• ESXi5 - problems with NFS and the data copy store

  I recently moved into a solution fully virtualized for my network, 3 x 5 ESXi servers running on our GigE network.

  First of all, I use all free software from VMware, so vCentre etc is out of the question.

  I have major problems when you try to copy files between:

  • NAS (NFS) to ESXi 5 host
  • ESXi host to the NAS (NFS) 5
  • And using VMware converter between ESXi 5 hosts converter Standalone

  The problem is that whenever I'm transfer between hosts I am struck with the horrible network performance. Even if I use GigE adapters and switches between my hosts I will receive no more than 12 Mbps speed of transfer real (100 Mbit/s connect?).

  On the flipside, if I use virtual guests on the same exact host I can happily transfer data between my NAS (NFS) servers with speeds between 60-150MBps ~ (1000 Mbps).

  Examples:

  Speed of 10 Mbps of transfer of ESXi_1 copy OF NFS data store share ~

  Server2008 (comments, located on ESXi_1) copy OF NFS 75MBps transfer rate ~.

  Server2011 SBS (comments, located on ESXi_2) copy OF Windows share 2008 (ESXi_1) transfer speed 120MBps. ~

  ESXi_2 copy OF NFS data store share transfer rate 5MBps ~.

  Attached (wtf.png) example:

  I copy a file that is located on our NFS share first, it's a 3 GB file to the copy within guest OS (2008), it is indicated in blue - top speed of 80MBps

  I copy the same exact NFS share for the host (datastore1), this is indicated in red - top speed of 7.5Mbps

  The third transfer/s (green) is between the customers of windows on different hosts, transfer a 6 GB file as well as a copy of the 360 MB file - transfers two happily send to GigE speeds with a peak around 40MBps

  I can reflect these results across the three servers without modification. Copies between you will be able to run well enough (not exactly 100% use of GigE) but at the moment where I try to do something to the data store it will just choke at all about a 100 Mbps connection speed.

  The final image (wot.png) confuses me beyond belief. I would try to explain what is happening here:

  • This image shows two times the same exact file transfers, except even machine PHYSICS
  • The first (red) transfer between the ESXi_2 host server and the NFS share using the browser data store and direct download - its top speed is around 8MBps
  • The second (green) transfer between a guest server 2008 running on ESXi_2, download the same file exactly at the exact location using vSphere Client. I mean the same EXACT file; It connects to the NFS drive by the data store ESXi_2 (NFS share).

  Why on earth can my comments directly download a file on a data store connected to NFS GigE clocked and yet the same exact host cannot go anywhere near corresponding to these speeds?

  As indicated in the title, the problem seems to happen whenever I use ESXi datastore browser on the host computer using vSphere Client or between browser datastore ESXi to/from an NFS share.

  No one knows what might happen?

  Is there some sort of restriction on the transfer of files between a host and shared NFS ESXi 5? Whence this bottleneck?

• Problem with IMovie and Quick time

  I am faced with an unexpected problem with Quicktime and I Movie, and I was wondering if someone had already known that:

  I want to create a film based on shots from my personal camera. I started to work with IMovie to create a sequence of opening and added his musical band. I exported the scenes in Quick Time format without any problem. However, when I merge the exported sequence of I film with shots of my video camera, the soundtrack is completely eliminated.

  I checked on the Internet and saw that there might be a problem of "Codecs". To avoid this, I exported the sequence IMovie with Codecs of same as one of my video camera files.

  Now, if I compare the files exported from I Movie and those of my video camera, they have identical characteristics. However, the soundtrack will always disappear when I merge them.

  How would you"merge" files? (I.e. a "QuickTime" format is any form of data compatible with the platform of supply and the specific structure of QT incorporated into real employment that is stored in a container of MOV file on any of up to 99 tracks possible).   I had the same problem. At the same time hold the screen lock button and the home button until your iPhone restarts. That solved the problem for me.

  I had my Pavilion dv8 for awhile.  I started having problems with the slider treble/bass control. He would sporadically pop-up and begin to change the treble or bass at irregular intervals. He also unplug randomly my wireless connection. I tried to solve the problem by downloading a driver, but the problem remains. At first, it was just a little annoying, fixed by clicking the mouse or pressing the upper button of the internet, but now it of REALLY boring, popping up even as I write this post.   I have a problem with youtube and other video sites:

  Everything is up-to-date (flash, FF, my plug ins.) but I get crashes when loading the video. I can hear the sound but I see only the first frame of the video.

  I've reinstalled flash/firefox or tried updating them again for about 4 times now and my cookies/cache has also been errased which i usually don't do. If i enter FF's safe mode it also freezes.
  

  I hope someone can help, I looked for answers on google before and I tried everything I saw, but it did not help.

  I had the same problem, I uninstalled the plugin Flash player (Adobe Flash Player 11.0.1 152) and the problem is solved. I installed the plug-in again and the problem came back. So right now I have no flas Player liked-in, but I don't have too much problem. I hope that I will not find another problem, but it seems that everything is OK.

• BlackBerry Z10 Z10, problem with Gmail and BIS

  I just got a new Z10 and had all configured to discover that my primary e-mail service, Gmail, does not work if the only internet access is through the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS).

  When I configured first, I got Wi - Fi active (other than BIS, I don't have a data plan as my main focus is email). As it was my 3 services e-mail (Gmail, Hotmail and my prived ISP service) all the connected without problem. It was only after I turned off WiFi that I discovered that while my other two services work fine, my Gmail account has become "not connected".

  I tried everything I could think of, including delete my Gmail account, do a reboot cold and then try setting up the account to new as well as doing a reset complete, I could start over again. All to nothing does not. Only if the WiFi is on what can I cannect to Gmail and that doesn't help me if I don't have a Wi - Fi service.

  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might try?

  You may be right about Gmail not supporting ActiveSync, but on the device the Z10 was supposed to replace (Torch 9860 running os 7.1.0) no problem with Gmail and BIS, so there must be something unique about BB10 on the Z10.

  BIS is not used on BB10. BB10 access directly servers of e-mail now.

  Have you tried to configure gmail so that the signal from the carrier and not on wifi?

  As you can see in 10g that I don't have the last row, it seems that Oracle 10 g does not recognize the LEFT OUTER JOIN.
  
  Is this a bug?, Metalink says that sometimes we can have an ORA-0600, but in this case there is no error results returned, just incorrect.

  What about try the original Oracle method for outer joins? Using (+) without the extra space

• Problem with ECS and XSD

  Hi gurus B2B.
  We are facing the problem with ECS and last 2 weeks XSD files, we followed measures
  
  1 created an ECS file in document editor version 11 g: 6.6.0
  2 files ECS consists only from segments ST and SE
  Ex: ST
  BCH
  HEART
  REF
  BY - Exclude
  TAX - Exclude
  ...
  .....
  ....
  ....
  IS
  3: file ECS from a file (File-> export-> Oracle B2B) XSD in document ediotr
  
  4. we have imported an ECS and XSD file in console B2B (documents - file ECS docdef-transaction set) and an XSD file
  
  5. we have tested a single file of manually, we face below error:
  
  B2B-51507 error code
  Error Description Machine Info: Description of the (usmtnz - dinfap19.dev.emrsn.org): payload validation error.
  ERROR_LEVEL_COLLABORATION error level
  Severity of the error
  Error text
  
  and a few times it shows load Guideline error or just simply

  You can validate EDI XML with XSD is.

  1 can I use 10 g ECS file and XSD file in 11 G

  You need to upgrade using Oracle Document B2B Publisher (Migrator).

  Error, error short text: the item includes all the important data

  Make sure that the payload is encoded in UTF - 8. B2B Oracle only works with UTF-8 encoding.

  CS5 and 10.11 are not supported and will never be supported by Adobe or Apple.

  However it works for some, more actually, but not all. There are sporadic problems with Illustrator, Photoshop seems to be the best. Do not expect an improvement and keep in mind that anyone from Adobe, Apple or anywhere else will fix it.

  Do a clean install

  Make sure you have the Apple Java

  Make sure you have your serial number and if you are having problems with the serial number or the serialization however adobe of web server will not support your problem.

  update the application via photoshop.
