e-mail (Gmail, Hotmail and my prived ISP service) all the connected without problem. It was only after I turned off WiFi that I discovered that while my other two services work fine, my Gmail account has become "not connected".

I tried everything I could think of, including delete my Gmail account, do a reboot cold and then try setting up the account to new as well as doing a reset complete, I could start over again. All to nothing does not. Only if the WiFi is on what can I cannect to Gmail and that doesn't help me if I don't have a Wi - Fi service.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might try?

You may be right about Gmail not supporting ActiveSync, but on the device the Z10 was supposed to replace (Torch 9860 running os 7.1.0) no problem with Gmail and BIS, so there must be something unique about BB10 on the Z10.

BIS is not used on BB10. BB10 access directly servers of e-mail now.

My headset is a Bluetooth de Motorola 500. I can dial numbers on my speed dial list manually and via voice command and the headset works fine. When I dial the same number to a speed dial I hear the dial unfold the headset turns off and I hear everything through the phone. If I hang up and call another call, the headset is very good. Verizon has replaced the phone thinking it was a hardware problem, but no change. Did I miss a setting somewhere?

If Verizon replaced the phone and you still get problems, there are two potential problems that create this problem:
1. Your phone is not properly the pairing with the headset. Once Verizon updated their operating system (OS), this can be resolved as bluetooth was supposed to be improved in later operating systems.
2. Your helmet is simply not fully compatible with the phone. I used a Motorola H680 headset and a BlackBerry HS655 + with my Storm and had no problems.
My best guess? It's probably a combination of 1 and 2 and I'm sure that's all just a related software. My only suggestion at this point is to wait for Verizon update the operating system for your phone, or you might try an upgrade to another carrier if you wish. Let us know if you need help with this, but be aware that Verizon doesn't have to endure phones running operating systems that they do not officially support (you can go back if necessary).

Pavilion 15 laptop: problems with stop and "standby" mode.

I upgraded from windows 8.1 for windows 64 bit home 10. I had problems with stop and goes into sleep mode and cannot be resolved, then I reinstalled windows 10. Everything worked fine for a few moments, and then the same problem reappeared. I can't stop or put my PC into sleep mode, unless I have first of all to make a restart. After a reboot, I am able to stop or go to sleep mode without problem. If I try to do either without a restart, the screen goes black and the indicator light remains lit. The only way I can get it to start then press on and hold the power button and force a shutdown down, then press the power button to restart the upward. I want to create a film based on shots from my personal camera. I started to work with IMovie to create a sequence of opening and added his musical band. I exported the scenes in Quick Time format without any problem. However, when I merge the exported sequence of I film with shots of my video camera, the soundtrack is completely eliminated.

I checked on the Internet and saw that there might be a problem of "Codecs". To avoid this, I exported the sequence IMovie with Codecs of same as one of my video camera files.

Now, if I compare the files exported from I Movie and those of my video camera, they have identical characteristics. However, the soundtrack will always disappear when I merge them.
