  I recently bought an a toshiba satellite C40D-C Series notebook PC as my old satellite - essentially - is dying. After you connect to the internet, I tried to download AVG Antivirus on my computer that I don't have - and never - trust McAfee anti-virus that comes with the computer. Every time downloaded AVG then restart my computer, the computer goes directly into the automatic repair system and doesn't let me do anything but to reset or restore. This has happened even with completely removed McAfee. I've been on AVG directly today (January 15), and they have to do remote set-up for me - with the same results. Yes, I'm aware that McAfee is a selfish cry of a system and refuses to acknowledge any other antivirus, but that this issue happens even with completely removed McAfee shows clearly that it is something that Toshiba has worked in the system. I can't even disable the automatic repair tool. I have to be stuck with a McAfee antivirus which, moreover, does not yet or is Toshiba will make an effort to help solve a problem they caused?

  Why this computer isn't allowing AVG Antivirus work? And why, after each attempt to download AVG, the computer goes to auto repair whenever I shut down or restart? Is this a problem with the system or something, Toshiba has done on purpose?

  Hi, I have a Hp pavillion dv 6426us, recently sometimes it freezes, and I have to turn off manually. I use firefox and it oftens gel too (not), it happens every time I use it for a few seconds or more, I have tried to reinstalled firefox and it still does this. even other programs like anti - virus, yahoo Messenger, nearly every program I use will do (no response) for a few seconds before it works. So I think I have a problem with the computer, what do I do to fix this? Thank you

  Try to restore system using System Restore.  getting the error "system restore was not entirely successful.  The system files and settings on your computer did not change.  Details: An unspecified error occurred during system restore.

  1. If you use Norton (Etc), disable it before using System Restore. info at the link above.

  2. try SR in safe mode:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

• problem with the system restore when you try to back up disks

  my system crashed.  would not boot.  Several attempts later, went to the system recovery... do you have a full upward (23 dvd) then did a complete restore.  laptop works.  However restore my files from the backup disks does not work.  I get a failure in the system restore somewhere in the treatment of the disc 12 (out of 23).  Help!  sighing heavily... of course this happens when I am in a time crunch

  Hello cyberterp. I see that you are having problems to restore your data from backup disks. To make sure that I understand you were able to make the recovery of the operating system, but the data you have saved in the course of the process you're trying to get now?

  Check the bottom of the twelve disc and make sure that there are no scratches on it. If there is even the smallest scratch to find a local store that will shine the disc for you; This can allow you to read the data. If discs are in perfect condition and then either media are bad or there was a problem (unnoticed) during the backup process and it is unlikely that you will be able to recover the data.

• Problems with the system SupportAssist credentials

  I created a specific service for SupportAssist account called restrictions that I would use for the credentials of the system.  The account is a local administrator on the server as well as a part of all of the available of OME groups. I checked that I could log in to the OME site with this account.

  However, when I try to set these credentials as the credentials of the SupportAssist system, I get the following error.

  SupportAssist cannot connect to OpenManage Essentials. Please provide the credentials of a user account that belongs to one of the following groups:

  • OME Site administrators

  I uninstalled and repaired the OME and SupportAssist so that to restart the services, etc.  I have also confirmed that the other account identifying information work, including my own OME, access credentials. Any ideas on what's going on?

  Here are the correct steps in Add a service account domain for system identification information in SupportAssist:

  1. prior to any change in SupportAssist, add the service account to the users on the management server running SupportAssist.

  • Server-> Configuration management-> the local users and groups-> users

  2. Add the service account to the Administrators group.

  3. then open the SupportAssist console and go to the settings tab and click on systems of credentials.

  • Update the credentials, and then click on save changes.

  4. If there are no errors, the changes will be saved successfully.

  Note: If there was a previous attempt by adding a specific account without first including in the Administrators group, then this account will not be usable without some significant changes. If another account can be used for systems of credentials, please follow the steps above to add this account. Otherwise, we recommend that you submit a ticket and works with the technical support of SupportAssist to solve the problem.

  Recovery process is very simply.
  Did you create the recovery media (DVD)? If so you can use it for recovery image installation.
  Otherwise, you can use HARD drive recovery option (F8 > to fix your computer) and start the recovery image installation.

  Hi all, I'm really desperate as my laptop have stopped working for the weeks and I need it back

  First question: I installed the window 10 free upgrade successfully, however, I decided to restore the laptop through the window 10 plant factory restore Start menu because there were a lot of unnecessary files and after the window factory restore, I am unable to start again under the window and I get an error message says "no bootable device detected" and the computer goes into a reboot loop no way to factory restore to new outside the window. I try to reset the battery several times and nothing works!

  Second question: I received my acer restore disk that I got from the acer site because I didn't not create recovery media to when my window was working. So I pop the disk with a usb CD-ROM and I was able to get into recovery by the disc menu. However, when I try to choose the option of disk factory restore, he said to start from legacy mode. However, when I go to legacy mode he gave me an 0xc0000017 error code saying: not enough memory to create the virtual disk. If does not work reinstall drive

  Once completed, put the CD/DVD/USB on your PC, boot from CD/USB (maybe you need to start under the legacy if you have the UEFI BIOS)
  Press F12 on startup and choose the CD or USB
  at the level of the Office
  Select your HARD drive
  Right-click on the icon for your HARD disk, and then choose Remove all xxxx and click Yes, and then apply

  If you have a warranty, I doubt that you are using Vista.
