Problem with m230: not enough space for music DB. Please free 8 MB.

OK, so. Hi, I'm new in this forum.

Then.  I wanted to listen to music. SanDisk initialize arrived, then the 512 MB Sansa m230 and then the error:

Not enough space for music DB. Please free 8 MB.

And then you can see: no files 0/0. And the battery is fully charged. I thought that the...

So I decided to connect m230 to my computer. First initialization, then the error came, had to wait a bit and then... the Sansa screen shows:

USB connected MTP (and this popped into my computer: http://i30.tinypic.com/2i9jo82.png)

Then. I open Sansa m230 in my computer and the folder that I saw was: RECORDING

Well... I'm sure many of you could suggest me to format or reset. But... There is a problem:

Where is the format button? (http://i31.tinypic.com/dvoky9.png)

Then. I tried to format it in computer management. Device Manager > portable devices >
Sansa m230. But... where is the format? (http://i31.tinypic.com/10x7q06.png)

I went through a few topics, and someone suggested to format under removable storage, but there is no m230.

Then I thought that I try the FirmWare update. But... the error popped up:

The following error occurred: your device is in MTP mode. It can only be updated in MSC mode. Please disconnect your device and switch to MSC mode if you want to check the updates.

But good... How can I change the mode MSC, coz... If I press the menu button on my m230, always pops up an error:

Not enough space for music DB. Please free 8 MB. I can't do nothing in the menus. Aaand by the way, I have this player mp3 more than a year, so there is no guarantee or something for me I guess.

Then. is there a way to do the hard reset or something? Is there a way to fix my m230? Feel free to ask me questions. I would be very happy if you answer.

Aaand... Sorry for my English. I'm not from English speaking countries

All the best,

MagicIsland

Hello MagicIsland, you may need to format your device, but it will delete everything on your player to try to see if you can always save the files when you connect your device by following these steps.

Yes I do in MSC mode. In fact I did it in through the Windows Recovery mode: switch to orange, press record and start at the same time. I'm not aware of sansa.fmt I'll look into it. What worries me the most, is that I'm only seeing 16mg of storage on a 8gig machine, I am afraid I can have blown memory storage. I had all kinds of problems with this machine mainly MTP mode and message code 10 on machines running Vista sp1 and 11 units media center. So I tried to format it and that's how I got here. I tried all the suggestions for the problem of PSG in FAQ nothing helps. It worked fine on XP and Vista A pre - sp1 machine. I think something has changed with media center 11 and PSG maybe a new driver. I have the same problem with my wifes (PSG 10 code) sansa, except that I have not formatted so it always works. I think we can be directed to the ipod if I can't get this resolved.

  • Not enough space for music DB and must free up space

My Sansa was working fine and then I downloaded music on the sansa. Then it says not enough space for music DB and I need to clear 90 MB. I was downloading music on the sd card in the mp3. Now when I plug it into my computer it will not sync with my Media Player. I deleted all my music from my Media Player and synchronize it manually upwards and it will not always remove the song on the sansa. Please help someone!

Use the Format function in the settings menu to erase the memory completely and read this FAQ.

  • Not enough space for music DB error message.

Hello. Whenever I try to open my Sansa clip mp3 player continues to display the message: "not enough space for music DB. Please free 30 MB. And I have 2 GB. It happened when my brother said he tried to better the music so he can get over. That's all what he says is reached. Now I can't fix it. I tried to remove even the files that are on it that did not help. It comes only to return when I reopen it the Clip. Is there someone who knows the solution to this? Thank you very much.

It's the extreme solution. Try this first.

  • Not enough space for music DB - but so car can be recognized on mac or PC

Saturday my sansa (v2) e240 filled after recording radio then I got the message "not enough PACE for music db' - free up to 90 MB. This is not normally a problem I plug it into my mac and remove sufficient podcasts to solve the problem.

However this time when I plugged the sansa, only the SD card would indicate all files and internal drive has prompted a message not recognized disk, inviting them to initialize or eject. The files are also not identified using XNJB or Windows XP (on my work laptop). I have also run the terminal and that the SD card is rated

As with Windows security issues prevent me from transferring files on removable devices on my laptop, I need a solution that is simple for my mac. Initialization of the disk will be the solution or is it cause other problems?

I had a good look in the ABI forums as well as forums of Sandisk, but it doesn't seem to be any similar incident posted or whatever it is in the manual or FAQ - please excuse me if I missed them.

I don't want to go out and replace my sansa with an ipod - this is my second (my first overturned the idea of them being more robust than the ipod fragile by did not survive a fall on a ground (moquete) but if Sandisk continues to ignore the Macintosh so I may be, as security issues make it less and less chance to use Windows outside an environment very limited.)

    Thank you

Put in the form of the Explorer had no effect secondary - recognized in the Finder on Mac back upward and running once the settings reset.

  • Sansa Fuze 2 GB keeps closing "not enough space for music db" then it stops?

Not say 'enough space for music DB'... then it stops is not allowing me to remove?

Connect the player to pc and delete some songs in the player using the pc. Be sure to always leave a reasonable amount of free space on the drive (perhaps 70 meg?) then the player can build the database. If I had written the firmware, I would probably have reserved a certain amount of memory for the database, so when people full of songs as much as possible in the drive it would not encounter this problem.

  • Not enough space for music DB. Please free 90 MB

I am a rocket GB 2 last week and has updated the firmware and put enough music on memory internal to leave only 1 MB unused. Here are my instructions

    Windows XP SP3

    Windows Media Player 11

latest version of the firmware (but I can't the player left to tell me the version number - read more)

I got a card of 4 GB uSD to develop the player. I connected to the player and and nearly filled the card. I disconnected and used the player for a day. When I connected the player during a third, my computer some how pass the player in MSC mode (he had missed for the MTP mode initially). WMP did not find any music on the internal memory (probably because the music was added while the player was in MTP mode). With the help of Windows Explorer and look for the files in the folder music on the internal memory showed that the internal memory contained 1.88 GB of files, but none was visible. When I unplugged the "rocket" and attempted to start I had the (get) the error message in the title, and then the "rocket" stops. Is it possible to return the player in MTP mode so that I can access music and use the player? Or should I just reformat the internal memory and set the player to always run in MSC mode? Thank you.

It should be FAT32, but with only 2 GB FAT may be OK. But now that you did in Windows, the format again using integrated format in the SETTING menu on the "rocket". Not only it will form itself in the correct (FAT32) file system, but it will allocate 32 KB clusters instead of clusters of 4 KB minscule uses Windows. Much better (and faster).

  • Not enough space for DB - formatted - now FAT is corrupted

I received an error message after the music to transfer to my Sansa Fuze.  The message indicate that there was not enough space for DB and supposed to free 90 MB.  I have read the instructions on the website and formatted the drive.  Now, I get an error message saying that FAT is corrupted and say to connect it to the PC to get FAT.  I reconnected it to the computer without modification.  Then, I downloaded the firmware zip file and uploaded the file on the disk.  Still no change.  Please notify.

You can try the player formatting MSC mode.  To connect the player in MSC mode, with the player to the wide, slide the switch down to the locked position (you will see an orange color it), and then press and hold the< or="" back="" button="" while="" you="" connect="" the="" fuze="" to="" the="" pc.  ="" you="" may="" have="" to="" continue="" holding="" the="">< button="" down="" for="" a="" while="" until="" you="" get="" a="">

If the computer recognizes the player in form through the computer.  If your drive is a one, fornat 2 GB as FAT.  For a 4 GB or 8 GB, formatted in FAT32.

If it formats correctly and the drive does not operate normally, reformat through the player settings to optimize the memory.

Another thing, sometimes the 'diskspace for DB' message appears due to a bad music file (s).  You can check the files that you have transferred before the trouble began.

I'll tell you what I've done and other individuals who may have this problem

  • Why I see Runtime Error R6016-not enough space for thread data?

All of a sudden when I try to launch Google Chrome, I get "error R6016-not enough space for thread data? ' like Chrome stops. Plenty of hard disk, disk defragmented, no viruses or malware. Never seen this message before.

I think you're on the right track to reinstall Chrome... but they have a method of choice for the best results and that the information is here:

    http://support.Google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=111899

Just FYI, running sfc/scannow won't help, but it will waste your time and you will not be able to determine which file is causing the problem because...

When sfc/scannow runs successfully, you will see a start and complete message in the Event Viewer log system.

It can take a long time to run and slow down your system.  When it starts and stops correctly you can only see events like this in the case where the system log viewer:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64016
Analysis of file File Protection Windows has been started.

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64017
Windows File Protection file analysis completed successfully.

There is no information about what he did or what he did not.

Even if sfc/scannow finds something to do, you will not know about it.

That's why try again more than a waste of time.

  • Re: Satellite U500 begins with the "not enough space in runtime area» message

I have this message at the start of my laptop U500-17: not enough space in runtime area. And after that ask me to press F1 to continue, but nothing happen, and start the windows does not work. I'm trying to get into the Bios, but I have some error and nothing happen. What should I do?

In my opinion, you need to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. I'm afraid that your BIOS is troublemaker and they should Flash the BIOS of Mr. Unfortunately, you can not do this alone.
For owners of Toshiba laptop offer updates of BIOS Win only. With other words, it can be started as a small application for Windows operating system running.

    Monkey,

The computer may be running out of physical space required for migration instead of memory needed to actually to crunch the numbers and run the migration program.

The migration process uses more than 10 GB of space on your computer.

  • HP Split x 2: not enough space for the Windows 10 update

I have a Split of HP x 2 (64 GB SSD, drive hard 500 GB) running Windows 10.  I recently received notification of an update of Windows 10 version 1511, 10586.  Trying to install the update, I get an error message saying that Windows needs more space on C:, specifically 8.13 additional GB.

Settings Windows reports 58.9 gb of 59.2 GB already used on C: which is 47.2 GB ' system and reserved.

The update program says that I can use another drive for the update and I tried the built in D: (more than 200 GB free) and an external drive (900 GB free), but the update will fail with the same message outside a slight reduction in the amount required on C: (7.17 GB) of free space.

I had already cleaned useless all the files using the Windows disk clean and have less than 6 GB in applications and data, in order to get rid of everything that would still runs.

All GB 47.2 OS is really necessary?  Any large pieces I can get rid of, or is the only way an SSD upgrade?

    PeSke

Only in the last day or two, MS has eliminated a new update of Win10 who, claim, addresses the problems of people said that they do not have enough disk space for the Nov 10 update and when they provide you with an external hard drive, it will not use it.

I suggest that you are looking for updates and see if it is applied and then retry the update 10 Nov.

    Good luck

  • not enough space for restore

How to solve the message that there is not enough room to restore?

I'm trying to restore my iTunes from a backup from 2 days ago.  I have less on my machine now that I did then again then.

If the itunes library is very big and it is still on the computer, you cannot restore old... like it will try and copy it directly into the same... You must remove a library iTunes to restore it.

Better restore the library on another disk... for example, a USB plugged into your computer so that you can decide who you want to.
