Problem with the copy of a website on my desktop

I have a Web site as a shortcut on my desktop that I use every day for the last year.  Now, it won't work, gives me a long https address and says Application not found.  I tried typing the internet address and send ALT + shortcut file on the desktop, then try to open this shortcut, always get Application not found (not sure if this is the same address https, too long); I also opened a new tab, type in the Web site, copy Web site, stuck on the desktop, always get Application not found.  Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

On a different note, but similarly, this began after I installed Google Chrome to try because I wanted to use the thumbnails that appear on the tabs.  According to Google, Microsoft told them to remove the feature, but users have not received a warning.  Many of us have lost a lot of time trying to figure out why he left work and reinstall the things and restore to previous dates and contact the Microsoft IM Support (which was NO help!).  It would have been nice to have had the opportunity to keep the thumbnails; or to have received a notice that they have been deleted.  The vignettes have been a HUGE time saver and help MANY of us.

Once I installed Google Chrome, this particular website would not load.  I thought that Google Chrome has been the problem, so I've now uninstalled and am back to use IE8 and Google, but the original shortcut, nor any that I created since then, will work.  The site I'm trying to make a shortcut is the login to my email on the web page.  Please notify.

Have not heard of anyone.  I turned off my computer and restarted, it hours later.  Now, when I click on the desktop icon original that I have used for over a year, it tries to open the Web page in MS Office, or maybe it was the word, don't remember.  If it was last night and I was too tired to write here to ask.  So now, I just clicked on the icon on my desktop (old original) so I could tell you if it tried to open in word or outlook and guess what?  He opened the site very much.  The craziest thing ever!  So I guess the problem worked itself, somehow!

Thank you very much for the help!  Very appreciated and like that, we have a place to try to get help when we need it!

  • Are there problems with the copy a backup of one old drive to another?

After buying a hard drive TB Seagate external 3 to make backups, I conclude that, because of differences in sector I can not create a backup image to the new drive.  I did an image backup on my Toshiba 1.5 TB and then copied the file to the new 3 TB drive.  While it is a pain, for the moment, I don't see anything around him.  Are there problems with it?

    Hello

Because you can't save the picture of the system directly on your 3 TB hard drive, you can save on your 1.5 TB hard drive, and then copy it to 3 TB external hard drive.

If you want to restore, you can restore directly from your hard drive 3 TB.

I have problems with my site open in Safari, I get Safari can't connect to the server and can not connect through Dreamweaver on the server.Screen Shot 2014-10-31 at 12.57.25.png

I contacted my server assistance by email and they sent me the following note:

I asked to let me know what I have to do what I do not understand this at all.  I'm still waiting for an answer but the thought in the meantime if anyone can let me know what I need to do in simple terms?  The server is based in Bosnia, which was a surprise for me because I thought it was a company in the USA, you mind I've used them for 2 years, but I'm not their phone or chat online, so can be a little frustrating when I have a problem.

Pretty simple. Just look at the configuration for all devices with e-mail clients in your home. Including PCs and mobile devices like tablets, phones, ipods, etc. Open the configuration for each device e-mail client and see if there is an entry for this server. This was not just in itself. Someone in your household configure an e-mail client to connect to your e-mail server web host.

  • I can't play DVDs in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 Pro and get this error msg: Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection.

Hello, thanks for reading and helping me.

I try to play a legitimate, belonging to DVD, but Windows Media Player 12 will not play on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  The DVD worked a few days ago, but all of a sudden, I get the following error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD player and the video card protection decoder. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

I did a lot of research of these forums and on the ' net.  Here are the suggested steps I tried without success:

    • I tried VLC player.  This works.  However, rather than use this workaround, I wish to find a solution to my problem WMP/WMC.
    • I tried several DVD for years over the last decade.  These DVD works on my laptop, also running Windows 7 Professional and the shark 007 codec.
    • I uninstalled my Shark 007 codec
    • I tried other codecs (K-Lite)
    • I assured that the latest drivers are installed on my video card, XFX ATI Radeon 5850
    • I tried to uninstall Nero 9
    • I tried to use the Windows 7 troubleshooting options:
    • > Reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu - ray (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player DVD (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player Settings (detects a problem, wants to restore factory settings, every time, no matter what happens)
    • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
    • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
    • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
    • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
    • I tried to reset my DRM by renaming the DRM under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows folder and by going to this Web site to upgrade:http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1
    • I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center via the function "functionality in Windows.

I would be very grateful if a Microsoft technology could chime.  Thanks for your help!

  • My laptop is windows 7 and with most of DVD it says that there is a problem with the digital copy. I'm also having trouble changing the region

the exact message is: "windows media player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection. Try to install a driver available for your video card. When I click close it comes with this another message saying that my DVD system is set to the region one and I need to change it to region 2. I have change for the region, but he said: "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because the disc prohibits playback in your region of the world. You must obtain a disc that is intended for your geographic region. ». I don't know what to do.

There is a chance that the free VLC Media Player
would be to read your DVD without changing the region code.
