  I recommend to remove all ink cartridges, disconnect the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer and then turn off the printer completely by unplugging the power cord. Then, restart your computer. Turn on the printer but leave that he disconnected from the computer. After that he ended his power over the cycle forward and reinsert the ink cartridges in the printer and make sure their seat correctly.

  I searched HP website for a possible solution and downloaded a set of instructions using my Macbook connected directly to the printer using a USB cable and the printer's built-in System. Everything worked well and the printer has found that my computer on my wireless network then opened the Mac window to select a printer to add to my list of printer. Photosmart C309a was registered and I chose but then got the error message "year error occurred while trying to add the selected printer".

  I tried several times with the same result. I used the CD that came with my printer which stated that it was the SW for my Mac 10.4 operating system.

  I had a problem at the start when I tried to install everything on the CD and installation put OK until he got to the installation of fax utlilty and it froze. Finally in frustration, I uninstalled and did another installation, but this time leaving out various additional SW and the fax SW that I won't be using this printer as a fax.

  Hi, maybe someone can help me. I'm trying to connect a W540 (no external dock) to an external monitor Dell.

  I tried with two monitors, but none work.

  Connected via VGA port on the side of the W540

  Can anyone offer some so that I can connect an external monitor without having to go through all this hassle every time? Why this affects the laptop so bad (and also, it runs very slowly after that)

  Thank you. A quick update, I contacted Lenovo, and they sent the updated bios drivers. I also uninstalled some software Canon MP Navigator and Lenovo EMC Discovery (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht081844?tabName=Solutions).   I have a home network with 3 computers with windows 7 installed and my server with Debian Squeeze. Somehow I've muddled through the installation of debian and even on my network using samba (after days of research). Everything has been great to work with all 3 computers and my server talking to each other.

  I got internet connection across the home network, and all the computers + Server appeared and was accessible on the LAN. It was with a little D - link DIR-601, last week I lost all the internet connect to Comcast, which turned out be their problem but Comcast informed me that my router was not the best and he was originally put my speed problems.

  So I bought a new router Linksys WRT54GL and installed yesterday and it's where I need help... I have internet connection and you can surf the web on all computers 3 windows and the debian server, all computers 3 windows appear and are accessible on the LAN, but not the debian server.

  As soon as I reinstall the D-link router, everything is back to normal. I tried with my limited knowledge of Linux to change network configuration files in my debian server but so far no change. • Problem with the resolution when you connect to a projector

  I regularly used my laptop connected to a projector via a cable VGA for PowerPoint and video clips view in Windows Media Player.   It is automatically detected and adjusted for different sizes of screen of the laptop screen (1366 x 768) and projector (1024 x 768) and projected with success.   Recently I connected the laptop to a second monitor - also 1024 x 768 - instead, and even once, it fits perfectly.

  Unfortunately, I do not have a restore point old enough until the problem occurred.   I have not found any that was relevant in hidden devices, but in normal Device Manager mode when I clicked on "monitor" it opened a "Generic PnP" entry even when there was no extra monitor or projector fixed.   When an additional monitor has been attached, there were two of these entries.   I disabled them both, and I found that I can now adjust the resolution of a second monitor to a different setting of the laptop screen.

  More often than otherwise, I'm going to print to this printer from one of our laptops wireless and it won't print.

  Is model # D110 you printer a or b?  Here are some steps I take for a quick solution when a printer was working wireless and suddenly quit.

  1. Make sure that the print queue is empty.  If delete you it, or if it was already empty and you can not print, take the next step.
  2. Download and run HP Print and Scan for Windows doctor.  If there is no change, go to step 3.

  I stumbled upon this same question.  5.1 with the search service is completely different than 5.0, this is why the others are not working.

  Here's what I did to solve the problem.  I turned on the regeneration of SSL certificate:

  1. Navigate to https://[IP]: 5480 and connect
  2. Go to the Admin tab and press the button "Toggle the setting of certification" until activated regeneration 'certificate' displays Yes
  3. Go to the network tab and change the host name.  This will trigger a regeneration of SSL (or you can change the ip address).  I don't know if change 'localhost' to something else helped, but it can't hurt.
  4. Restart the box (restart System tab button.)

  At this point, you can look at the start-up of the machine of vcenter console messages.  You will notice some messages about detection of a new hostname or IP and regenerate a new certificate.  You will see all the services to import it again SSL ceritifcates so.
