Problem with the touchpad in a new Ideapad G70-70

I bought this computer a few days ago and that I am really satisfied, but only with a problem that is engine drives me crazy, I have a big square thingy that aims to move the mouse - down of those, I now have two funds, if I move my finger on the big square at determined points, it acts like I clicked on the on the bottom left - he heppens much too frequently and can ruin a stealth mission in games, mark the huge amounts of text (followed by a deletion of the text)

(Sorry for the bad paint - my mouse was not available to me at the moment)

the red spot is the place where it heppends

* edit - I still warranty

Hi tomer8009,

The only suggestion I can make is to go into the properties of the mouse, and playing with the sensitivity settings.

I can give you a phone number for support.

  • Problem with the touchpad doesn't work is not on the computer.

Today, I was on YouTube, listen to music, when I turned the volume up to full. My laptop (ASUS) is a VERY high - pitched shrill sound that would not stop until I turned the laptop on sleep. When I turned on the laptop back, the screeching stopped but my Touch Pad stopped working. Fortunately, I have a USB mouse which I use now. I tried following the instructions to activate the keypad, but it does not work. I restarted my computer, and that did nothing.

    Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

(also, I had problems with this laptop in the past, involving having to solve every time turned to have internet access, but a day that goes by and now the internet accessibility works very well.)

    Hi Lucie,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

What is brand and model your computer?

Problems with the touchpad can occur due to a number of causes, including cables that are not connected properly, lack of updates, corrupt or drivers incompatible or because of hardware problems. So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Try to run the suite of equipment fixit and see if the problem still occurs.

Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

    Method 2:

  • Problem with the touchpad: Tap to click does not work if I use a standard account

    Hi all

I have a problem with my laptop that I don't understand and I need help from the community.
As the title says... If I connect to my laptop using a standard account the touchpad does not work if I try to tap to click. Left and right buttons work, move the slider works, works of scrolling, but endearing tape... not even a single tap. If I log in with my account as an administrator, the touchpad works like a charm, no problems. Tap to click and everything you want. If I disconnect the admin account and sign in as a standard user, the problems are back again. I can move the cursor, click on the two buttons (left, right), but I can't type to click...

I tried to reinstall the driver for the touchpad (which is MOMENTUM...) but it did not. I tried to see if there is any option that can prevent this tapping or something... but in the control panel > Touchpad > Tap is turned on. A strange thing in the control panel of the Touchpad is that [when loggend as a standard user] I get an error "unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click on continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click on exit the application will close immediately. "and a new line saying"index was outside the bounds of the array. If I click on continue the error disappears, but reappears if stationary "double-tap" enable/disable option. If I click on leave the Touchpad Control Panel closes...

All this trouble occurs only when I use the standard account. With the administrator account, I don't get any errors so I soar options, disable them, activate them and most importantly, the tap to click works.

What is the problem with the standard account?

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hi Johnxf,

As he works in an administrator account, then probably your standard user account have been damaged and would need a fix.

Follow the article provided below to fix the corrupted user profile:

  • Satellite A300-1EG: problem with the touchpad after installing Windows 7

    Hello!

I had a problem with my touchpad since I installed Windows 7 (64-bit version) on my laptop (Toshiba) A300-1EG.

I tried many different solutions to this problem.
I checked the alignment of the touchpad (be it on) in the BIOS, I tried to install several drivers (on a site of Synaptics, automatically by Windows) and none of these work. Of course, I tried FN + F9 key combination.
When I check the alignment of the touchpad in the Control Panel, everything seems fine. It is written, that "device working properly.

I have Toshiba Software, what may be the cause of the problem?
But I have no idea where I can find something.

    I'd appreciate any help.

I hope to be understandable - English is not my mother tongue :) Thank you very much in advance for any ideas. :)

    Hi mate

I'm not quite sure what problem you have but you should first try to install the necessary drivers touchpad m.
Maybe you used the wrong driver in the past

So Sat A300-1EG belongs to the series of PSAG4E.
The European driver Toshiba page does not provide a special touchpad driver for Win 7 for this device.

But I noticed that Win 7 64 bit drivers touchpad (Alps & Synaptics) for Satellite L500 PSLS3E series is released on the European driver page.
Try both drivers Touch Pad for this device and test it!

  • HP 15 laptop: problem with the touchpad and the key "stuck."

    Hello!

Last weekend, I have an irritating problem with my HP 15 laptop. Bought two years ago and upgrades to Windows 10 a year ago.

First of all, my touchpad started to not work properly. It "freezes" and I can't use it until I click the ESC key, but it doesn't last and "freezes" again a few seconds later. Then, everytime I open a window where there is a text box (Start menu, edge browser, Control Panel, etc.), the number 5 is entered automatically and permanently, as if the button 5 has been blocked. I did a quick check and button 5 do not seem physically stuck.

Yesterday, I restored the system to the factory settings, so I'm back to 8.1 for Windows and then upgraded to Windows 10. Everything seems to work fine, but this morning, the problem was back. Is there something I can do? What is the problem caused by Windows 10 or the computer? Should I restore it to Windows 8.1? Everything worked great til last weekend, I don't know what that was.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Welcome to the HP support community @gouch3.

I understand that you have a problem with the keyboard and the touchpad on your laptop from HP 15.

Have you tried to use a keyboard external and mouse at all?

Have you tried to go to Safe Mode to see if the problems persist in there?

Have you tried to perform a material or forced reset Reset?

Did you do a test of material?

    Have you updated your drivers?

It could be a driver problem to be able to look at that for you, I need your model number. I wish I could give you an answer or not, but at this point without the troubleshooting results and the model number, it is difficult for me to say.

I can say that if everything works in point 8.1 of Windows without problem, the driver TROUBLESHOOTING is a great place to start. Please try to follow these steps for the keyboard and the touchpad of troubleshooting:

    • Beginning
    • Search for Device Manager
    • Search results, open Device Manager.
    • Click on display
    • Show hidden devices.
    • Click the arrow next to keyboards.
    • Right click on the name of the keyboard device.
    • Select uninstall.
    • Continue deleting the names of devices in the category keyboards until the feature of all the names have been uninstalled.
    • Restart the laptop twice.

    Touchpad:

    • Type of research, "Device Manager."
    • Click on Device Manager,
    • Expand mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right click on the TouchPad,
    • Click on uninstall.
    • Restart the computer laptop twice,
    • Reinstall the TouchPad card.

I found a document of troubleshooting for you to try also called Portable keyboard troubleshooting. Please be sure to follow the steps described in this document.

The best document I have for TouchPad problems is the use and troubleshooting of the TouchPad and ClickPad document.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers that need to put up-to-date.

  • Problem with the volume of a new 7 Slate

I'll put up a new slate of 7 and I have a problem with the sound.  I have all the sliders to the max value, but any video or app plays at a very low volume on the builtin speakers. A trial has been with FIOS app that allows me to stream TV shows. I have to hold the Tablet so the speakers are right next to my ear to make the same concersations on the show and it's barely...

    Am I missing something?

How to make your slate with audio files simply by using the application to play music?  And have you tried to play a trailer of the game of Google?  Type right on a movie title and play the trailer by typing on the > arrow.

    What if you use headphones?

Do you have ear system sounds?  Go to settings > sounds > Touch seems to be there where there is a checkbox on the right whether Touch sounds are on or off.

Speakers of slate are not all that, but they do not produce a sound that is strong enough to listen to the TV shows and movies.  If you can not enough volume of them with other applications such as the music plays, there may be a hardware problem.

A few other suggestions... try to restart it.  And back to headphones, try inserting a headphone plug in all the way and disconnected.

  • Satellite 1905 - problem with the touchpad after awakening from Hibernation/standby

    Greetings.

    I've known a few interesting problems with my Satellite 1905 - S301.
Whenever he wakes up from hibernation/standby my touchpad stopped accepting "taps" as a click on the left button of the mouse. It works normally with finger motion detection, but stops at all but it is quite annoying to restart the machine whenever he returns from hibernation mode.

I've done a small workaround and after I close the laptop lid still works but this isn't the way it should work, I would have preferred that she either Hibernate than running for 10 hours without any sense;).

Can someone give me the solution to this problem, please?
    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards
    Akar

    Hello

I agree with you. It s very boring to restart the machine each time to use the touchpad.
This problem appears on the first day?

I think there might be a software problem and, possibly, the new installation of operating system recovery CD Toshiba could help.
I know, the complete installation is not the best solution, but it might help.

You should also check you the touchpad. Satellite 1905 - S301 was designed for the U.S. market and so I checked the American website for available drivers.
It seems that 5.3.203.2 is a newer version of the Alps touchpad driver for Windows XP.

I suggest to reinstall the touchpad driver and check if there is no improvement.

Original title: my drivers are slowly disintigrating.

Hi, I have a Toshiba running Windows Vista.  Lately, the pilots were wrong.  My mouse driver is "undetectable", so I can't turn off the option to click the touchpad, and my printer driver not working or the other.  I tried to reinstall my printer software, and (even though I have administrator privileges on my login account), the driver will not be installed, indicating that it must be done by an administrator.  I have checked the computer of viruses and have found none.  What should I do to fix this?

    b. double-click system click on hardware and then click Device Manager.

  • I have a problem with the touchpad does not not on Windows 7.

Original title: help. My touchpad scroll has stopped working.

I have a laptop of Acer Aspire 5750z-4830. Touchpad scrolling does not scroll when I try. How can I put it to the top after that I took it to be repaired? Since I got it home now it won't work. And I don't have the cd to reinstall.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum. I understand that the touchpad scroll has stopped working.  I'll help you with this problem.

Before troubleshooting, provide us with information.

    1. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

This problem may occur if there are some differences in the file system or the associated scroll Touchpad drivers. Follow these methods:

    Method 1.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter

    Method 2.

You can also follow this link and check if that helps.

Mouse, touchpad and keyboard under Windows problems: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/mouse-touchpad-and-keyboard-problems-in-windows

    Method 3.

Check if control panel touchpad mouse is enabled or not. Follow these steps.

    1 - click on 'start '.

2 - Select 'Control Panel' click the icon of the '' mouse. '' If you don't see the mouse icon, select Classic view of the control panel.

Tab 3 - Click the "peripheral" in the window that appears. Select the 'enable '.

4 button - Click on the 'apply' and select 'OK '.

    Method 4.

Alternatively, you can also try the following steps.

1 - Locate the "Fn" button in the lower right or left side of the keyboard of the laptop. The 'Fn' key has different text color on it or the key itself is a different color.

2 look for the function key (F1-F12) on the top of the keyboard that disables or active the touchpad on the laptop. The key usually has an icon that looks like a touch pad with a finger touch she or a touchpad with a diagonal line through it.

3 - Press "Fn" both the touchpad function key simultaneously to reactive the touchpad on your laptop. Move your finger on the touch pad to make sure it works. Press to disable the touchpad again at any time.

If you need help on this particular issue or any other related Windows issue, let know us and we will be happy to help you.

Why anti-pop immediately following pushScreen in your code?  I don't even know what that would do, but there is a good chance that it will never show your screen.

This does not work for the screen display?  Generally speaking, you would record your screen as a listener for an event and close the form this way, right?

    UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable() {    public void run() {        try {            UiApplication.getUiApplication().pushScreen(_screen);        } catch (MediaException e) {             Dialog.alert("Error: " + e.getMessage());        }    }});

After the BIOS-update to version 2.5, the touchpad does nothing. From the docking station, the l' option option mouse PS2 works without any problem. Starting late, the touchpad no longer works. Normally - before the update - the touchpad began its work immediately after starting not rooted.

    Hello

Are you sure that your touchpad was not disabled?

I mean the FN + F9 key combination to activate and disable the touchpad.

This is why you should check this first.

On the other hand a 3rd mouse driver part could affect the functionality of touchpad too.

In my opinion, you should try to reinstall the driver for the touchpad and test it without connected part 3 mouse.

    Good luck
