problem with USB driver in windows 8

I use winsows 8 in hp probook 4440 s with processor i3.  Recently I have a problem with my usb ports 3. they do not react like usb 3 and most of the time does not at all. I looked for a host controller driver expandable usb 3 for windows 8, but can't find anywhere because it is built with windows 8. Where can I find the driver or what can I do now?

  • Problems with USB devices in Windows XP Mode on Windows 7 Pro

    I have a Palm Zire 21 that I use with ACT! Contact Manager to keep track of my appointments.  I was able to sync the Palm with my ACT database until this week. The device appears on the list of USB devices, but does not connect to Windows XP mode.

    I used this device in XP Mode since August without any problem.  Last week, I started having problems with the integration of XP features and had to uninstall and reinstall the integration features a few times.  I think I have a corrupted somewhere driver.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I solved the problem myself.  In XP mode, I went to the Device Manager and scroll down to USB controllers.  A virtualization USB bus drivers showed a problem.   I uninstalled this device and then managed to reinstall my Palm correctly after connecting it to the USB port, and then going back to the menu at the top of the XP USB mode screen and hit connect when I saw my camera.  The device connected in XP automatically and I was off to the races.

    I have an Australian original Satellite P100 P/N PSPA6A-02N021 (T7200 2 GHz, 2 GB DDR-667, nVidia 7900GTX, 1680 x 1050 display) on which I just installed the latest Windows 7 RC (Build 7100 uploaded on 6 May). After doing a clean install on a new brand Western Digital 500 GB drive, I've had trouble with no output its (error code 10) default driver Microsoft HD audo.

    Because it is a new installation on a disk HARD costs there is no internet connection to research the latest updates during installation. After completing the installation, the search for an updated driver or windows update cannot locate a better driver.

    I updated the BIOS to Phoenix Technologies V4.70 (drawn from the Australian Toshiba site).

    I checked the audio driver which worked perfectly under Vista Business 32 running on this same laptop, and it was Conexant HD audio driver v3.18.051 (dated 04/12/2006). I got this driver on the net and installed under Win7 RC. This driver installed and working, but now I only sound from the left speaker which is very (too) low level.

    What I want to know is, someone at - it else experienced this and how did you solve this problem, or that you have the same or similar Toshiba laptop and the sound works OK or is there another way to do it.

    Have you checked the sound settings on your laptop? Maybe the balance is only on the left speaker.

    To be honest, I think you should wait until Windows 7 will be available and you will find more recent drivers for it, they are compatible with Windows 7.

I am running vista ultimate 32 bit, I have a VIA USB 3.0 4 port internal pluged into my PCI-e slot card now under win 7 cards worked very well decided to have a play around with vista for a while and I can't do work I'm running the updated driver of VIA that is ver 4.50 a install is fine but after reboot is the place where the trouble begains, vista takes the new hardware and install card say that the material is ready for use to check to see if it has installed the HDD attached to one of the ports on the card no luck so if you access the USB controller in the Device Manager there is a yellow tri angle againt the hub USB 3.0 under properties of card error is code 10 this device cannot start , I am a very exprence IT person but it has beat me

    What I've done

    1 reinstalled and uninstalled the driver several times
    2 tried manually the drivers of instllaing using the INF files
    3. hard connected to a different Port on the map

    To access Device Manager:
    1. go to start and type Device Manager.

    5. Select the driver tab and click on uninstall to uninstall the existing driver.
    6. close Device Manager.

  • No Apple USB driver in Windows 10 Device Manager

    Is there a way to retrieve the Apple USB driver in Windows 10 Device Manager.  I downloaded the iTunes 12.3.3 yesterday and now he is gone.
