Problem with the help of Word 2000 with Vista computer

I installed MS Office 2000 Pro on my Vista platform.  Everything works EXCEPT the word.  When I start word
I get the Basic with no toolbar window, a blank page and nothing else.  I get the following message when I close it (using the Task Manager, as the program is not responding).  I've seen this problem on the forums, but nobody seems to have an answer, and I tried to do it intelligently as to what is causing the problem by searching for each of the
hang the signatures, but can't seem to find, so I can't say if there is a conflict or what.  I uninstalled and cleaned the registry, files and such usually left over after uninstall, but have still not luck with Word, well that whenever that everything else works.  If I could give a meaning to the coding in signatures hang I would try but I'm not a programmer and outside to recognize that part of the encoding is hexadecimal, I am operated by.  Any help would be appreciated!

To the best of my knowledge of the version of Office Pro that I use is 9.00.9327 with Windows Vista Home Premium OS.  All the MS current updates are installed with the exception of. The PS Office since I couldn't get the program to run right, that I thought I'd add Ms could make the problems worse.  The computer is a Toshiba Satellite with processors Dual Core Intel, 4 GB of Ram and 230 GB HD

  • I continue to receive calls from numbers not available with an Indian accent saying that they are from the Technical Department of windows and I have a problem with my computer.

    Original title: scams?

I continue to receive calls from numbers not available with an Indian accent saying that they are from the Technical Department of windows and I have a problem with my computer. Normally, I just say that I don't have and hung up. Today, I took a little further and he said that they discovered that I had loads of malware/viruses etc and that they could identify with them. I was obviously very suspicious because he seemed to have my correct Windows ID number and with care on 'Run' he told me to type things like cmd eventviewer and inf where he referred to a file 1394.pnf. I stopped while he asked remotely to access my computer. However, I got a phone number 01916450337 and his P786000 id I noticed that many people are posting on your forum-is this another one of those scams?

Continue to put the phone down. They are all crooks.

They get you to open Event Viewer, because there are words such as 'critical' and 'error' along the this.

  • I had to uninstall firefox because it was causing so many problems with my computer. I was using the latest version 18. What is the problem?

I had nothing else problems since I installed the latest version of Firefox version 18. It crashes my computer no matter what I do. Even if I do not use the browser. I uninstalled three times and the problems just seem to be deteriorating. Finally, I uninstalled and it did not reinstall again. I will not use again until the problems are solved. Also, I don't know is that funmoods or whatever it is that has replaced my google home page. I don't like software to decide what services I use. I've been a user of firefox for more than 15 years. I've never had problems like this before. I spent in Safari. It works without interfering with the other tasks I do on my computer. I don't know what version 18 is but the previous version of firefox that I used was perfectly fine. I had no problem whatsoever with it. It seems as if this version has not been tested enough. Also my daughter is having the same problems with his computer and they all started with the new version. So it isn't just me. At least give us the option to revert to the previous version and we ask if we want to improve when a new spell. However, I never had these problems in the past with any version of firefox that I installed. I like the features of firefox, but cannot afford to keep restarting my computer. It seems that firefox is hindering and then hangs up the computer and I can't do anything else even if I do not use it. It seems to stay in the background and just hang up. Please fix this.

The problem is unlikely to have been with Firefox itself. It is much more likely to have been with some software or malware you have inadvertently installed

Installs official Firefox is not bundled with other software. Firefox is customizable and has many extensions of the software you can choose to install but don't have to do anything.

Funmoods is also a malware or at least software which is often hated to see these messages

If you want to reinstall firefox official site:

Then start playback on the malware removal and the toolbar

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro S200 and the same problem was with my camera. It s is not a hardware problem, it s more a driver related issue No. So, the best thing you can do is update your bios and keep your drivers up-to-date. Just check the download Drivers Toshiba site and make sure you have the latest drivers installed.

I had resolved my stuttering (core2duo 2.33 Ghz, 2 GB RAM) by updating all drivers...

I keep trying to find ways to update all my drivers at a time. There are so many problems with this computer, I'm so frustrated and things on it, I have to PAY TO ASK a QUESTION FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Seriously, I'll blow my head because this trash is so UN-easy to use.

Is - it really too much to ask for a single ' difficulty my * ing of the computer problems "button?

Here is a list of what specifically is messed up. I don't want to spe backspace to show what I mean.

I type really fast and never skip a key. Howeer, the computer ignores the keys as in the words "SPE" and "howeer" I typed jut. Now it's "jut" instead of "right".

So, there is a problem that should not be happenng.

Secondly, I play some games including the [scroll] scrolling bar on the frame-inmousepad does not work, period. 2011-2012 release, so it's something I can't fix on mymouse of course. I tried fixing it, and he says he successfully fixed wa. LOL no, it wasn't, it's just * ed even more.

I downloaded iTunes 9 on my Tobisha laptop Satellite last night and put about 2.5 GB of music on it. I didn't upload the music from the internet. I used MP3s, I had for a few years.

When I went to boot up the laptop this morning the loading process took some time, but it never loaded to the login screen. I just see the bottom of MicroSoft. Is there a compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes? Maybe I put too much music on my laptop?

Boot in safe mode and delete iTunes and all the music I downloaded would solve the problem? Or it is less simple than that?

Don't know where to direct this question if any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

iTunes is compatible with Vista and there should not be any problem.
Yesterday, I installed iTunes 9 on my U400 and everything happened correctly.
If your laptop can not boot Vista correctly, then you should try the repair feature.

Turn on the computer and press F8. Now you will see the advanced boot menu.
    Now, you have many choices.

As a first step, you should try the option called: last good known Configuration (Advanced)

If this will not help and the Vista will not start then try the option called repair your computer. This option displays a list of system recovery tools, you can use to repair startup problems, run diagnostics, or restore your system.

If that does not help, then you will need to retrieve the unit using the Toshiba recovery disc or HARD drive recovery.

  • I'm having a HUGE problem with my computer (Lengthy and detailed)

I have serious problems with my computer and I don't know what to do, it's a very long story, so be prepared. I use Windows Vista Home Premium

-J' have been very frustrated by this virus call "Adware one Step" so I deleted manually, because my Mcafee security has not detected, neither the 'MalwareBytes' or 'HitmanPro.

-With a sigh of relief that I have (hopefully) got rid of the program, I wanted to play this game called roblox. But I received an error

"The application could not initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application"

-Then, after a little research I tried to get the Windows service pack 2 to solve my problems, so I decided to get the Windows Update as well as 19 other important updates. When I try to install the Service Pack, I get the error

    'ERROR_NOT_FOUND 0 X 80070490.

When my updates finished, they are all impossible to install, which resulted in the error 'Code 490. Looked up code490 error, nothing, gone.

-The site of Microsoft, suggested that I have download the system analysis tool in which I did. When it was first downloaded it stop 3/4S the way on the progress bar. And being impatient that I am, I forced closed and refused to work, so I deleted and got another, and now the progress bar... doesnt move at all. Strangely if it ends after the installation of 2-3 hours without the moving bar at all.

-So the thought of my problems are solved, I have re - download the Service Pack and once again failed.

Basically, after I tried all the solutions for the most part they gave me to try to fix the service pack and nothing came. I tried CCleaner and nothing. I'm now desperate beyond this point.

-Another solution was to do a 'sfc/scannow' in the command prompt, I do it and the report comes with 1 corrupted file.

"The details are included in the convertible bonds. Journal windir\Logs\CBS\CBS. Newspaper. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.

Not really but do understand, he moved.

-A final solution that I began to resort to the had to reinstall windows vista home premium again. But demand for the solution that I choose the 'upgrade' choice, but has been grayed out not because of my version of windows is quite recent.

Yet once, did not. I'm in a tight jam. My last resort is a wipe to CLEAN the computer and reinstall all programs. The problem is, I don't really know what important programs to save, because my father was the one who set up this computer at the time, and I had no idea on how to put it together after a clean reboot.

Unfortunately my father is no longer here, so I'm completely alone with this problem. Help, please.

  • Problems with Vista after disk cleanup

I have problems with my computer. I have Windows Home Basic Edition. I decided to do a disk cleanup on the computer to speed up some. After disk cleanup, all icons on the desktop disappeared. I tried to open the word processor in the start menu, but got a message saying that he had either been moved or was not valid, and the shortcut would be deleted. At this point, I have advanced and restarted my computer. Only, it wouldn't start at all. I got the Windows installation disc and crossed to repair your computer option. It took forever for a kind of diagnosis, but the started computer. My desktop background was black and a folder with my files was missing. I have received a message that my activation code is not authentic or valid. I tried to restore the computer to an earlier time, but that would take forever and doesn't not work even in safe mode. What can I do now?  I barely understand anything in this area. Thank you!

I was finally able to do a system restore and validate windows. However, all my files, including photos and important documents have been removed. Is it possible to restore these? And is there anything else I should do to prevent it happening again?

computer automatically starts in safe mode without prompting, a problem with your computer can prevent Windows to start normally

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.
