  I have a Officejet 6500 wireless. It is about 1 1/2 years.  In recent months, is no longer prints black BUT will be exemplary in black.  When I print a test page for the printer from the computer options, it is a greenish color.  If I print a page of test from the HP site... it prints black.  I read a yest blog that allowed me to determine that it was a problem with the driver, not the ink cart.  I have installed and reinstalled the software, but that did not fix the problem.  Any suggestions?

  I am trying to print the darkest possible black, but simply by using the black ink cartridge. How do I get there?

  My printer is HP deskjet 1000 J110 using cartridge HP 301.

  I do my drawing in Adobe Illustrator and set the color to be CMYK 100 100 100 100.

  If I insert only the black cartridge, the printer will leave empty place where color CMY ink should be or it will fill the space with black ink?

  Basically, what I'm trying to do is to increase the density of ink to the highest possible but only using only the black cartridge.

  You can use the mode single-cartridge:

  Use single-cartridge in the HP printer with a single cartridge. Mode single-cartridge begins when an ink cartridge is removed from the distribution of the print cartridge. In the mode single-cartridge, the product can only printing from the computer.

  Wow this is very disconcerting.  I have the same problem with a 14 months old hp deskjet 3520 - prints without black - or very light ink.  Cleaned print heads several times, tried a second new hp black cartridge.  Ugh, just bought 3 new black cartridges and 3 color cartridges.  It's not fair... HP?

  I have not tested but the key "Reg" is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\HP Color LaserJet 2605 PCL6 class Driver\DsDriver, which has a printduplexsupported value that should be set to 01.   Using the print option,-you're always going the same route that FrameMaker Win has always been, that uses the postscript RGB driver only Windows. Now with FM9, you have the possibility to get CMYK directly to PDF, as defined, without any color conversion. • Photosmart HP 5510 does not leak possible internal ink black ink print

  A few days ago, I noticed that my 5510 photosmart printer was printing not anything in grayscale. The printer was only print a blank page. Given that the black cartridge was running low I deciced to replace the cartridge with a new cartridge HP XL Black real. This doesn't seem to work so I replaced the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges as well because they were weak. Once again this seems not the problem with the black ink print do not. I tried UN plugging in the printer, restore the factory settings, the ink head cleaning (as well as manually clean the black ink head), uninstall and reinstall the printer on my computer software and ensuring that each cartridge is properly ventilated properly. I tried to print a color document printed fine, but he left what was supposed to be black on the page.

  I have a HP Officejet 6600. I replaced the black cartridge with a new HP black ink cartridge. This message keeps poping up, there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP. It gives me as two solutions. Solution 1: Reset the product. Turn the product off, and then unplug the power cord. Plug in the power cord and then press the key to activate the product. I've done this three times. • DeskJet 932C, you can print with just replace the black ink cartridge?

  My question is basically simple.  The printer DeskJet 932C can operate with only black ink?  Color ink was empty for a while now, but the printer kept working, printing in black and white.  Due to the cost of the ink and the absence of any income available, we just changed the black ink cartridge.  The problem now is that the printer will not print not even black and white.  Do I have to scrape some funds to replace the color ink cartridge, or y at - it another way to get the printer working with just the new black cartridge?

  Your printer can print in black only, but up to a certain point , you need tri-cartouche color otherwise it will not print. It's a little late now, otherwise if you only need to print B & W, a monochrome laser printer is very good and much cheaper to run (in terms of cost per page).
