  I have this laptop for a year and a half. Right from the beginning I had many problems with MSN messenger. Whenever I'll have conversations, or MSN messenger is just on, it gets bogged down.

  -tried MSN with and without messenger plus!

  -stop the Starter sets

  But nothing helps!

  I see many things possible were tired and I have o say I would try the same thing, but I lack one important thing;

  Have you installed updates for Vista together? I mean there are a lot of new MS patches and fixes available and new in SP1 came out too.

  So I think you should keep the OS always up-to-date to ensure a good working order

  I have a Satellite R630 since October 2010 and already I had to reinstall Windows 7 due to fun with the OS and various issues, which some will find to bloat ware as Toshiba have packed and some who are with the OS (what a surprise).

  Fact is if you forgot the password you can t remove yourself. This is possible only from an authorized service provider. So in my opinion, you must contact the guys to get rid of the password.

  Thank you for all the suggestions. With their help, I could finally identify the problem is with the slide itself and not with Captivate settings. The in-depth slide comparison revealed that one of the links incorporated into the problematic slide caused the stop in the navigation. After the removal of this hyperlink navigation has worked fine.
