  I was flash deployment on our computers (win 7 clients) with the option 'never check the updates. I was choosing this option because we use user account control in our environment and updates have been asking to specify a name of user and password.

  Well I learned yesterday update silent and deployed a mms.cfg file customized via Group Policy. I checked, and flash has not updated on computers in question. The question, I discovered, is that when I choose 'never check updates' service update flash and the task were not installed!

  Does this mean that I have to reinstall flash on each computer where I installed flash with the option 'never check updates'?

  I solved it.

  Run FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe from a command line located at C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\ (64-bit) or C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\ (32-bit) with the - Setup switch.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

• Problem with the microphone back after update 6.0.1

• Problems with the smartphone after CSI updated!

  I recently updated my Live with player at the build.587 and noticed the bugs, most of the people are on (e.g. Messaging bug LED light), my main problem is the battery. My battery drained from 49% to 27% in 2 hours - it's pathetic, I think that there is something wrong. Also I put a restriction on the basic data, no task killer/antivirus, no other "heavy" apps-apart cards. Xperia Mini my brother gets along fine, it gets about 15-20 hours out of it. So what is the problem with my Live, battery saving tips?

• Problems with the Out-of-Band updates

  I am running Dell v2.0 OME.  Everything works great including the updates via OMSA. However, the updates made via the iDRAC connections fail every time.

  I could say I tried everything, but I thought someone might help me with troubleshooting whole again in case I missed something or did something wrong.

  The connections of the DRAC live on a different subnet, but there is no firewall between these two networks.  Only a router that routes traffic between the two.  As I type this I came with some other ideas, but if you have something to offer that would be great.

  Well the call with Dell has not helped, but eventually I was able to understand it.  I learned that during an attempted search on a (executable) package for download, IIS returns a 404 error.

  An example URL is http://[nameofserver]:1278/install_packages/Packages/SAS-RAID_Firmware_C3X7D_WN32_12.10.6-0001_a12.exe

  I had to open the Web.config for the bulk of the site and adds the following snippey inside the section.

  
          
  

  The site's web.config file is located in C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\Essentials\wwwroot\Essentials\.

  Once the module was in place, I was able to navigate to any package and it would prompt me to download it. From there, I tested the updates again on the ESXi hosts and all is well again. I hope that this little information helps someone else!

  We use LANDesk Management following the image of our machines when they arrive.  We have just received a new shipment of 6300 Pro and we are unable to get them PXE had.  I'm unfortunately not on the site with workstations.  We get a server timeout of response time when network boot. Technicians are invited to select IPv4 or IPv6.  After selecting the IPv4, it displays:

  On IPv4 PXE boot

  Then the computer starts Windows 8 Image of HP.   We have not had this problem with any other Pro 6300 in our environment.  What needs to be changed in the configuration of the BIOS for it to perform a PXE boot correctly again.
